"I’m over here, Your Highness."
"Eii!!" Astrid shrieked in surprise when she suddenly heard Cara’s voice behind her.
Then she swiftly turned around to confirm if it was really Cara or not. "It’s you! When did you...? How long have you been here with us?"
Cara noticed how agitated Astrid was, so she smiled and replied calmly. "I’ve been here since the two of you stepped into the room to relax, Your Highness."
"Then why didn’t you answer me when I called for you?" Lily asked in a slightly unhappy tone.
Lily was curious because she saw no reason for Cara not to have answered her when she had called out to her.
Before Astrid arrived a few days ago, Lily had noticed that whenever she was alone in the room, playing with her new toys and presents, if she ever felt hungry or thirsty, Cara would always appear out of nowhere with a cup of water or a plate full of snacks for her to eat.
At first, Lily had found it strange to see Cara acting so stealthily. After all, she could have easily revealed herself to begin with, and the two of them could have played together until she felt hungry or thirsty. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
But as time passed, Lily understood that Cara would never reveal herself and would only play with her if Lily willingly invited Cara to do so.
In other words, Cara would always stay and conceal herself in the same room with Lily unless the princess needed her to reveal herself.
But this didn’t explain why Cara had not answered Lily when she had called out to her, and this was what the little dragon princess wanted to know.
"Forgive me, Your Highness. I was unsure as to whether or not I should reveal myself to you."
"Why?"
"Because it seems Your Highness is thinking about doing something against Her Majesty’s wishes."
"But Mom won’t know a thing if we just leave and come back really quickly."
"But, Princess Lily, Her Majesty won’t be..."
"Please, Cara, pretty, pretty, please." Lily clamped her hands together and began to blink with her trademark puppy-dog eyes, which were too adorable for Cara to resist.
"Fine, but we’ll only be staying at the garrison for one hour."
"Woohoo!! Thank you, Cara, you’re the best!!"
"You’re welcome, Your Highness," Cara replied with a smile. "Alright, Your Highness. If you’re ready to leave, then I suggest we do it now."
"Oh, okay." Lily nodded instantly in understanding.
Since they had to leave and return as soon as possible, Lily understood that now would be the best time for them to depart.
She immediately turned to Astrid and the two girls gathered everything they needed before leaving the castle with Cara.
Cara had also helped them pack up some snacks and beverages for the way before guiding them into the carriage they would be using.
Once everyone was seated, Cara moved to the Coachman’s seat.
Then she sat down and said in her thoughts. ’We’re about to leave now, Your Majesty.’
Her thoughts were instantly sent to Vivian as a direct mental message.
Hearing this, Vivian smiled as she watched the carriage safely exit her citadel before diving down into the capital city.
To think that her little, cute, princess would deliberately disobey her was something she could have never imagined would be possible until now.
But rather than feeling upset about how her daughter had done something against her wishes, Vivian was feeling something completely different.
Rather, the dragon queen was feeling very happy because she could never have imagined her little one doing something like that. But, at the same time, she couldn’t really blame Lily, because the little princess had been wanting to watch her big brother train for quite some time. So it was expected for Lily to feel impatient at some point, and that was exactly what had happened. Therefore, Vivian wouldn’t mind allowing Lily to enjoy her precious moment of sneaking out of the palace to see her big brother.
However, this didn’t mean that Vivian wouldn’t punish the little dragon princess for deliberately going against her wishes.
"Hmm, how should Mama punish my little one once she returns?" Vivian said with a giggle as she tapped her lower lip with her finger. Then she smiled naughtily as an idea suddenly popped into her mind.
"Ufufufu~ I can’t wait for them to return."

Lily and Astrid had finally arrived at the garrison, but they didn’t land on a spot where Aster would easily find them, they had to land a few meters away from the garrison.
They did that because they didn’t want Aster to know that they were in the garrison spying on him, and they didn’t want to distract him while he trained.
It would only make Vivian upset if she were to find out that they had visited Aster in the garrison.
