Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Certain I Wouldn’t Dare?

Very fast.

It seemed she overthought it. Even if she was driving out, people were still following her.

"Mm."

Seraphina nodded.

"Let’s go home."

This damn place was too hot.

Ethan Sterling didn’t want to stay any longer. He turned to leave, only to find that the person behind him didn’t follow.

He reached out to grab Seraphina’s hand, but she wouldn’t budge, and he immediately felt a surge of anger.

He lowered his eyes to look at Seraphina, his amber eyes under the brim of his cap staring at her, devoid of any emotion: "So, are you waiting for me to blow this place up before you’ll leave with me?"

"I still have a meeting. Give me... an hour."

Seraphina leaned against the wall, looking at Ethan, her eyes clear and distinct.

"No."

Ethan rejected her again.

Seraphina stopped speaking, just fixedly looking at him, neither avoiding nor evading.

"Are you going against my wishes?"

Ethan was even more displeased, standing there coldly looking at Seraphina.

Seraphina stared straight at Ethan.

She had come this far; she wouldn’t settle for going back without attending the meeting.

The two stood there, locked in a standoff.

Ethan stared at Seraphina, his gaze growing deeper, seemingly ready to explode at any moment.

Seraphina’s expression remained calm, showing no sign of backing down.

This was indeed a showdown with him.

No one had ever dared to defy him before.

Ethan suddenly laughed, yet his eyes were void of emotion: "Seraphina, do you believe that I could kick down the door right now and let your society members see who I am? Do you think they would still consider you just an ordinary student without any background?"

Being with Ethan Sterling, how could she be an ordinary student? Everything she had done before would become bubbles.

Seraphina didn’t speak, still looking at him as if she didn’t care at all.

Indeed stubborn.

Ethan lifted his foot, preparing to kick the door.

Seraphina stood there without moving.

Ethan’s leg awkwardly froze in mid-air.

"Damn!"

Ethan cursed, withdrew his leg, pushed Seraphina, and then leaned in close to her, his amber eyes filled with anger, and spoke in a low voice: "Seraphina, are you sure I’m not going to dare?"

His voice sounded as if he was ready to kill.

Seeing him retract his leg, Seraphina realized that perhaps she had anticipated this outcome all along.

She looked into Ethan’s amber eyes, feeling a warmth pass through her heart.

Her current demeanor made Ethan even more irritated: "I’m telling you, don’t think that just because I’m indulging you now, I’ll indulge you forever. Behave and listen to me, and stop testing my limits."

Upon hearing this, Seraphina didn’t know what came over her, but she burst into laughter.

"So you won’t indulge me anymore?"

She looked at Ethan with eyes full of laughter.

She also wanted to see what Ethan would actually do.

"Seraphina!"

Ethan gritted his teeth as he stared at Seraphina’s bright, smiling face. Her courage seemed to grow by the minute.

"I just want to attend a meeting. What do you really want me to do?"

Seraphina inquired.

"No matter what, you’re not allowed to..."

Ethan frowned, as Seraphina suddenly stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and left a soft kiss at the corner of his lips.

It was gentle and fleeting.

Ethan stood there, suddenly at a loss for words.

"Ethan, since you lost, you have to abide by our wager." Seraphina looked into Ethan’s amber eyes.

Ethan’s face remained stern, yet the ferocity from moments before had vanished.

Seraphina took the mask from Ethan’s hand and helped him put it on: "Since you’ve been seen already, why not come inside with me? The conference room is air-conditioned. You can sit and rest inside while I finish the meeting, then we can head home together."

"Wait for you to finish the meeting?"

Ethan’s tone sounded like he had been struck by lightning. In his position of power, no one had ever dared to make him wait.

"Yes."

Seraphina had no intention of deceiving Ethan.

After all, he was recovering now and didn’t need to go to the company.

Ethan had nothing more to say.

His gaze fell on the corner of Seraphina’s lips, and his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.

Seeing that Ethan had calmed down, Seraphina was about to head to the classroom when Ethan stopped her, pulling down his mask: "Then let me kiss you first."

After all, she was the one who initiated the kiss earlier.

Seraphina couldn’t resist.

As they entered the conference room, Seraphina’s lips were a beautiful bright red, slightly swollen, as if she had applied the latest popular alluring makeup.

Her shoulder was draped with Ethan’s black shirt, covering the exposed left shoulder.

Ethan had forcibly draped it over her.

Ethan said her dress was meant only for him, not for others to see.

When Seraphina entered the conference room covered with the shirt, Beatrice Fawcett and Ronan Yates were still holding people back, apparently trying to eavesdrop.

When the two appeared in the conference room, those blocking the door scattered back to their seats.

Seraphina ignored them and looked around on Friday, feeling a bit awkward. There wasn’t even a sofa in the conference room, just an extra chair in the corner.

Seraphina looked at Ethan: "How about you go sit on that chair over there?"

Ethan stood there, the brim of his cap covering his eyes. He walked straight to the conference table, grabbed Ronan Yates by the collar, and tossed him back.

That’s right, he tossed Ronan out.

Then Ethan sat on Ronan’s chair without a hint of psychological burden.

No one in the conference room dared to speak.

They were all dumbfounded.

Ronan stumbled a couple of steps after being thrown out and finally reacted, his temper flaring as he rolled up his sleeves: "Damn it, a gigolo..."

Suddenly, he remembered Seraphina was present, so he restrained himself and looked at her with a pitiful expression: "Seraphina?"

Was this gigolo here to cause trouble?

Seraphina looked at Ethan sitting at the conference table, sighed silently, and then looked at Ronan: "Go move a chair and find a place to sit."

Hearing Seraphina’s arrangement, Ronan stood there, looking more and more aggrieved: "Seraphina..."

Seraphina was siding with this gigolo!

Seraphina was excessively pampering him!

In Seraphina’s mind, he, the diligent and pushed-around vice president of The Defiance Society, was not as important as a gigolo who solved physical needs?

Everyone looked at each other, seeing pity and understanding in each other’s eyes.

This man must be Seraphina’s official boyfriend, with a status higher than Ronan’s vice presidency!

"Alright, Seraphina said so, so let’s not delay our meeting."

Beatrice Fawcett saw Ronan still standing there blankly and stood up to pull him to move a chair.

Ronan foolishly followed Beatrice to the corner. Did he really have to give up his position as her right-hand man to this gigolo?

Seraphina felt a chaotic mess inside, but she managed to stay composed enough to return to her seat.

She couldn’t lose her composure.

Seeing her act so naturally, everyone didn’t know what to say and just kept the matter to themselves.
