Yun Xi paused, stopped in her tracks, looking at him: "And what did you say?"

Lu Xize raised an eyebrow, his lips curling up mischievously, deliberately keeping her in suspense: "That’s a secret."

"Hmph." Yun Xi scoffed, rolling her eyes, sidestepping him, continuing to walk ahead, grumbling internally but not showing it.

After confirming with the doctor that there were no other issues, when they came out of the hospital, it was already 1:40 in the morning. Outside was cold and quiet, just a few scattered people, and very few cars on the road.

"How do you plan to go back?" Yun Xi stood under the dim streetlight, glanced around at the deserted road, finding no taxis, then turned to look at him. But he was leaning casually against a pole with his hands in his pockets, not looking anxious at all.

"Of course, I’ll take a car back. You can’t expect me to walk back! It’s so far, I’d be walking until dawn." Lu Xize replied confidently, shrugging lightly.

"But it’s so late, and there are no cars, what will you take?"

"Ride-hailing, of course!" Lu Xize chuckled incredulously, "Have you been knocked silly tonight? You even need to ask about something this simple."

Yun Xi rolled her eyes at his words sarcastically: "You’re the one who’s been knocked silly. Oh, wait, you don’t even have a brain. Hmph." With that, she turned and walked away.
