Chapter 479: Feng Xiyan, You Are Amazing!

Seeing Bai Hanyun sitting in a daze while the servants lit up the candles, Feng Xiyan’s gaze softened.

"Yun’er," he called gently as he stepped into the dining room.

Hearing his voice, Bai Hanyun looked up. When she saw Feng Xiyan’s smiling face, she stood and walked toward him.

"Feng Xiyan, you are back," she said, taking his hand and leading him to the dining table.

Sitting beside her, Feng Xiyan glanced at the food and smiled. "Tonight’s dishes are all my favorites."

Bai Hanyun nodded and explained, "I noticed you didn’t eat much at lunch. I thought the food might not suit your taste, so I asked the chefs to prepare what you like. You should eat more."

Warmth spread through Feng Xiyan’s chest when he heard her words filled with concern. His hands clenched beneath the table as he softly whispered, "Yun’er, thank you."

Smiling at him, Bai Hanyun picked up a dish for Feng Xiyan and urged, "Quickly eat before the food turns cold."

"Mhm." Feng Xiyan smiled, then obediently picked up his chopsticks.

As the night deepened, the two of them ate while sharing what they had done and what had happened that day.

After dinner, Feng Xiyan filled their teacups and said, "Yun’er, I have a favor to ask you."

Remembering the rumors she had heard earlier from the servants’ conversations, Bai Hanyun asked, "Do you need more supplies because of the incoming war?"

Hearing this, Feng Xiyan replied, "Mhm. It looks like you have also heard about the war with the Jin Empire’s army."

Bai Hanyun nodded. "I have heard some rumors, but I don’t know the details. Do you want me to get more supplies to send to the Yurong Border Pass?"

"Besides military rations, we need weapons and armor more." Feng Xiyan paused for a second before continuing, "You know that thousands of refugees are coming here every day."

"These refugees are not only old, sick, or disabled, but also strong men. Most of them come from other empires and kingdoms. Thanks to them, the expansion of the Feng Army’s troops is proceeding smoothly."

"Although our weapon and armor production can keep up with the pace of recruitment, the materials are being used up very quickly."

He let out a long sigh and then asked, "Yun’er, can you help me obtain more materials so we can make more weapons, arrows, and armor? General Tan reported that the remaining materials can only last a few more days."

After listening to his explanation, Bai Hanyun tapped the table slowly with her index finger, falling into deep thought.

Seeing this, Feng Xiyan did not disturb her.

A few moments later, Bai Hanyun said, "Buying materials isn’t a problem. Since you urgently need them, I will arrange it right away. However, the earliest we can receive them would be tomorrow—assuming Boss Mu has enough stock in his warehouse."

At her answer, Feng Xiyan’s eyes lit up. He smiled and replied, "No problem. We can wait a few days."

After pausing briefly, he added, "Yun’er, I have already ordered General Tan to collect more goods for you from the abandoned manors and houses around Xiqiang City and its surrounding areas. I also contacted General Mo Yuan to gather more from Xiquan City and its surrounding areas."

The moment Bai Hanyun heard this, her eyes lit up.

’That one mansion in Xiquan City already gave me more than enough capital to open an antique store. If Feng Xiyan can help me find more, then I won’t need to worry about securing goods in the future!’

With that in mind, Bai Hanyun suddenly threw herself forward and hugged Feng Xiyan tightly.

"Ah~! Feng Xiyan, you are amazing!!"

Startled by her sudden enthusiasm, Feng Xiyan froze for a moment. When he regained his senses, Bai Hanyun had already let go and rushed out of the dining room.

"Feng Xiyan, wait for my good news!"

Left alone in the dining room, Feng Xiyan stared blankly at the doorway, then looked down at his empty arms. After a brief moment of silence, his gaze softened, and a gentle smile appeared on his lips.

Standing to the side, the servants quickly lowered their heads and pretended to be nothing more than blocks of wood.

Returning to her bedroom, Bai Hanyun quickly closed the door and rushed inside.

"Yang Mirror, come out," she said excitedly, standing in the center of the inner room.

A second after her words fell, the red mark on her wrist glowed.

However, instead of the tall, handsome man, what appeared before Bai Hanyun was a golden circle floating in the air, resembling the water mirrors often seen in fantasy dramas.

A few seconds later, when the golden circle stabilized, images appeared on its transparent surface.

Bai Hanyun took a step closer to have a look and saw the Yang Mirror sitting on the bed, leaning against the headboard, with the naked Yin Mirror in his arms.

The instant this image entered her sight, Bai Hanyun quickly covered her eyes and complained, "Ouch, my eyes! Yang Mirror, what are you doing?!"

Yawning lazily, the Yang Mirror calmly pulled the blanket to cover his wife’s naked body, then looked at Bai Hanyun’s antics through the golden circle and rolled his eyes.

"What are you pretending to? Have you forgotten that I was there when you watched those kissing and bed scenes?"

Lowering her hands, Bai Hanyun glared at him and retorted, "Those were acting and not real! You—what you are doing right now is—! Aiya! You shameless!"

She was too embarrassed to finish her words.

The Yang Mirror clicked his tongue and muttered in complaint, "Troublesome."

Although reluctant to let go of his wife, the Yang Mirror gently laid the Yin Mirror down and then got out of bed. After covering her with a soft blanket, he put on a thin layer of an inner garment and walked over to the table in the outer room.

Taking a seat, he rested his elbow on the table and supported his chin. In a lazy voice, he asked, "So, why are you looking for me?"
