Chapter 26: The Whitest of Faces Hide the Blackest of Hearts!

Somewhere deep in the mountains, Mu Laoban’s daughter, Mu Jiaojiao nodded her head. "That’s about it. That man killed my father, Sect Elder Mu and bullied me!"

She opened a laptop by her side and raised it for him to see. "I’ve done research, and it seems like he is an ordinary student of the Huaxia University! But an ordinary person cannot kill my father, so I think he’s merely mixing in with the crowd to hide or to stay low while he cultivates."

"Is that so?" Fang He nodded his head. If he successfully killed this guy, wouldn’t he benefit alot?

Cultivators who hid in the midst of mortals were almost always fellows who had got a fortuitous encounter and found many treasures, while being too weak to protect them. They would hide away among mortals and restrain their Qi aura while they slowly cultivated and grew stronger.

There was once the story of a Wang family whose father, grand father, great grand father and family ancestor all looked alike.

It later turned out that there was no Wang family and it was simply a low leveled cultivator living amongst humans. Every few decades, he would grow a beard and move, or shave his head and move.

If he were to have stayed in the Jianghu, then he would have swiftly been killed off and had his treasures taken away.

That man was the Sixth Circle Pseudo Xian realm, Heavenly Hatchet Wang Xue today.

She gave puppy dog eyes to the man opposite her. "You mean you will take care of that mean man for me, Senior Fang? This junior is eternally grateful!"

"No need to kowtow. Just get ready for me tonight." The cultivator uncle surnamed Fang nodded his head. Mu Jiaojiao was unlike all the other disciples of the Desolate Yin sect.

She was an actual female!

The Desolate Yin sect cultivated corpses and ghosts which all had yin energy, and, to balance it, their disciples were all males with innate yang energy. Their sister sect, the Raging Yang sect, cultivated living things, from plants to animals and even people, thus, their disciples were all female.

Mu Jiaojiao was supposed to enter the Raging Yang sect, but her father, Sect elder Mu Laoban taught her a secret technique that allowed her to cultivate corpses.

The only down side was that she had to refill her body with yang energy every year or she would suffer from a Qi deviation.

And the method of her collecting yang, was the same method used in making babies. Or, in cultivation terms, dual cultivation.

How Mu Laoban had gotten the technique in the first place was a mystery, even till today.

Anyways, this caused the disciples of the Desolate Yin sect fight among each other for their turn with Mu Jiaojiao every year, as they were still low leveled and not allowed to leave the sect.

To hold it in and endure a year, those fellows had it hard!

Mu Jiaojiao’s face twitched as she cupped her fists and forced a smile. "Jiaojiao thanks senior for his benevolence."

In her mind, however, she despised him and hoped that Xiao Shen was really a strong senior, thinking:

Senior Fang’s little fang is bigger than my arm! I don’t want to have to use a wheelchair for a month again! Let that Senior quickly kill him so I can alert the Sect Master!

"Ahahaha. You’ll thank me even more when I fill you with my yang qi." Senior Fang had a disgusting smile on his face. He snapped his fingers and a flying sword swept itself beneath his feet, making him soar high into the sky as his parting words echoed in the night sky. "I’ll be back before nine! Get ready for me...."

Get ready for me...

Get ready for me...

Mu Jiaojiao’s face crumpled into something unsightly as she touched her behind. "No way! Go and die, Senior Fang!"

She was a top tier jade beauty who, despite having dual cultivated with every disciple, Sect Elder and the Sect Master at least once, she had still been a pure maiden in other places until she met Fang He.

Fang He had insisted on using those other places to deposit his yang qi and, if she had not been a cultivator, she might have been permanently disabled. "Humph. I should still arrange for the gang of gay men just in case he can escape with serious injuries. I’ll make sure he understands what it feels like to take it from there and repay him the pain a hundred fold!"

While Mu Jiaojiao had a pretty face that was as white as jade, her heart was as black as onyx.

She was a really terrifying person.

***

While the Desolate Yin sect’s only fairy maiden, Mu Jiaojiao, was fantasizing about her gay men revenge plot, Fang He had already arrived at the University town. He stopped his flying sword in the air and used a secret technique to scan the area for even the slightest trace of Qi aura.

"Hmm?" He frowned and narrowed his eyes.

There was no Qi aura.

This meant that the person was either exceedingly strong; strong enough to remove all traces of his Qi aura, or exceedingly weak; so weak that their Qi aura could not be sensed because it was wayyyy too little.

Should I fly a little bit lower?

Fang He thought to himself.

However, he shook his head and decided against it.

Though mortals had some ideas about the obsolete cultivation methods and wrote them into xianxia novels, the parts where cultivators were dumb as f*ck and would rashly attack was a complete lie.

Infact, it was actually propaganda spread by human cultivators so that the cultivators from other races would believe that humans were dumb and underestimate them in battle!

Due to the lack of Qi aura, Fang He did not immediately decide to attack on a whim. He did not even dare lower his flying sword.

If a terrifyingly powerful senior was really mixed in with the mortals and was hiding an incomparably precious treasure, there was no way he would be able to leave with his life.

Thus, he decided to probe this unknown cultivator’s strength through roundabout means!
