Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Watch

A duck must not ruin Seraphina’s grand plan!

Ethan Sterling looked at the bank card and laughed, "You’re giving me money to leave her?"

What a funny joke this is.

He was always the one spending money to drown others, never thought there’d be a day when someone would slap a bank card in front of him.

Beatrice Fawcett stood to the side, glancing curiously at Ethan Sterling a few times, thinking his voice seemed somewhat familiar.

But she couldn’t remember where she had heard it before.

Perhaps most pleasant voices just sound similar.

"Yeah, you’re sticking around Seraphina just to make money, right? Just name your price, let’s be frank about it."

Ronan Yates slapped the table, his face full of aggression.

But for some reason, no matter how Ronan acted fierce, Beatrice always felt that the simple presence of this man with a hidden face had a sovereign aura that Ronan couldn’t match.

Hearing this, Ethan Sterling lazily took off the diamond watch on his wrist and tossed it in front of Ronan, saying casually, "This is from her, you pay for it first."

"A gift from Seraphina?"

Ronan was shocked, inspecting it closely with his phone: "How much is it worth?"

Ethan Sterling didn’t speak.

"If you won’t tell me, I’ll check myself. I’m worried you might swindle me."

Ronan snorted disdainfully, examining the watch for a long time. Beatrice leaned in for a look, pointing at an English logo: "This is the logo, right?"

The logo seemed quite familiar.

Suddenly, Ronan was taken aback, recalling news that mentioned this as the world’s most expensive watch brand, requiring a 2 million membership just to buy a basic model, and such types of watches required purchasing numerous regular and collectible models to obtain better ones.

No way...

Ronan skeptically glanced at Ethan Sterling, searching the watch on his phone.

When he saw it, he was astounded; the watch was full of real diamonds, not only custom-made but limited edition.

The number was fifty million.

"Smack!"

Upon seeing the watch’s details, Ronan accidentally dropped it in shock, almost jumping in fear.

Beatrice’s face changed, speaking tremblingly: "How could Seraphina spend so much to keep a..."

Ronan wanted to doubt the watch was a fake, but being a forgery expert himself, he could tell at a glance it was genuine, with every diamond being real.

Fifty million...

Damn, how many years of hard work would it take for him to afford it?

Ronan’s expression turned awkward, retrieving the bank card worth merely thirty thousand and wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

Seeing Ronan’s reaction, Ethan Sterling smirked coldly, "Weren’t you going to pay me to leave? Why aren’t you offering now?"

Ronan felt even worse, responding angrily, "What’s with your arrogance? This watch might be nice, but it’s Seraphina who bought it for you. What gives you a duck such confidence?"

Just how formidable Seraphina was, how could she be so bewitched into spending such money on this duck?

Wait, how does Seraphina have so much money?

Could it be that the sponsorships Seraphina secured were all spent on this duck? Isn’t that embezzlement and corruption?

Ronan’s mind was in chaos until he noticed the conference room’s atmosphere getting heavier, with Beatrice persistently poking him.

He looked at her doubtfully as Beatrice stared at Ethan Sterling, eyes fearful.

Ronan, perplexed, turned to look and froze.

Ethan Sterling sat there, face obscured, yet exuded a presence unmatched by everyone combined.

Ronan’s breathing suddenly quieted.

The man before him raised his head, revealing sharp eyebrows and eyes, casting his gaze on Ronan’s outstretched hand.

Wanting to see his lowered gaze, Ronan heard his dark voice, "What do you think I am?"

Every word seemed as if it’s drenched in blood.

Seraphina Redgrave walked out of the restroom, heading to the conference room, drying her hands with a tissue.

Suddenly, she heard a sharp scream.

"Ah!!!!"

It was Ronan.

Seraphina’s eyes widened in surprise, immediately heading to open the conference room door.

The door was locked from the inside.

Just as she was about to knock, the door opened from inside, with Beatrice opening it, looking fearfully at Seraphina, mouth agape but at a loss for words.

Seraphina entered the room, seeing Ethan Sterling seated, slowly retracting his hand from Ronan’s.

Ronan’s face was pale, and his outstretched fingers were clearly broken.

"Damn! You’re sick! It hurts..."

Ronan yelled out in pain.

"What happened?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Seraphina walked over with a stern face.

"Seraphina, he bullied me."

Ronan almost jumped from the pain.

Help him get revenge.

Ethan Sterling sat there, flexing his fingers and spoke coldly, "The last person who pointed at me died years ago."

Beatrice’s lips were pale, unsure if it was an illusion; she felt this man’s brazenness was natural.

Who on earth is he?

Seraphina understood what transpired, frowning a little and looking around to retort: "Take Ronan to the hospital first, I’ll send the medical expenses later."

Hearing this, Ronan endured the pain and looked at Seraphina, "Seraphina, don’t be with him, he’s so violent, what if he abuses you later?"

"You’re hurt this badly yet still spouting nonsense, let’s go to the hospital!"

Beatrice noticed that Seraphina had no intention of blaming the man, trying to pull Ronan away.

Ronan, in pain and discomfort, was dragged to the door, still whining, "Seraphina, you can’t do this, listen to me, I’m on your side!"

Beatrice promptly closed the door.

The conference room returned to silence.

Seraphina stood there, massaging her temples, looking at Ethan Sterling, "Ronan may be rash, but he’s actually a good person."

Ethan Sterling took off his cap and tossed it aside, glancing at Seraphina, "Are you sure you want to talk about that man in front of me?"

Filled with murderous intent.

Seraphina looked at Ethan Sterling helplessly, "Even if he wasn’t that respectful to you, you didn’t need to break his hand."

"He called me a duck."

Ethan Sterling removed his mask.

"Cough, cough..."

Seraphina choked.

What was Ronan thinking, not understanding the context, had she known he was saying such things, she’d have broken one of his hands too.

Ethan Sterling sat there, gazing deeply at the watch on the table, "President Redgrave, how do you describe me to your subordinates?"

A duck?

"I never said that, they just guessed blindly." Seraphina immediately distanced herself from them, "I’ll clarify it to them next time."
