My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 25: I promised.
Chapter 25: I promised.
"Die, you fucking human!"
The fire Hakia yelled, his fire covering every inch of his body as he raced toward Rashin.
Rashin took a powerful stance, his hair dancing in the wind as he awaited the monster.
"Urrrghhhh!"
The Hakia clashed with Rashin, causing a small boom with flames roaring from within.
Instantly, Rashin leaped out of the dust. In front of him, the fire Hakia still chased.
"Get back here!"
The Hakia began throwing small fireballs at Rashin, each one locked onto its target.
Rashin could not dodge them.
Taking a sudden stop, Rashin opened his mouth, arms folded, as he let out a powerful scream.
But it wasn't just any scream.
[Fire Breath.]
Blue flames rushed out from his mouth, completely devouring the small flames the fire-headed Hakia had been throwing.
Once the flames were destroyed, Rashin summoned his dagger, ready to go on the offensive.

Or so he thought.
From nowhere, the fire-headed Hakia grabbed Rashin by the throat, his grip so tight that Rashin began to choke.
"Ahhh, gotcha," the monster said with a sinister smile. "And to think, I didn't need the Red Moon to defeat you. Now that I have you here, you will answer my questions."
Rashin tried to grab the Hakia's hand, but he could not—every other part of the monster's body had been transformed into flames.
"Did you just try to grab me? That would be like trying to hold water. You're not the smartest in the bunch, are you? Now, first question: that strange energy you emit whenever you please... where did you get it from?" the Hakia asked.
From the top of the hole, Eri, who had been watching, shouted—
"What the hell are you doing, Rashin? That monster is trying to kill you! Stop underestimating it!"
'Monster?'
The fire-headed Hakia did not like being called that. In fact, no Hakia ever liked being called a monster.
Rashin gently looked up to get a better view of Eri.
"Priestess, what are you still doing here?" he managed to say.
"Saving your dumbass, of course! Why are you letting that monster put his hands on you? Kill it already!"
'It?'
The flames on the Hakia's head increased, showing how angered he was from hearing a woman call him "it."
He pushed Rashin to the side so he could get a good look at the woman who had been insulting him.
"You freaking brat! Where do you get off calling me 'it'?! Do you have a death sentence?" the fire-headed Hakia yelled.
At first, Eri was shocked that the monster would even pay attention to her, but once she got over that, she continued—
"You're a monster, which means calling you 'it' is valid!"
"You fuckin'... Now, where do you get off calling people 'it'? Manners aren't in the books for humans?"
"Brains aren't in the books for Hakias? You go around killing innocent people, and somehow you expect some kind of respect? Fuck you!" Eri yelled back.
Rashin was a bit surprised—he was sure he had just heard his Priestess curse.
She probably wanted to anger the Hakia because it was definitely working.
"I'll kill you," the Hakia said in a low tone.
"Uhn? What was that?! Speak up!"
"I'll fuckin' kill you!"
Raging, the fire-headed Hakia tossed Rashin to the side and took a giant leap up, heading straight for Eri.
'It's actually coming here?!' Eri panicked.
Looking at the ground, she could see Rashin was still struggling to stand.
Regardless, being with Rashin was better than being by herself.
Thus, she made a dangerous choice.
Just as the Hakia was heading upward toward her, Eri jumped down, falling straight toward Rashin.
"What the—?"
The fire-headed Hakia sneered, watching as Eri sped past him while screaming her lungs out.
As she fell, she shouted,
"Ahh, don't let me die! Don't let me die!" while flapping her hands in the air, mimicking a bird.
Thankfully, Rashin had come to.
Using the power of his armor, he leaped up, grabbing Eri as his body soared into the sky.
Eri, on the other hand, had both her arms and legs wrapped around Rashin from the front.
She could barely open her eyes.
"Are you alright?" Rashin asked.
Eri nodded.
"Then I'm glad," he smiled gently. "I need to do something, but I need you to trust me."
Eri opened her eyes, the wind blowing against her face since they were still in the air.
"W...what is that?" she asked.
"I'll drop you, but I promise to catch you back."
This made Eri's heart skip a beat, her entire face turning blue just from hearing Rashin's words.
"Uhn-uhn, no way! I refuse! Don't drop me, I can just—"
"I have to do this quick before the Hakia gets closer. I promise I'll catch you."
Before Eri could think of a response, Rashin released his hold on her, her screams practically echoing throughout the whole place.
The moment he let go, Rashin held up his bow and arrow, aiming at the Hakia who was just landing on the ground, ready to take another leap.
A small scope appeared in front of Rashin's left eye, allowing him to get a precise aim at the monster.
"Go," he said.
The arrow was shot, speeding toward the monster with white cell aura covering its very essence.
Just as the monster was about to leave the ground, the arrow pierced his chest, leaving a huge hole in both his body and the ground behind him.
'Eh?'
The fire-headed Hakia slowly looked to the sky, spotting Rashin falling.
'You sneaky brat.'
He collapsed to the ground, his body turning into solid dark streaks from the inside out.
Meanwhile, Rashin was falling, trying to catch Eri before she hit the ground.
Once he reached her, he grabbed her by the hand, pulling her close so she could hug him before they landed on the ground with a powerful thud.
His butt touched the ground, before his back, and still, Eri held on, not once did she let go.
"We are safe now." Rashin said.
Eri was still shaking in fear.
Slowly, Rashin patted her head, and uttered -
"I promised to catch you, didn't I?"
