My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 204: Waiting for Me?
She had nothing left, as long as she could climb into Jared’s bed and have his child, she would have everything she deserved.
Melody Thorne fell silent, she hadn’t heard from Mr. and Mrs. Thorne for the past two years, she didn’t know how they were living now,
She knew they couldn’t handle the blow of the Thorne Family’s bankruptcy.
But, she missed them too.
Seeing Melody Thorne not speaking, Ivy knew she was considering. "You don’t have much time, my father said they are living very poorly now, that’s why they haven’t contacted you. Are you really going to let them suffer for a man you no longer care about?"
"When?" Melody Thorne asked while looking out the window, her starry eyes filled with confusion.
"Preferably today, no later than tomorrow," Ivy answered with a smile.
After hanging up the phone, Melody Thorne tossed her phone onto the bed, wondering what she should do.
Downstairs.
"Has Timmy already gone to the personal trainer?"
"Yes, young madam, the young master went after breakfast this morning. He saw you were still asleep and didn’t want to wake you," the butler said.
"You can all leave now, I’ll prepare dinner tonight."
The butler’s eyes suddenly brightened, "Young madam, you finally made up your mind. Actually, the young master is truly good to you, I’ve never seen him treat any woman so well before."
"Is that so?"
Is he really good to her?
"Of course he treats you well. I could tell when you first married into the Quinn Family, the young master had set his heart on you, otherwise he wouldn’t have sent people to protect you. Even the last time, he went after you and got into a car accident without losing his temper."
Melody Thorne lifted her gaze to the butler, "He got into a car accident?"
How come she didn’t know?
"He did get into an accident. It was said someone tried to crash your car, and to save you, the young master ended up with the whole car crashing off the bridge, bleeding heavily at the time. He still has a wound on his chest that hasn’t healed yet."
And last time you stabbed him, the butler silently added in his heart.
Melody Thorne lowered her head, leaning against the sofa. All the bad things Jared did to her were in the past life; in this life, except for forcing her on the sofa that day, he hadn’t done anything else to harm her.
"Young madam, married couples might quarrel, but they still have to be together for a lifetime," the butler continued to persuade.
"You can leave now," Melody Thorne lay on the sofa, her clear black eyes reflecting a sense of confusion.
In the evening, Melody Thorne cooked several dishes, and after Timmy ate, he went to bed.
As Jared stepped into the hall, the first thing he saw was the quiet little woman sitting at the dining table, having prepared dinner along with red candles, the light softly flickering around her, giving an indescribable gentle beauty.
The once cold and lifeless villa seemed to have gained a different kind of feeling.
"Waiting for me?" Jared removed his coat, his white shirt covering his tall and strong build, his handsome features carrying a lazy, mischievous smile, looking at her with some surprise. He strode over and sat next to her.
His arm draped over the back of her white-carved chair, his gaze fixed intensely on her.
Melody Thorne calmly poured two glasses of red wine, not quite high in alcohol content, but for her drinking capacity, it was still high.
"What’s gotten you in the mood to drink with me today?" Jared took the goblet from her hand, encircling her in the chair with his solid chest and arms.
