My Dragon King System-Chapter 290: Against The Demon King Pt.1
The portal opened up within Rhyos’s temple, and one by one they stepped through into Eden.
Aiden emerged first, with his red eyes sweeping across the chamber as the others followed behind him.
The moment they crossed the threshold, they saw the destruction in Rhyos’ temple.
Adam’s golden eyes narrowed as he took in the scene.
"What in the hell happened here?" he said.
No one answered immediately, but the evidence spoke for itself. A battle had taken place in this temple, and Adam realized that this was probably why the gateway god wasn’t answering to his call.
Syqora turned toward the group, and said "We all have our roles, Let’s put an end to this."
Frankly, he was unconcerned about the destruction of the temple, only the task at hand mattered.
And everyone nodded. There was no need for further words as they understood what was at stake.
In that moment, Aiden raised his hand to cast a certain authority skill. He didn’t speak nor gesture but mana flowed from him in a subtle wave, spreading outward in every direction.
The air itself seemed to shift, as though reality had been adjusted in some imperceptible way.
Syqora’s head turned sharply toward Aiden.
"What was that?" he asked.
Aiden smiled a bit and said, "I’m only taking extra measures," offering no further explanation.
He met Syqora’s gaze for a brief moment, then said, "Let’s go."
Without waiting for a response, Aiden lifted off the ground and flew upward. The others followed immediately, and one by one, they ascended through the temple’s ceiling and into the sky of Eden.
The moment they crossed the threshold into open air, the dragons began to change, and grow into their massive true forms while roaring outwards as they made their way toward the upper layers of Eden.
———
Meanwhile, in the grand hall where the wedding ceremony was about to begin, Lilith was standing at the altar.
She wore a flowing white gown that glowed like starlight, and her dark hair was adorned with delicate golden ornaments.
Her face glowed with excitement as though she had always wished this.
Her eyes were fixed on Samael, who stood across from her in ceremonial robes. He looked every bit the part of a groom, dressed in white and gold, with a sash crossing his chest.
But his attention was not on her.
His gaze swept across the grand hall, taking in the rows upon rows of gods seated in attendance. Archons, High Gods, and lesser deities had gathered to witness this union.
A devious smile tugged at his lips.
This was precisely what he had wanted. All of them, gathered in one place.
Suddenly, the air around them shifted. Every god in the hall felt it at once.
The presence of the beings that had just entered Eden.
Four dragons and the All-Father.
The gods stood from their seats at once, with murmurs spreading through the hall as they began moving toward the exits.
Lilith’s eyes widened in shock.
"How?!" she whispered, in a trembling voice.
She hadn’t expected this. Not Adam nor the dragons, and especially not now.
Samael’s expression darkened. His devious smile vanished, replaced by a deep frown.
He knew he would have to deal with the dragons eventually. But this sudden arrival was a direct sabotage of everything he had planned.
Morrigan stepped forward from where she had been standing near the altar.
"My Lord, How shall we proceed?" She said in a calm yet urgent tone.
Samael stretched his right hand to the side and in an instant, the Longinus materialized in his grip.
He turned toward Morrigan and said "No one is going to ruin my plans," he said in a furious voice. "Least of all not those fucking lizards."
Without another word, he stepped down from the altar and began walking toward the exit, and the demon lords followed behind him immediately
Lilith stood frozen for a moment, staring at Samael’s back as he walked away without so much as a glance in her direction.
Her shock turned into anger.
She had been waiting on wedding, and now her ex-husband and those cursed dragons had arrived to ruin it all.
And worse, Samael hadn’t even acknowledged her. She clenched her fists as red energy began swirling around her body.
Instead of following Samael, Lilith lifted off the ground. She flew upward toward the ceiling, and a red blob of energy shot forward from her outstretched palm, smashing through the roof of the grand hall.
She burst through the opening and into the open sky, flying toward the approaching figures.
Asahel, who had been standing silently near the altar, immediately took flight as well, following his mother into the air.
———
As Aiden and the others flew toward the upper layers of Eden, two avatars materialized beside him mid-flight.
They appeared in humanoid forms, identical to Aiden in every way. But there was a difference now, a clearer distinction in power between the original and his copies.
The avatars were strong. Immensely so, atleast above the Dragon Heir level, But they no longer matched the Dragon King himself.
There could only be one who held such power in full.
Syqora turned toward Aiden mid-flight.
"Remember that portal will require a lot of energy," he said.
Aiden nodded. "I know."
The avatars he made were to serve as extra hands for a few reasons.
Not long after, the dragons and gods arrived before Samael and his demon lords.
The surrounding gods had gathered as well, hovering at a distance, uncertain of what was unfolding.
The dragons landed on the ground side by side, with their massive forms radiating power.
Aiden’s avatars and the Archons, Umgadi, Gaia, Thera, and Orion—floated in the air beside them.
Adam hovered above the Archons, positioning himself so his eyes met Lilith’s who glared at him with fury.
Samael stood before them all, with the Longinus gripped firmly in his right hand. The demon lords stood behind him, ready.
A smile tugged at Samael’s lips.
"Was sparing you creatures some time not kind of me?" he said mockingly. "Why do you all have to rush so suddenly to your demise?"
As he spoke, his gaze landed on the black dragon, Aiden.
Inwardly, Samael’s thoughts whispered, "I can sense from him the full strength of four dragons."
His smile widened.
"Interesting," he murmured to himself. Now he understood why his generals could not defeat him.
Syqora replied him, "Your time in this world is at an end."
Adam immediately followed up, "Likewise yours, Lilith!" Then he swept across the gathered gods.
"I urge every one of you to do nothing in aid of this woman," he declared.
Lilith’s red eyes blazed. "This time I’ll make you suffer an even worse fate than mere slumber," she said coldly.
Adam smiled in a way that taunted her, then flew further away from the area.
Lilith followed without hesitation. They were going to settle their conflict again, and this time Lilith knew she had the ace.
The Holy Grail.
Asahel moved to follow behind Lilith, but one of Aiden’s avatars acted instantly.
It raised its hand and used the spatial skill Relocation.
This made space distort around Asahel, and in an instant, he was forcefully moved backward, far from the battlefield.
"That is none of your business this time," the avatar said.
