My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 26: Aura block
Chapter 26: Aura block
It took a while for Eri to finally come through. Quite frankly, Rashin thought the same.
Not because he wasn't enjoying the soft feel of Eri's lady cannons pressing on his chest, but because the system awaited.
[You have killed a Hakia.]
[You have gained three rewards.]
[1) A random loot box.
2. A new skill.
3. Four soul stones.]
They looked too good to ignore, not when Rashin realized how tough the Hakias were.
If he was going to have any chance against them, he needed to grow even stronger—far more than what he currently was.
With his fingers gently gripping Eri's arm, he whispered softly to avoid making her uncomfortable.
"Are you feeling okay now?"
Though Eri was still shivering, she managed to give a slight nod with her head. A smile formed on Rashin's face as he gently sat her up.
She sat down on the ground, arms between her thighs as she looked at Rashin.
"What about you? You took on three Hakias on your own. I'd like to think you're at least exhausted."
Exhausted? Ever since he arrived in the new world, Rashin could have sworn he had never had any issues with his fatigue.
"I don't think I am."
Eri stared at him for a while. Not the kind of look that would be acceptable during a discussion, but still, it was a look regardless.
"Honestly, sometimes I wonder if I summoned a demon from another world rather than a human being."
"Demons aren't all that bad, I assume," Rashin said, standing to his feet.
"Well, they did once try to destroy the entire human species. If you leave that out, then yeah, I guess you can say that."
She was being sarcastic—not that she ever tried to hide it.
"Ah, I see."
The words of a man who no longer had any interest in said conversation.
Slowly, Rashin began to walk away.
"Uhn? Where are you going?" asked Eri as she turned her head in his direction.
"I just need to take care of something over here, no need to worry."
Just as he said, he indeed had business with something—the body of the Hakia that was rotting on the hill.
With a single jump, Rashin landed in front of the dead Hakia. Seeing it up close, the Hakia had turned into something transparent.
Not exactly something one would see every day.
According to what Eri told him, every time they killed a Hakia, they were to hang it on a pole with a writing that said, "Hakia walk amongst us."
Her way of trying to warn the public.
So before she got to spread the Hakia on display, Rashin wanted to confirm something.
While he was fighting the Hakia, and the monster held him by the neck, Rashin could have sworn his white cell aura went stagnant and stopped flowing inside his body.
He had tried to contaminate the Hakia's fire arm with the white cell aura, but as long as the Hakia held his neck, he could not release the energy.
He needed to know why.
About to grab the Hakia's hand, the unexpected happened.
"Arrhhh—"
The Hakia tried to speak, his words cutting short inside him. While he could utter words, his eyes showed everything he wanted to express.
Pure, utter rage.
Rashin did not care.

"Appraisal," he said out loud, his eyes taking on a dim glow.
[Name: Unknown.
Race: Hakia (Fallen One).
Rank: C-rank.]
'That's all? I need to know how my aura was able to be blocked.'
[The white cell aura cannot be blocked.]
'It was, right before I killed it.'
[The white cell aura cannot be blocked.]
Rashin could only stare at the notification in confusion. If the system had a bug, it would be a good time for it to announce it.
Sighing, Rashin scratched the back of his head.
"I don't get it. I was sure my aura got blocked."
Well, standing around thinking about it wasn't going to help his case.
If anything, he was grateful. Using Appraisal on the dead body allowed him to understand one thing—the Hakias had ranks, just like humans.
By metrics, that should mean the C-rank was nothing but average.
"I've been facing bot lobbies," Rashin said aloud, a look of disappointment playing on his face.
Turning his head down, he noticed Eri was trying to climb out of the pit, probably because she had been calling out to him for a while and he didn't hear her.
'She can be persistent, but I have things to take care of first.'
Rashin stretched his hand forward. "Come, Daki."
Immediately, the white form shattered like glass, while Daki stood before him.
'I saw soul stones in the system's reward. That means I should be able to upgrade her with them.'
He gently patted her on the head. Actually, from the very beginning, Rashin had always seen her like a little sister—something he developed a liking for in his former time.
Now facing the system, he began to pick the rewards he got from it.
"Number 3," he said as he tapped the template with his finger.
[Congratulations, you have gained four soul stones.]
Wasting no time, Rashin issued an upgrade to the system.
"Upgrade Daki," he said out loud.
[Request confirmed.]
[Upgrading Daki, the Balsamic Armor, from Bronze Soul Rank to Silver Rank requires three soul stones.]
'That cheap?'
He had expected it to take at least one soul stone higher than the previous rank. If that was the case, then there was no reason for him to hold back.
If Gold Rank was where most of the weapons he would forge gained a personality and the ability to speak, then it was definitely going to be worth it.
"Okay, what if I wish to rank her from Silver to Gold?" he asked.
[That would cost an additional three soul stones, making it a total of six soul stones.]
'Adding the four soul stones I just got from the system, I have another two. This should work...'
Rashin smiled a bit. The feeling of knowing you'd get something good from an investment was indescribable.
"Alright then, upgrade her to Gold Rank."
[Request confirmed.]
