Chapter 684

Dinner was noisy, and Anton enjoyed talking to the members of his family sans his father, since Anders was still inside the dungeon with his team. He could see that Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar had immediately adapted to the family, which Anton knew they would, since the four young men were extroverted and could easily befriend anyone.

He also observed that Luna had a crush on Kirk. It was understandable. Luna was a beautiful sixteen-year-old young lady, and Kirk was a handsome, tall, blonde young man of nineteen years of age. Anton wondered why Luna chose Kirk. Mesono, Abdul, and Omar were all nice-looking and were all young. More than likely, it was because Kirk had the most confidence and was the unspoken leader of the four of them.

Unfortunately for young Luna, even though she was extremely pretty, it appeared that the four young men’s focus was not on girls, but on magic. The discussion over dinner between the four guys consisted purely of magical theories and which spells they planned to memorize next.

It would probably be a while before Kirk and the others' excitement about becoming mages settled down. That was when they would turn their attention to other things, like girls. It was a good thing because Anton felt that Luna and the four guys were still too young to have some kind of relationships with the opposite sex.

If Luna was still interested by then and Kirk or the other three expressed interest in her, Anton would not stop them. Anders probably would not as well because, first, their family is not really noble, and that meant that their sensibilities when it came to having family were still firmly rooted with the common people. Second, just like Anton, his father would probably realize that tying Kirk or the other three to the family through Luna would strengthen their loyalty to the family.

Of course, if after a couple of years, Luna’s interest waned or did not shift from Kirk to the other three, Anton would just let it be. Anton only hoped that Luna and Alfred would be happy. That was the last gift he could give to Selena, who would have become one of his stepmothers if she had survived.

Luna and Alfred talked about the films and television shows they had watched. They also talked about their friends and that the core of their friendships was based on otaku things, which made Anton laugh internally.

Romina, Bruce, and Sarah talked about the manor’s businesses. Anton could see that they were excited about the family’s businesses based on the energy they were exuding. It appeared that they were not treating the things they were doing for the family as something to be done, but something that they truly liked or even loved. Again, if their interest disappeared, Anton would not force any of them and would just let them do whatever they wanted. Still, Anton was truly surprised at how profitable the manor’s three businesses were. They were even considering a fourth business based on the grains that were coming out of the small field between the garden and the fruit orchard.

Everyone was surprised at how much grain that small bit of land produced, considering that the land was tiny. Everyone assumed that the grain field would only supplement the needs of the manor, but was surprised that it not only covered all of the family’s needs but was able to produce more than the warehouse assigned to collect the grain was starting to overflow.

The exciting part was that every product produced by the land that was always covered by mana water was each one of them, from flowers to fruits, and now the grains were filled with mana. Because of that, the benefits of the products from the mana-soaked field were tremendous. From their longevity, the smell, and even the health of the people who consumed them.

At first, when this information was reported to Anton by Raymond, the family butler, he was apprehensive. He thought that they might be targeted by some malicious wizards, but Raymond told him that the kind of things that the manor produced were also things that powerful Ormundan wizards could create if they bothered with such mundane things. The wizards were more than capable of doing the same things and as a matter of fact, most consumables that were produced from wizards holding were the same as the produce that was coming out from the Rose Manor. That fact settled Anton’s worries. He wondered why he kept underestimating the wizards of Ormunda and New Drennor. More than likely, it stemmed from the failure of Zalnothel, the first wizard city that they settled into, to defend itself from the Undead Coalition. The same thing happened with Mendoza.

Romina’s ambition was grand. She wanted to create some formal cooperation with businesses that was based on the movies that came out of the cinema. She wanted to host systematic events that would draw consumers' attention to the businesses.

Anton suggested a Cosplay convention every month or every three months.

“What is that? Cosplay convention?” Romina asked. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

“The word itself meant costume play or roleplay. I think Luna hosted a very minor one together with her friends. Let me show you a video of the examples of cosplay conventions.”

Anton then summoned his globe of browser sharing, pointed it at the wall, and showed the family examples of cosplay conventions. They realized what Cosplay conventions events after watching the videos.

Romina, Luna, and Alfred’s eyes sparkled. Bruce and Sarah looked interested, and the couple began discussing with each other how to create themes from the manor’s products from the movies that had already been shown in the cinema.

“I’m going to do it!” Romina declared.

“Have fun. Just don’t expect me to contribute,” Anton said while laughing.

After dinner, Anton went to his room while the others convened somewhere else to continue their discussion about Cosplay Conventions. Luna accompanied them. Unfortunately for Alfred, he was told that it was time for him to sleep since he was still young and growing.

Kirk, Mesono, Abdul, and Omar looked mildly interested, but for now, their world was consumed by magic, so they also returned to their rooms to continue memorizing and casting their spells.

When Anton reached his room, Raymond followed him. The butler then informed him of the process for how to formally receive the title of Supreme Wizard. Raymond told him that the only organizations that could do something like that were magic academies and that they would be the ones informing him of the details that needed to be done. Their family was already attached to one, which was Anna’s school.

Anton sighed. He decided to visit Anna the next day so he could talk to her school to check if they could help him get the formal title. If not, Anton would not force it and would continue living as an unconfirmed Supreme Wizard until he reached the Invincible Rank. At least with that rank, there were no such things as being confirmed or unconfirmed. Once you’ve reached that rank, you’re an Invincible Wizard wherever you go, together with all the benefits one could get for reaching that kind of status.

Once he reached that decision, Anton continued watching Diablo Immortal gameplay when Raymond left. He was still extremely excited about the upcoming update, and if he was being honest, he was excited not because the update would increase his power but because it was a new game he could play. For the next several hours, he continued watching gameplays, researching game guides, and game items.
