My Kitsune System-Chapter 47

Dan looked at its hand.

A bit in the corner of the courtyard. From the shadows emerged none other than Zuberi. He saw the demon as it stretched its hand to Dan. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Zuberi then pulled out its sycthes, ready to pounce.

****Outside the fortress

The field is dark and filled with dark fumes. The smell of burnt meat permeated the air. The field was scorched in some places, while other places were covered with blood.

Both the demigods and demons had casualties on both sides. With some leaking blood and others had missing limbs.

In the middle of all this chaos, there was only one person in the middle of all this chaos. His burly hair dripped blood. His golden armour was stained with the blood of his enemies.

Even his beard had gotten drunk on the blood of his enemies. It dripped every once in a while.

His eyes were ablaze.

His body kept on releasing hot steam from his armor. The very ground he stood on seemed to be melting.

Beside him was another demigod. Her blonde hair and pretty face were covered with blood.

Only one person beside them wasn’t covered in blood.

His armor still looked clean. With fluid movements, he moved around the battlefield. Slicing down every enemy without giving them a chance to even defend themselves.

They had almost brought down the wall.

"Its time to bring down the wall" Renjiro spoke.

Baozhai walked up close to the wall.

Whizzz!!!

A spear flew towards him, tilting to his side he evaded the spear. He caught it and threw it back at the demon. The force was soo great that it pierced the demon’s eyes. Passed through it and pinned the demon to one of the fortress walls.

Holding unto his weapons, the temperature around him kept increasing.

"Blazing judgement: ten suns descent" Baozhai spoke this words softly.

Tiny sparks began glowing around Baozhai. The tiny sparks condensed into ten glowing balls. They kept glowing and growing.

They kept growing till there were the size of two balled fists together, before they finally stopped.

Baozhai then struck his blade forward and immediately following his strike the balls moved forward and struck the fortress. The places the balls landed, got destroyed and turned into rubbles.

Seeing this the demigods cheered as they rushed and ran into the fortress to bring it down.

****Fortress: Courtyard

Within the courtyard there were three beings. With two in the center of the courtyard. With one’s hand outstretched to the other.

The last of the beings was stuck close to the shadows and was not really seen neither could he hear what the other two were saying. He was just waiting for Dan to reach for the demon’s hand so he could strike him down.

"Why do you stay with beings who don’t want you?" the demon asked.

"Why choose them when you know at every turn they want you dead"

Dan looked at the demon, its words had struck a chord. He knew that yes he wasn’t liked by the demigods and that they wanted him dead. Ever since he got thrown into this world, all he had ever gotten were scars and being at the sharp end of the sword.

"Tell me what you have gotten for choosing them all the way? You were delivered to our door step. Or did they tell you they would come for you? if they did where are they now?"

His words do make sense... Would it really be wrong to go with them. Yes, they may back stab me but I would be ready then.

"And what am I to get if I were to join you?" Dan asked

"You would benefit immensely. For one you would get to keep your head. You would also be helped to reach your full potential."

"Okay, I have some questions though. Why all these fights? what is going on?"

The demon looked at Dan intently and it remained quiet for a while.

"I won’t be able to answer all your questions till you are one of us. But then I can say this much. This is the beginning of the end. A war for the heavens"

A war for the heavens?

"This war is soon to take place. With Him as our leader we will rule the heavens and bring down the age of the gods."

When you mean him? Do you mean the other fox?"

The demon remained silent as it observed Dan.

"Yes, the kitsune. With its help we would bring down the age of the gods. So, what do you say?"

"I’m sorry one last question. Let’s say I were to join. Would I ever get to meet HIM?"

A smile began growing on the demon’s face.

But you already have. The fox is closer than you think

Closer than I think

Dan’s eyes widened.

His mind began racing from all the people he had met.

Was it the demigods? No, it couldn’t have been them right? they have none each other for a very long time.

And then it hit Dan.

The being he had met in the castle. It was too powerful to be a regular being and it said Dan already knew it.

So, that’s the Kitsune? It must really be powerful being. No wonder I couldn’t really tell what it was and I just obeyed all it’s command. Does that mean that the kitsune chose me? Or is that another being entirely?

Dan had now acquired too much information.

So, it seems the world is bigger than I thought. Bigger than the god games itself. The decisions I make, the allies I make will come back to affect me and I need to choose wisely Dan thought.

Picking the demons would make me an enemy of the gods. And I’ll be hunted by the demigods. I still want to go back to earth.

Dan’s eyes began glow and his shadow swirled.

I see you have made a decision the demon spoke.

"Yes, I have"

The air around them began to get distorted.

"Soul reaper come forth"
