Chapter 752

Anton paused occasionally while leveling his new Warlock character in Diablo II part of his Diablo System. He had been playing in the screen mode, as if he were in front of a computer, instead of his usual mode, which was entering the world of sanctuary virtually.

He wanted to check what the forest elves’ reaction would be upon seeing a cartoon show like Avatar: The Last Airbender. He knew that at first, everyone viewed the show skeptically since Anton told everyone that a cartoon show was first invented as entertainment for children. Soon, though, he saw that everyone in the tavern was engaged in watching one of his favorite television series.

When the first episode ended, discussions erupted among the elves inside the tavern, but Anton immediately started the second episode. When it ended, Anton exited his Diablo system and decisively turned off his Globe of Browser Sharing, signaling to everyone that watching shows that night had ended.

“So what do you think?” Anton asked Enoril and the other young elves.

“I understand what you meant by the show targeted children. The drawn characters and backgrounds are certainly amusing,” Enoril said. Anton told them a little bit about the process of how animation was made.

“It’s very colorful and attractive to young children,” Another of the young forest elves added.

“The story is quite good, though. How many episodes are there in that show?” One of the elves asked.

“A lot, but I don’t want to bore you with that detail. I’ll show you more tomorrow night if your elders still won't show you the movies,” Antol told everyone.

He did not want to give specific details about the television show since Anton was sure that he would not stay long enough in the kingdom for the young forest elves to watch all of the episodes. If Remonulus was interested in acquiring the show, he would count it towards the trade they did.

When Anton and Enoril arrived at the guest house where he was staying, he was a little surprised to see the old elf wizard waiting for them.

“Can I talk to you?” Remonulus asked.

Enoril said goodbye and left. Anton invited the old elf inside the house.

“Have you decided if you want to include the Star Wars film in our trade?” Anton asked Remonulus once they were seated.

“Yes. At first, we were a little doubtful since we found the story a little slow at the beginning. But the movie got better. We’ve already copied the four films to a magic item so you can use your spell again. Give us the remaining movies in the franchise, and the number of movies in our trade agreement would be numbered sixteen. Just four more and we will reach a complete trade agreement,” The old elf told Anton.

At first, Anton thought that Remonulus would talk more about wanting to buy more movies from him, but he realized that the old elf was patient, and since Anton would need to stay in the kingdom until all of the furniture that he had ordered from Darodil was complete, the forest elves still had time.

Anton immediately gave the remaining five Star Wars films to the old elf, who immediately rushed off to have them copied to a magic item recorder. After the old elf left, Anton continued leveling up his Warlock character until he felt the need to sleep.

When he woke up the next day, the first thing Anton checked was his Warlock character’s level. He saw that his character had reached level forty-eight. It was simply faster to level up a character in the offline mode, since he could use a cheat there to increase the difficulty as if the game was hosting up to eight characters.

If he was being honest, Anton was a bit of a coward. Ever since he transmigrated and started leveling up his Diablo II characters, not one of them had died. He had been extremely careful since he did not know what effect dying would have on him. He was sure that nothing would happen. That his game character could simply respawn, and he could continue leveling up his character without any issues, but he remembered the premise of one of his favorite anime called Log Horizon. It was about a group of people that was transmigrated into a game world that they had been playing. The protagonist discovered that if they died, they would not truly die and could respawn, but the side effect was that some of their memories would be erased.

Suddenly, Anton thought of asking his system. Sometimes when he asks a question to his system through the internet search page, his system would reply by sending him an FAQ notification. He immediately opened his system browser and asked what would happen if, while playing a character, it dies. He did not know if his system would answer, but after a few seconds, he saw a notification blinking in his vision. He opened and was informed that nothing would happen if any of his characters died while playing the game. They would simply respawn.

That message brought relief to Anton. He had been extremely careful, even making sure that he was over-leveled in the zones that he was playing. He did not mind the grind since he enjoyed the mindless action anyway.

Before Enoril left last night, Anton told the elf that he would be busy that day and would meet him in the evening, so he was not expecting anyone to disturb him. He was planning to return to the Rose Manor to visit his family. He wanted to make sure that no issues would occur while he was gone.

Anton freshened himself using a Cleaning spell and used a Town Portal scroll inside the bathroom. Once he arrived, he immediately cast a Blizzard spell that was converted into Mana Rain, and as expected, his father arrived, followed by Raymond.

“Are you not delving into dungeons anymore?” Anton asked his father.

“I plan to rest for a couple of weeks. Your sister already returned to the academy,” Anders told him.

Anton asked Anders if any issues occurred while he was away, after telling Raymond that he had not eaten yet. The butler promptly went out to get breakfast for him. The butler returned after a few minutes and Anton and his father converse while he was eating.

He was relieved that no new issues occurred in the manor or in the family businesses. All of their businesses were still thriving, and the family coffers were still getting larger. An extremely important piece of news spread among the people of Ormunda, though. It was about the wizards managing to open portals from New Drennor to Ormunda.

Apparently, there were several portals available, and a few of them could even be rented by people, though the price was extremely high. They knew that the portal was Anton’s portal scroll because the limitation spread that only eight people at a time could use the portal, but since the use of the portal was extremely simple, just basically stepping into a doorway, the limitation was negligible.

Anders was indignant because Ormunda was earning an extremely huge amount of coins using Anton’s portal scrolls, and they were demanding twenty scrolls from their family for just 20,000 gold coins every month. They even sent a message to Anders that their family was not allowed to share with non-family regarding their ability to use the scrolls, and if others found out, they would need to tell those people that the spell came from Ormundan higher-ups and was only given to them because their family was being favored by Ormunda.
