My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 745
Chapter 745
Anton woke up early the next day, which was expected since he never stopped using the Pearl of the Ocean magic item. The gifts from his ocean friends gave him a full night's sleep in just a short few hours, and he was thankful for it, for allowing him to have more active time during the day.
Before getting up, he thought of his situation. Anton's deep worry stemmed from his experience with that Invincible Wizard aboard Amelia. He was worried that the same kind of wizard or group of wizards, even an organization, would get interested in his system-based magic.
Anton thought of possible solutions that he and his family could do to avoid that kind of situation from happening. Even though Anna assured him and his father that the wizards in Ormunda had thousands of years of history under their belt, meaning they had encountered different forms of unique magic that Anton’s magic would not incite severe greed from the wizards, he could not fully trust that statement. He thought of that before. That the wizards of this world were used to different forms of magic was why he naively used his magic in front of people when he should have avoided using the most unique ones.
He knew that some of his magic could be problematic in a way that it was something that could affect the growth of an organization. The best example was his ability to turn mundane people into wizards simply because of his Meditation Aura. The reason for that was because of the speed the aura would allow someone to memorize a spell, and normally, a person who had no talent for wizardry would not be able to memorize a zero-level spell in the normal amount of time, which would usually cause them to give up. The fact was, any person in this world could become a wizard if they had persisted long enough, but everyone just realized that it was not worth it since they knew that they would not benefit from spells that would take days to be memorized again, even though it was just a cantrip spell.
The Meditation Aura hastens a person’s ability to memorize spell and that meant that a person with no talent for wizardry would become a regular, average wizard with the aura. Once that talentless individual leveled up to level four or five, then even without the aura, the rate of memorizing a spell would normalize. That meant that an organization could foster a large number of wizards.
Aside from that, a normal wizard using the Meditation Aura would become prodigies. The Insight Spear that had the Meditation Aura skill was the reason why his father, Anna, and the new four wizards that he hired from New Drennor were gaining power extremely fast.
According to Anna, her teachers in the academy were still not fully aware of what the Meditation Aura was capable of. They never took the spear from her, even for testing, and Anton’s sister had never allowed anyone to join her party system to allow anyone to benefit from the aura. She also knew that revealing that kind of power would be dangerous for the family.
Aside from the Meditation Aura, Anton could create a magic item that would fill a room with tamed mana. The room rich with mana would allow wizards to memorize spells extremely fast.
Anton and his family realized that they should have kept those kinds of abilities secret, but all of them, including Anders, who was supposedly experienced in the ways of the world, naively thought that they could allow Anton to use his magic without repercussions since wizards were plentiful in this world. Not that Anton was blaming his father. Anders was a mercenary before becoming a farmer and had no connection with wizards.
Anton’s portal was another thing that could incite greed from other wizards, but thankfully, its limitation tempered whatever kind of greed the wizards could have from that magic. Anton wondered why creating portals or gates was not commonplace in this world.
With all of that, Anton now had to think of several ways to keep himself and his family safe from others. He found it incredibly bitter that not only he and his family had to keep themselves safe from the undead, but from other people’s greed as well.
The options that they now had were one: for their family to keep on running. Anton knew that his family was tired of running. Even he was tired. Exploring the world because he wanted to was extremely different from running from place to place to survive. Two: as per Anna’s suggestion, they could stay in Ormunda and just continue growing their power until no one would dare turn their eyes on their family because of greed. Third: They could run but stopped in a large kingdom like Ormunda, but then lay low and not show anything unique to anyone.
Obviously, they chose the second option, and Anton was hoping that it was the correct one.
Soon, Enoril arrived to invite Anton for breakfast. While they were eating, Anton asked the elf about his request for the nature spellbooks. Enoril told him that several spellbooks were already being prepared to be sold to him and would be presented to him either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Enoril also told him that his being young was a huge advantage for Anton, since most of the powerful elven wizards were actually treating him as a youngster, much like the brainless young forest elves that gravitated to him whenever he was around. That meant that the wizards would probably give him the spellbooks he wanted without any fuss.
Speaking of brainless teenagers, some of them appeared and joined Anton and Enoril.
“Why are you here? I thought you would all be busy with your movie-making?” Anton asked the young elves.
“Sindarius is still writing the script,” One of the young elves said.
After breakfast, they were about to go somewhere to hang out when Mendrolil arrived.
“Anton, your summons disappeared yesterday,” The eleven captain said.
Anton had forgotten about that. When he portaled back into the Rose Manor, he forgot that he would be far enough that his summons would be dispelled. Thankfully, Mendrolil told him that all of the ravens and three of the spirit wolves had already died from the practice battles the forest elves had conducted.
This time, Mendrolil requested more powerful summons, so Anton simply summoned the Spirit Wolves again, but this time, he added six Dire Wolves, his Clay Golem, and his Dire Bear, and commanded his summons to follow and obey the elven captain. Anton and Enoril could see the elven captain's delight regarding the powerful summons that Anton gave the captain. The elves could feel the power of the Dire Wolves, the Clay Golem, and the Dire Bear, and he knew that the powerful elven wizards and warriors would also have their moment, not just the recruits.
Mendrolil rushed off immediately towards the arena with Anton’s summons accompanying him.
“That bear is so huge!” Enoril exclaimed.
“I know. I usually use it as a mount whenever I do my dungeon gold runs,” Anton said to the elf.
“What’s a dungeon gold run?” Enoril asked.
“Whenever I want gold, I would delve into the lower floors of a high-level dungeon like the 30th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta. I would erect a small tent on top of my Dire Bear, rest inside it while all of my summons kill the dungeon monsters and collect all the mana stones and other drops,” Anton replied.
Enoril gasped when the elf heard what Anton had said and exclaimed that he could earn thousands of gold coins doing that. Anton just smiled and told Enoril that was how he managed to purchase a manor inside Ormunda.
