My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 69. Do You Want To Be A Snowman?
"If you’re comfortable with it, I don’t mind seeing a little display of your snow magic, Astrid. As long as it doesn’t freeze the entire hall."
"It won’t, Your Majesty. I promise." Astrid assured Vivian then she carefully raised one of her hands above the table with her palm facing up.
Then slowly, her fingertips began to feel really cold and a tiny whirlwind of frost began to spin just above her palm until it turned into a single snowflake.
The snowflake had a crystalline appearance that made it shimmer and shine brightly. Then it hovered above Astrid’s hand before landing gently on the back of Lily’s hand.
Seeing this, the beautiful dragon princess gasped as her eyes sparkled even brighter than a jewel.
"Aww, it’s so pretty. I love it." Lily whispered in a soft voice as she stared at the snowflake, fearing that it might melt or vanish away.
But it didn’t.
Instead, it simply remained still on her hand, and Lily could feel the cold sensation seep out from the snowflake onto her skin.
"This is really beautiful, can you make more?" Lily asked with glittering eyes, and Astrid nodded with a small, genuine smile tugging at her lips.
"Yes, I can." She said softly while turning her palm slightly and this time a flurry of tiny snowflakes began to swirl around her arms.
They floated above her hands before sliding across the table to land gently on Lily’s hair and Vivian’s sleeves like feathers falling onto a surface.
Lily giggled as she brushed them away while Vivian simply smiled as she watched the two girls having fun with the snowflakes hovering around the room.
"This is so cool Astrid. I’m glad you’re my friend."
"M-me too."
"Can you make more snow?"
"Yes."
"Like, really really big ones?"
"Um, I think so."
"Great. Let’s go outside and try making lots and lots of snow for us to play in. We can create hundreds of snowballs and snowmen too. What do you think? Do you want to build a snowman?" Lily asked excitedly.
Although, Astrid didn’t understand what Lily meant by building a snowman, she could guess what Lily wanted them to do, and Astrid was just as excited as Lily to build this snowman and the hundreds of snowballs Lily was talking about.
"Um, that sounds like fun, but..." Astrid paused mid-sentence as she slowly turned to Vivian.
Noticing Astrid’s gaze on Vivian, Lily guessed that Astrid wanted them to seek permission from Vivian before doing anything, so she swiftly turned toward her mother as well.
"Mama! Mama, what do you think? Can we go outside to play? We wanna make snowballs and snowmen. Please, please, please, it would only be for a minute. Pretty, pretty please?" Lily blinked her huge puppy dog eyes several times, and there was no way Vivian could say no to those cute little eyes of hers, so she gave in to her daughter’s cuteness.
"Okay," Vivian replied softly and Lily couldn’t believe what she had heard, so she asked excitedly, just to be certain she had heard her mother correctly.
"REALLY?!" She shrieked with joy and Vivian chuckled as she planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Yes, my little dragon. But only if you put on something warmer. If Astrid is kind enough to show you her snow magic, then I don’t want you freezing yourselves while playing outside."
"Yay!!! Mama, say yes!!" Lily exclaimed as she raised her hands over her head like she was about to shout BANZAI!!!
Astrid giggled cutely, and Vivian did the same before turning toward Cara, who was still waiting at the door’s entrance.
"Cara." She called and Cara phased through the door before bowing respectfully. "Yes, Your Majesty?"
"Please, prepare warm coats and boots for Lily and Astrid. We’ll be heading over to the courtyard shortly."
"Um, excuse me, Your Majesty. I’m fine with what I’m wearing, I don’t need to feel warm while playing in the snow." Astrid informed Vivian.
Although it wasn’t uncommon for frost demons to wear thick coats and clothes, they only wore them during strong blizzards in their kingdom.
However, since they were only going to be playing out in the courtyard, and there was no blizzard here, Astrid saw no reason to wear a thick coat right now.
"Very well. Then, please, Cara, bring the clothes and boots for Lily only."
"As you wish, your Majesty." Cara bowed once again before vanishing from the room.
Meanwhile, Lily squealed with excitement as she couldn’t wait to get started.
She swiftly held Astrid’s hand as she pulled her into the changing room.
Astrid giggled as she followed Lily and a trail of frost could be seen on the floor whenever she stepped on the ground.
In a matter of minutes, both girls were ready to go to the courtyard.
The courtyard doors swung open with a soft creaking sound and a crisp breeze swept past Astrid’s face the moment she stepped into the courtyard.
The cool and warm breeze was completely unlike the icy winds back home, but it was definitely soothing and comforting.
Astrid glanced around, noticing how huge Vivian’s courtyard was.
Lily strolled behind her as well.
The little princess was dressed in a thick coat and her body looked a little bigger than usual.
"Alright, Astrid. Can we get started now?" Lily asked and Astrid nodded in response.
Then she inhaled deeply and exhaled, causing a tiny puff of frost to seep out of her mouth.
She then walked to the center of the courtyard and her boots made light crunching sounds on the stone floor with every step she took.
Her aura also flowed towards her hands and her blue colored fingers began to glow softly. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Seeing this, Astrid knelt down and placed both hands on the floor.
The mana particles around her rippled softly and within seconds, a shimmering wave of frost spread across the ground like a tsunami.
