The arc of flame tore through the swarm of goats and sheep, with three goats vanishing in a flash of fire and spiritual energy.

Their bodies unraveled into smoke before they could even hit the ground and the crowd erupted into cheers.

"Wooaahhh"!!!

"YOOOOOO!!!"

"Did You See That?!"

"He Just Erased Them!!"

"Yeah, but look. There’s more right in front of him." A demon pointed and more beasts came.

The sheep dove from above with their mouths wide open and their fangs bared as they leaped onto Aster but Aster suddenly vanished right before their eyes.

Then he reappeared mid-air with another blade in his arm before stabbing it downward and the sheep exploded into fragments of light with their spiritual energy dispersing right after.

Across the arena, several demons leaped to their feet as they each praised the dragon prince whose presence and battles were becoming too good to ignore.

"Wow, amazing!!"

"He’s Too Fast!"

"That was truly amazing."

"To think that the prince is still a Zero Order Demon, this is just too good to be true."

"But wait, there’s still more!!"

"Oh yeah, you’re right."

"The panda is still over there." A demon pointed at the panda and everyone watched as the panda roared out in anger.

*Roooarr*

It charged and the ground shook as the massive spirit beast barreled forward with its fear spiritual energy, condensing around it like an armor.

Every step it took cracked like stone but its red eyes remained locked onto Aster with murderous intent.

"Crush him!" It commanded and the remaining goats scattered and laughed hysterically as they attacked from every angle but Aster didn’t retreat

Instead, he inhaled and then exhaled as the air ignited around him with flames spiraling outwards from his body in a controlled surge which formed a burning ring that ripped through the attackers.

The goats screamed as their bodies crashed helplessly to the ground.

Now, only the panda remained and it charged straight at Aster but he caught the blow bare handed before releasing a blow in return.

The impact detonated like thunder and the shock waves rippled through the clearing, causing the panda to freeze with its eyes open wide.

Aster’s grip tightened and the flames crawled up the panda’s arm, releasing even more fear into the panda.

The beast growled as its body split apart and its roar got cut off mid sound.

Silence fell and Aster slowly began to disappear before reappearing in the arena as the crowds yelled out in excitement.

"PRINCE ASTAROTH!!!"

"That was insane. I love it."

"How did you see the beasts before they even appeared? Can you teach me?"

"Your Highness is so amazing!! You’re the best!!"

Demons screamed, cheered, stomped and howled as the projection crystals replayed the fight from multiple angles.

Meanwhile, in the royal stands, Vivian smiled while Lily jumped up and down as she watched her big brother return back safe and sound.

And from across the continent, countless viewers stared at their screens in amazement as they cheered loudly.

However, the battlefield hadn’t ended with Aster.

Aster had merely been the first to advance into the next round.

Across countless other combat zones, the spirit beasts continued their charades because in one forested ravine, a young demon conjurer screamed as invisible hooves stomp his chest.

The spells he had cast earlier collapsed mid cast because fear had shattered into his focus, causing his knees to hit the ground and a goat spirit beast laughed gleefully as it watched it happen in front of it. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"BAAAH~ another one down!! Muahahaha ~!!" the spirit goat laughed out maniacally.

Meanwhile, in a different location which looked like a ruined village, three enhancers charged together without really knowing exactly where the spirit beasts currently are.

One swung at empty air while another struck his own ally by mistake and the third ran screaming into a wall until he knocked himself unconscious.

The battle continued across several different locations and spectators watched in silence as contestants dropped one after another.

Some fainted while others broke down crying and others never even saw what struck them.

"This round is really brutal." a demon muttered .

"I know right. It’s a lot more harder than the first round. But it’s definitely exciting."

"Hey, guys. Isn’t that the first demon princess?" a demon pointed at the screen.

Meanwhile, in a snow-dusted clearing far from where Aster had battled against the panda and its lackeys, Astrid stood motionless, staring at her target.

