Chapter 746

The five young elves who were surrounding Anton and Enoril looked at him as if he were a rockstar when they heard that it was easy for him to earn gold coins by simply delving into a high-level dungeon. Normally, a regular adventurer would treat delving into a high-level dungeon with trepidation, and even if they did what Anton was doing, delving somewhere below their power to earn coins, it was still going to be exhausting work. Killing a monster was not an easy job, and a normal high-level adventurer would not do something like what Anton was doing, which was going up or down to an easier level to kill monsters for gold. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

The main reason for that was that killing monsters was still hard work, and it would be better to kill monsters that would challenge a high-level adventurer, since not only would they earn a lot of coins, they would also increase their power.

Anton knew the process of how adventurers delved into dungeons. They would challenge a floor, and when they struggled on that floor, they would stick to it until they could challenge it easily, then they would move to the next floor. When they earn enough coins from the loot, adventurers would upgrade their gear and then move to a more challenging level again. Adventurers would only move to an easier floor if they brought someone they wanted to train, but they usually wanted to hasten that process so they could return to the floor they reached.

Someone like Anton, who could move to an easier floor, summon his minions to kill monsters while lying around on top of a huge mount, covered by a tent, relaxing and doing whatever he wanted inside it, was not normal. Nevertheless, all the young forest elves looked highly impressed.

“I only delve deeper if I want to challenge myself, but fighting a dungeon monster that deep is incredibly difficult. A wrong move would cause my demise. The monsters there are incredibly powerful!” Anton added.

“More powerful than the undead we’ve encountered in that dungeon that you conquered?” Enoril asked with wide eyes.

Enoril and Leldorin had seen the incredibly powerful Arch Lich and Undead Knight in that newly born dungeon. Anton knew that if he was not there, the two elves would have met their end in those dungeon monsters’ hands. The two elves were not combatants but merchants. Even if they were combat elves, their level was simply too low for those monsters.

If Anton were asked about the level of those monsters, he would tell them they were comparable to the dungeon monster on the 50th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta. When Anton shared that information with Enoril and the other young elves, and they learned that he had reached the 65th floor of the high-level dungeon, their respect for Anton almost bordered on worship.

Anton just laughed at the look Enoril and the other young forest elves were giving him. For the rest of the day, he hung out with the elves. They talked about a lot of things, but it was mostly Anton who kept talking about the Otaku culture. He told them about the different things that he had managed to “steal” from the dimension where the movies came from, like different genres of anime, manga, novels, and television shows. He had to explain to them what those things were, but since those things were the things that were close to his heart, it did not bother Anton to do so.

He even showed them commercials, video clips, and trailers of some of his favorite shows. Anton simply projected the screen onto the ground. When noon arrived, they went somewhere to eat and were joined by a few more of the young elves.

One of the young elves announced that he was one writing the “script” for the movie they planned to make, but the elf was ignored and continued staying with Anton and Enoril. The other team shared with the newcomers all the things they had discussed that morning, and a lot of them sulked and pouted like the teenagers that they were, because they had not seen the video clips that Anton had shown everyone earlier.

While talking to people his age, Anton felt himself relaxing. He felt stressed when he learned that his father had been taken by the Ormundan wizards, when he had to consider if he and his family should run, and when he learned that the Undead Coalition had managed to conquer a portion of the kingdom of New Drennor. All of that seemed so far away during that moment, and for a while, he felt like a regular teenager boasting about the things that he loved to his friends.

After they got tired of talking, Anton shared with the elves the music that he loved. He showed them music videos by simply projecting the screen onto any available surface, wherever they were at that time. They had been hopping to different places.

Anton liked hanging out with the young forest elves, but if he was asked, he still would not consider them his friends. More like acquaintances that he had met at a convention. Unlike his friends that he met aboard the ship Amelia, who almost immediately became his best friends, Anton knew that because of his past experiences, it would not be easy for him to return to the time when he was easily able to open his heart to accept new friends.

Maybe after several years, Anton would be fine enough to return to someone who could easily accept people as his friends. He knew that his act of isolating himself was a form of self-protection. His heart had truly broken when he had lost his friends, and he knew that he could not handle something like that happening so soon.

When early evening arrived, Anton, Enoril, and the other young elves went to the hall that was being used as a cinema. Everyone was there already. Anton thought that there would be fewer audience since the movies would be something new that the elves knew nothing about, since Anton did not share any information, but he underestimated how the forest elves fell in love with movies.

Since no one knew anything about the movie that Anton was planning to share, not even Leldorin, no one went to the front to provide any sort of synopsis. Even Anton knew nothing about the Alien film aside from the trailer and the short videos that he had seen. That was the reason why he wanted to watch it, since he found the film intriguing. When Anton started the movie, everyone quieted down.

All of them, including Anton, found the concept of living in space fascinating. Even though everyone knew that it was not real, they could not help but imagine what it was like to travel in space inside a spaceship.

Anton had to stop the movie in one of the intense scenes because an accident happened. One of the younger elves, who was surprised by a jump scare scene, cast an offensive spell towards the screen that destroyed the white cloth that they were using as a screen.

After everyone calmed down, Anton started laughing so hard that he almost fell to the floor. He could not imagine what would happen if something like that happened back on Earth. He guessed that he would have to warn Romina when he returned to the Rose Manor about something like that happening. The young female elf who cast the spell received such a severe scolding that Anton could not help but continue laughing. Soon, the young elves who were sitting with him also started laughing.
