My Mage System (BL)-Chapter 339: *A pure heart*
Elias then said to him, "Iris, the woman Alan saved, was one of the first Warrior Spirits I found. To lose her today would have been truly an unbearable pain."
Kevin nodded, as he couldn’t imagine what it would be like to lose someone he had known for so long. Then he asked him, still curious, "So you rallied the Warrior Spirits and fought the Gods together, and what happened next?"
Elias then said to him, "This universe was created by the one called the Creator, and with the Warrior Spirits, we killed so many Gods that it got his attention. One day, just after a battle, I found myself standing in front of him."
He then told them, when he saw that they were shocked by this news, "I immediately fought against him using all the powers of my Stage 3, but he didn’t even move or try to counter my attacks. My sword, which was made entirely of Acrium, broke cleanly on contact with this being. Then he made two identical thrones appear, one in front of the other, and after sitting quietly on one of them, he invited me to take the other one."
As everyone was captivated by his story, he continued, "After that, the Creator asked me why I and my Warrior Spirits were attacking the Gods. I calmed down immediately, as it was impossible to beat him anyway, and I stood in front of him and told him what was happening in our worlds. I told him what the Gods were doing to the humans and why even if I were to die today, other Warrior Spirits would appear and continue to fight against them."
Except for Miguel, no one had ever heard this story, and they were all hanging on Elias’ lips to find out what happened next. Kevin then asked him with a frown, "This Creator, was he on the side of the Gods?"
What Elias told them next really surprised them, "He wasn’t on either side. He told me that he had created this universe so that, no matter what happened, the balance between evil and good would be maintained. What surprised him was that he had given their power to the Gods while the Warrior Spirits had nothing to do with him. He explained to me that it was surely the magic he had used to create this universe that had given the Warrior Spirits their powers."
Elias then explained to them, "Because of the Gods he had created, the balance between evil and good was no longer respected, and that was why the Warrior Spirits were born: to restore this balance, as it was the very foundation of this universe. I learned everything about the Warrior Spirits from him, all the knowledge I taught you, but strangely enough, he never told me what the symbols that appeared on our bodies when we transformed into Stage 3 meant. Then, once he had listened to me and answered my questions, he offered me to make peace with the Gods. To get me to accept this offer, he offered me to become the most powerful of the Gods, and of course, I refused because I was already more powerful than the most powerful of the Gods."
Kevin smirked; indeed, there was no reason for Elias to accept this kind of agreement. As no one dared to ask questions, he then asked, "Yet you became the God of War, so what did you ask in exchange?"
Elias smiled and kissed Miguel’s hand before answering, "I became a Stage 3 Warrior Spirit at 17 because I saw Miguel get disintegrated in front of my eyes. Right before he disappeared, he told me, ’Keep fighting, don’t let them win... Kill every last one of them. You are strong enough to face them... Use all your power.’" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
He looked at Miguel, who was also looking at him with adoration in his eyes, and then continued, "When I rejected the Creator’s offer, I told him that I would continue to fight until I had fulfilled my husband’s wish and that my life without him was of no interest to me anyway. I told him that once I had killed the last of the Gods, I would find a way to die and go to find him wherever he was. So, the Creator finally offered me to bring Miguel back to life, and I then sat down and started negotiating with him."
Kevin couldn’t believe it; so Miguel had died and had been resurrected. As he saw that Elias had no intention of saying anything more about his encounter with the Creator, he just said, "Unbelievable, you’re really amazing."
Miguel smiled happily, seeing Kevin’s enthusiasm, and he understood better why this kid had caught his husband’s attention. Not only was he a great fighter, but he still had a pure heart, no matter how hard life had been for him.
Willow then said to Kevin, "Dad, Miguel doesn’t look good either; let me help him too."
Kevin looked at her and asked, "Sweetie, are you sure? Miguel is very powerful; he’ll get over it in no time, you know."
Willow then said to him very seriously, "You’re wrong. If someone as powerful as him is in this state, then it’s very serious, and it will take him a long time to recover. I’m not sure if I can help him much, but the little energy I can give him should be enough to get his regeneration ability working again."
"Working again?" thought Kevin as he gave a quick look at Miguel. He asked her, getting worried about his master’s husband, "What do you mean by that? Is there a problem with his regeneration ability?"
Willow then explained to him, "According to the knowledge I have received, when someone exhausts his energy reserve and continues to insist on using it, then his regeneration ability stops working to force him to rest. That’s why mental fatigue can even make a God pass out. When he goes to rest, he won’t wake up for days, maybe even a week, because the more powerful you are, the longer you stay unconscious. That’s the price he’ll pay for having drawn so much from his energy reserves."
Kevin then contacted Axel through their telepathic link, and after explaining to him what Willow had just told him, Axel then asked him, "Is she sure this is safe for her?"
Kevin nodded, and Miguel then asked them, curious, "Why are the three of you looking at me?"
Kevin, after getting Axel’s approval, said to him, "Willow would like to help you."