Her breathing was steady and her eyes were focused as she stared at the spirit beasts surrounding her.

They released their fear spiritual energy and aimed it at her, but it meant nothing to her.

And in a single motion, Astrid raised her hand and a spear of condensed frost, mixed with spiritual energy formed instantly.

Astrid thrust the spear and the panda spirit got impaled mid-roar.

It turned frozen solid before exploding into shimmering shards that dissolved into mists...

Noticing this, the remaining goats fled but Astrid didn’t pursue them.

Instead, she turned around calmly and teleported back into the arena, making her the second to qualify into the third round of the tournament

Back in the royal stands, Isabella smiled and nodded as she watched other contestants slowly appearing one after the other.

Time passed and the remaining survivors and contestants slowly dropped.

Lilith stepped forward and her wings unfurled with a huge smile on her face as she approached the spectators.

"Well then~ it looks like we have only six hundred contestants left but don’t relax just yet."

"If you thought the last two rounds had been harsh and difficult, then I hope you’re seated comfortably because the next stage of the Demon Youth Tournament is about to begin, and trust me when I say this is where things finally get fun.".

Hearing this, the crowd exploded in excitement.

The cheers didn’t stop and it rolled through the arena as it crashed against the stands as names began to flicker across the projection crystals.

Figures slowly began to materialize with some standing tall while others collapsed the moment their feet touched the stone floor

One demon dropped to his knees and vomited, his hands shaking uncontrollably.

Another laughed hysterically, with his eyes unfocused, until officials rushed in and dragged him away..

A third never stood at all and everyone were given a few hours of rest before they could return back to the arena.

Meanwhile, the projection crystals replayed fragments of the previous round, with demons screaming at invisible enemies, and their spells detonating into nothing.

Some had their bodies slamming into trees.

But what drew the loudest reactions from the crowds were the highlights about Aster’s flame attack which was replayed from three different angles.

Including the panda spirit freezing mid-charge, and Astrid’s spear attack which was cold, absolute and astounding.

The arena roared again when her image appeared and they watched as she stood calmly amid frost and shattered spirit remnants.

In the royal stands, Vivian watched with composed pride, one hand resting lightly on Lily’s shoulder.

"That’s big brother!" Lily said loudly, pointing even though everyone already knew.

Vivian smiled and nodded in agreement as every other adult smiled as well.

Nearby, Isabella sat close by.

Her eyes remained fixed on the screen as Astrid’s name solidified among the qualified contestants.

She wasn’t smiling and neither wàs she frowning.

Down on the arena floor, the six hundred survivors were gradually herding into formation.

Officials moved through the ranks, scanning, marking, counting again and again while some demons avoided eye contact and others stared at the ground with their fists clenched.

A few, very few, stood relaxed and Aster was one of them.

Astrid was also relaxed as well.

Once again, Lilith arrived and floated down toward the arena floor.

She landed atop a raised platform and the crowd quieted instantly.

"Well then~ Congratulations contestants." Lilith said as she faced the arriving contestants.

"You’ve made it through two rounds but things will only become even more harder from here on."

"The third stage of the tournament will be a duel elimination round, so whatever you do, just give it your all."

"Alright, let’s get this third round started."

Right after Lilith said this, she waved her hand and everything around the contestants shifted.

At one point they were in the arena, but now, everyone had been teleported into their respective battle locations.

Aster landed on solid stones and his boots scrapped across scorched ground.

The air was thick with heat, but he didn’t mind.

Moreover, he wasn’t alone in this strange location because across from him, barely twenty paces away, there was another demon who materialized.

He was a male demon with broad shoulders, dark-red skin and a spear in his grip.

But then a barrier snapped into existence between them and a loud sound blared for both parties to hear.

ROUND THREE , DUEL STAGE ELIMINATION MATCH BEGINS NOW.

The words spread across the terrain and the barrier dropped back down, but right after it did, a spear flew in the air with a shriek, aiming straight for Aster’s throat.