So it was best to keep a low profile throughout their time in the garrison. But when the girls stepped into the building, a strong wave of heat suddenly slammed against their faces and they both watched as many Jack-o’-lantern knights trained very seriously.
Some were literally burning with flames as they continued their exercises while others ran around the area while ignited in flames.
One could only wonder if these guys ever got tired of how hard they trained every single day. But they didn’t, because it was something they enjoyed doing and their body had grown accustomed to it.
Cara guided them across the path to where they could find Aster.
She had cast a soft spell that would allow Astrid and Lily to remain invisible, just like her, and this allowed the three of them to easily walk past all the men who were yelling and screaming one particular word over and over again.
Upon arriving at a particular spot, Astrid and Lily watched as Aster was doing some really intense push-up exercises.
They watched him do the same thing as two other knights as they all shouted the same word over and over again.
"Why does Prince Astaroth keep saying muscle?" Astrid asked Lily.
"I dunno, but I like it." Lily said happily as she watched Aster train with the other knights before moving on to a sparring session with Hallie.
The two of them had more fire magic lessons to go through, and the sparring session was a really exciting one because Lily and Astrid enjoyed every bit of it and neither of them even knew how much time had gone by while they were watching Aster and Hallie.
If it weren’t for Cara who had reminded them that they had to take their leave now, both girls would have probably still been watching the session till now.
And so, with nothing else to do, both Lily and Astrid returned to the castle, along with Cara who returned the carriage and the bicorns back to the stables.
Meanwhile, Astrid and Lily made their way into the castle, but the moment they walked through the castle doors, their eyes suddenly fell on Vivian, who was standing at the far end of the corridor.
"Mama? What are you...?" But before the little princess could ask her question, Vivian suddenly interrupted her with a very scary aura oozing out of her body.
"Where have you been, little lady?"
"Um, I was..."
"You left the castle, didn’t you?"
"Um, yes, but I..."
"Oh my. To think, my little one would be so bold as to disobey a direct instruction from her mother." Vivian said dramatically as she placed a hand on her forehead and feigned a look of distress and unhappiness.
"Mama, I’m sorry. I didn’t..."
"Oh, it’s too late for you to apologize now, my little dragon."
"But I..."
"Shh, it’s fine."
"It is?"
"Well, yeah. Since my little one disobeyed me. Mama is now very very upset and since Mama is so upset, don’t you think Mommy needs to punish you for doing something very naughty."
"Punish...?" Lily repeated after her mother, and the moment she uttered the words, Lily suddenly realized what her mother was about to do.
Her eyes widened in surprise and beads of sweat began to appear on her forehead when she noticed how Vivian began to lick her lips like a predator who had just caught sight of a delicious little prey.
"Run." Vivian said softly, and Lily didn’t need to hear it twice before knowing exactly what to do.
The little princess quickly grabbed Astrid’s hand and the two of them turned around before bolting away.
"Lily, what’s wrong? And why are we running?"
"Mama is upset right now and that means she’s going to–" Lily paused mid-sentence when she suddenly realized that she wasn’t holding Astrid’s hand anymore but instead the hand of Dragon Queen.
"Ufufufu... Gotcha." Vivian swiftly lifted the little princess from the ground before raining a thousand kisses all over her face.
*Chuu~*
"Eiii!! Mama, wait! That tickles, wait...!!!!" The little princess giggled loudly as Vivian continued to rain kisses all over her face.
Her laughter echoed throughout the hallway but Vivian didn’t stop what she was doing and neither did she intend to do so.
Meanwhile, Astrid couldn’t help but giggle as she watched everything happening in front of her.
She wasn’t too surprised to see this because after staying in the Dragon Queen’s castle for more than three days, the Frost Demon princess knew how much the Dragon Queen loved her daughter and it couldn’t help but warm her heart as she watched Lily’s face get smothered with smooches.
However, to her complete surprise, Vivian suddenly grabbed her hand as well.
"You’re next."
"What? Me too?"
"Yep." Vivian swiftly pulled her closer before raining countless kisses on her face as well.
"No!! Waaait!!!!"
