My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious-Chapter 753 - 671: Picking a Fight
"Face it however you want; haven’t you always handled it well before?"
The assistant studied Hua Tiantian with a "Are you okay?" expression. In her heart, something still didn’t sit right. She always felt Huang Shan liked stirring up trouble, and she still hadn’t faced the accusations head-on even now. Who knows what she’s thinking.
"Forget it, I shouldn’t meddle in other people’s business."
Hua Tiantian looked at the halfway-shooting schedule, and she had a general sense of things. Finally, she picked up the script and reviewed it thoroughly again, reinforcing her lines and the dialogue for her scenes with her co-stars.
"If I were her, I wouldn’t even bother showing up."
"Totally. I think she doesn’t care at all. She’s got nerves of steel."
Huang Shan pretended not to hear the murmurs around her, unwilling to listen to any more words that worked against her. Deep down, she understood better than anyone that if she cared too much, she’d lose the mood for filming entirely.
"Morning. Morning, everyone."
With a bright smile, Hua Tiantian greeted each staff member. Hearing her voice, Huang Shan’s mind began to churn with thoughts, and she let out a cold laugh as she sat down in her chair.
"Hua Tiantian, Huang Shan, first scene of the showdown. Get ready."
When the director’s voice rang out, Hua Tiantian was the first to head over. Soon after, Huang Shan followed with a weary face. She had deliberately asked the makeup artist to apply extra foundation, fearing others might notice her exhaustion.
"I’m so sorry, I stepped on your foot."
With a calculated look in her eyes, Huang Shan deliberately glared at Hua Tiantian. Retracting her foot slowly, she watched Hua Tiantian wince in pain, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction in her heart.
"You... forget it."
Hua Tiantian knew Huang Shan was in a bad mood, and her complexion looked awful—overall, she didn’t seem herself. So, she said, "If it wasn’t intentional, then it’s fine."
"What if I did it on purpose? What would you do then?"
The words struck Hua Tiantian dumbfounded. She had no idea what had come over Huang Shan, who seemed troubled and preoccupied. She asked cautiously, "Are you okay?"
"I’m perfectly fine. What could possibly be wrong with me?"
Feigning indifference, Huang Shan displayed a faint smile.
Hua Tiantian looked at her pale complexion and doubted she was truly fine. Her suspicions grew further. She replied, "If that’s the case, then that’s good. I’ll head over first." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Her smile faded into something barely perceptible and tinged with irritation. Her gaze carried a trace of determination. Huang Shan exchanged a meaningful look with her assistant, gaining clarity in her heart that you could only rely on yourself to achieve what you want—it was an eternal truth.
"Don’t worry, Sister Shan. I just got a call from that guy. He’s hired a whole army of paid commenters. Rest assured."
"This time, it has to be quicker and more ruthless than last time. Catch her completely off guard. Make sure she doesn’t get even the slightest chance to turn the tables. And, this absolutely cannot be known by Li Li."
Huang Shan couldn’t shake her concerns about Li Li, especially the fear that he’d find out and put a complete halt to her career. Things were already strained with Li Li, and the more things piled up, the worse it got. She had promised him she wouldn’t provoke Hua Tiantian anymore, but if he discovered her covert scheming, he wouldn’t let it slide easily.
"Don’t worry, Sister Shan. I know exactly what to say and what not to say."
Though her heart felt heavy, the news from the assistant sparked a glimmer of hope for Huang Shan. She became increasingly aware of one thing: when Huang Shan set her mind on something, nothing—not even eight horses—could drag her back. All she could do now was pray to Heaven for protection.
