Melody Thorne casually brushed the hair behind her as frost began to form in her clear eyes. "Where’s Timmy?"

"I didn’t expect you to come and rescue Timmy yourself just to curry favor with Jared Quinn. I really don’t know if you’re stupid or just naturally brainless," Ivy pointed in a direction. "He’s over there, but whether you can take him back depends on your abilities."

Originally, she didn’t plan to kidnap Timmy, but when she couldn’t find Melody Thorne and Timmy happened to be in the villa, she tricked him out by saying Melody Thorne was hit by a car and was in the hospital. She didn’t expect him to believe it and come running out.

Melody Thorne looked over in the direction Ivy pointed, seeing a man holding a child on the other side of the scenic bridge.

"Did you knock him out?" Melody Thorne’s clear eyes looked like they held a blade of ice.

"Didn’t knocking him out save him from fidgeting around?" Ivy walked toward her, patting her shoulder dismissively. "Since you’re dressed so beautifully to send yourself to death today, I’d feel guilty not sending you off. Go on, step over there, and when I leave, you jump. I guarantee Timmy will be returned safely. If you don’t jump, then it’ll be him who falls."

"Even if I’m dead, I won’t let you go," Melody Thorne lifted her lips. "Even in a dream, I would kill you."

"Then I’ll be waiting," Ivy took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed her hands. "You’ve been making headlines for so long, don’t worry, in the coming days you still will. An unknown actress feeling guilty for causing Ivy’s death jumps into the sea to commit suicide. How’s that for a headline?"

Melody Thorne’s gaze swept the surroundings. This was the ocean. As long as she could stay afloat for a few seconds after falling, she wouldn’t die.

"Oh, are you scared?" Ivy’s hand brushed her forehead, covered in sweat. "I didn’t expect you to be so afraid of the sea. Looks like I’ve chosen a good place for you today!"

Melody Thorne worked hard to calm the terror pounding in her chest. She wouldn’t die, she definitely wouldn’t die.

Ivy pushed her forward; she had checked that no one would swim here, and hardly anyone came because the water wasn’t deep, but the seaweed was especially dense. Falling down with her hands locked was harder than climbing to the sky.

She pushed Melody Thorne to the edge. "I’ll count to three. If you don’t jump, it’ll be Timmy who falls."

Melody Thorne glanced down at the sea. When she called Jared Quinn the first time, the call connected. The second time, it didn’t go through. The third time, she sent a message with the address.

She wasn’t foolish enough to come alone, but she didn’t know if Jared Quinn would see her message.
