Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 449: She’ll Be Your Personal Plaything
Audrey Sutton sent off the nagging Shane Warner and stood by the roadside waiting for Phoebe King.
Across the road, inside the parked black Range Rover, Clarissa Morgan was in the driver’s seat, Nolan Hawke was in the passenger seat, and both of their gazes were fixed across the window on Audrey Sutton.
Nolan Hawke, with a laid-back expression and a hint of mockery in his voice, said, "What? You want to kidnap her directly?"
Clarissa Morgan looked at the surrounding environment but didn’t speak.
Nolan Hawke: "Why not use a cleverer method? This kind of recklessness isn’t like you."
Clarissa Morgan replied irritably, "Give me a clever method then."
Nolan Hawke sneered, "Well, she’s your lifeline now, not mine. Why should I worry? If you can’t get her, there’s still you, right? Besides, Shane Warner isn’t easy to deal with; I really don’t want to provoke him."
Clarissa Morgan was full of hate but dared not say anything, swallowing her anger in front of Nolan Hawke.
She was indeed a bit anxious now, feeling surrounded and losing her composure.
Shane Warner protects Audrey Sutton closely. She usually has two bodyguards with her when she goes out. It’s impossible to arrange a meeting with Audrey Sutton alone, and if there’s a gathering, Shane Warner will be there too. She can only wait for an opportunity when the tiger is napping.
Clarissa Morgan observed for a few minutes and noticed that Audrey Sutton seemed to be without those two bodyguards today, and Shane Warner wasn’t around either. It’s school time, and there aren’t many people in and out.
But what can she do now? Except forcibly getting Audrey Sutton into the car, there doesn’t seem to be any other way.
Clarissa Morgan started the car; she couldn’t nod to Nolan here. She had to drive to the front intersection and turn back.
Seeing her start the car, Nolan Hawke smiled and said, "What? Came up with a plan?" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Clarissa Morgan gritted her teeth and swallowed saliva, "You’re strong, get out of the car later and get her into the car quickly."
Nolan Hawke was stunned for a moment, then sneered, "Clarissa Morgan, do you think I’m stupid and easy to trick? This place is full of surveillance cameras, and you want me to get out and kidnap Audrey Sutton? Do you think you can’t handle me and want Shane Warner to deal with me? Hm?"
Clarissa Morgan turned her head and glared at him, drove to the intersection, and slowly turned with the traffic flow: "Do you have any other methods? You get her into the car and can imprison her somewhere. I’ll have someone dealt with the surveillance on this road to make sure Shane Warner can’t find her whereabouts. Then she’ll just be a plaything, and you think about if this risk is worth taking."
Nolan Hawke looked at Clarissa Morgan with deep thought as if he thought her plan was good but also worried about any possible flaws. After a pause, he asked her, "Whose car is this?"
Clarissa Morgan: "It’s mine. I said I would have someone handled the surveillance, as long as there is no evidence proving Audrey Sutton got into my car and disappeared. We are safe; if you’re not comfortable and an accident happens, you can entirely say I instructed you. So my risk is much higher than yours."
Nolan Hawke looked at Audrey Sutton in the distance, who had her head down looking at her phone. He rubbed his chin slightly, pondering the tempting proposal.
Seeing Nolan Hawke still hadn’t replied, Clarissa Morgan slowed the car slightly and urged, "Hurry up, we are close now, and it’s clear she’s waiting for someone. Once they arrive, it won’t be easy to get such a chance again later."
As they got closer to Audrey Sutton, she kept glancing in the direction of the traffic, awaiting Phoebe King’s arrival.
A few seconds later, Nolan Hawke finally nodded and gave Clarissa Morgan a definite answer, saying, "Alright, I’ll do it, but if you dare to play tricks, I guarantee you’ll suffer more than I will."
Clarissa Morgan smiled satisfactorily and slightly increased the speed, saying, "If I wanted to die, would I wait until now? Rest assured, I’ll handle things properly for the benefit of both of us."
As Clarissa Morgan was talking, she didn’t notice a flash of green swiftly overtaking her car.
As they were about to approach Audrey Sutton, both Clarissa Morgan and Nolan Hawke seemed a bit tense, with Nolan Hawke seemingly ready to get out and quickly pull Audrey Sutton into the car without giving her any chance to call for help.
Ten meters, five meters, three meters...
The seconds felt long and agonizing as they were ready to approach the roadside when suddenly a green Bentley stopped beside Audrey Sutton.
Audrey Sutton bent down, said something to the person inside, then opened the door and jumped into the car, which slowly started and continued to drive on the road ahead.
Clarissa Morgan frustratingly slapped the steering wheel, causing the horn to sound a little. She took a deep breath, slightly blaming, "It’s because you hesitated."
Nolan Hawke seemed relieved instead and laughed, saying, "It’s okay, this plan is still viable, but today, we’re unprepared. We can go back, discuss properly, and devise a more detailed plan. It’s never too late to act afterward. Escaping once doesn’t mean she’ll always be this lucky."
In the car, Phoebe King was complaining to Audrey Sutton, "Your husband is really something. You’re not a three-year-old kid, yet he still worries so much."
Audrey Sutton laughed and said, "That’s just how he is. Besides his own affairs, he doesn’t trust anything else, always thinking I’ll be lured away with a lollipop."
Phoebe King sighed along, "Actually, this is pretty nice. I wish your brother would care about me like that."
Audrey Sutton: "If he really cares about you like that, you’d find it annoying. Every day, he nags and says the same things repeatedly. I’m hoping to quickly have a kid, so he can nag the child."
Phoebe King: "By the way, have you guys gone to the hospital for a check-up? It’s been so long without conceiving, I really think one of you might have a problem."
Audrey Sutton dryly laughed, saying, "We checked. No issues. It’s probably just... picking the wrong timing."
Phoebe King: "If you truly want a child, you need to calculate the dates properly. If you don’t understand, fine, but doesn’t Shane understand by now, being almost thirty?"
Audrey Sutton just smiled, evaded with a response, "He... probably doesn’t have much in his head for these things," then changed the topic and asked Phoebe King, "Where should we go shopping?"
Phoebe King: "Didn’t you say you wanted to buy a birthday gift for Shane? Let’s go to Elkshire Street first. They have more men’s items there. I also want to buy your brother something. What does he like?"
Audrey Sutton was momentarily stunned, awkwardly chuckling, "...That I really don’t know. I always ask for what I want. As for him... seems like he doesn’t have anything he particularly likes. Shane Warner is quite the same. But speaking seriously, whatever we buy them, they should just pretend to like it, whether they actually do or not."
