Chapter 198: Chapter 198: Learning to Drive

Ethan Sterling’s face looked extremely pale.

He reached out to shift gears for Seraphina Redgrave, turning his head to glare at her through gritted teeth, "Seraphina Redgrave!"

"Accident," Seraphina felt a little embarrassed, "I didn’t know it would accelerate so fast."

She had just pressed the accelerator all the way down.

Ethan still stared at her angrily.

"Does it hurt?"

Seraphina looked at Ethan’s shoulder, feeling a bit apologetic.

"Let me see."

Ethan spoke coldly.

Seraphina released her seatbelt and then went to help Ethan unbuckle his, the passenger buckle was a bit tight, so she directly lifted his shirt and pulled it up, her soft fingertips grazed across his abdomen, feeling for his injury.

Ethan’s breathing almost stopped as he stared blankly at Seraphina.

Seraphina glanced at the bandage on Ethan’s wound, and breathed a sigh of relief, "It’s nothing."

"It hurts."

Ethan fixed his gaze on Seraphina.

Seraphina met his amber eyes, "Should I call Dr. Goodwin?"

She thought she shouldn’t have come to learn driving from him.

Seeing her somewhat annoyed expression, a trace of smugness flashed in Ethan’s eyes, but he pretended to be magnanimous and said, "No matter, you still need to learn to drive, don’t waste time, just massage around the wound will do."

"Maybe I shouldn’t practice today."

Seraphina spoke.

It wouldn’t be good if Ethan got hurt again.

"Giving up so easily?"

Ethan snorted, as if looking down on Seraphina.

Why look down on her?

Seraphina was too lazy to argue, she slowly began to apply pressure around Ethan’s wound, trying to ease his pain.

Ethan sat there, leaning back in the seat with his eyes closed, looking like he was enjoying it.

Admittedly, it was quite comfortable.

Ethan wanted Seraphina’s hand to go elsewhere too, but Seraphina was solely focused on alleviating his pain, only pressing around the wound without any intention to move anywhere else.

A desire arose in Ethan, so he coaxed Seraphina in a hoarse voice, "See if the seatbelt hurt my waist."

How could a waist be injured by a seatbelt?

Was that earlier moment really that intense?

Seraphina bent down to look, her fingers followed the direction and slid across his skin, "There’s nothing wrong."

"Check the other side too, it hurts."

So demanding.

Seraphina leaned in to look, "There’s nothing."

This fell right into Ethan’s plan, as her fingers wandered over Ethan’s waist.

Ethan was increasingly uncomfortable with Seraphina’s touch, he loosened his collar, his Adam’s apple bobbing lightly, just about to pull Seraphina into his arms to do something, but then stopped because the parking lot had real-time monitoring.

"Damn."

"What’s wrong?" Seraphina looked at Ethan, "Does it still hurt?"

It hurt.

It hurt to the point of being breathless.

Ethan grabbed Seraphina’s hand, pulling her into his embrace, holding her still, Seraphina struggled a bit, Ethan gasped, his voice raspy, "Don’t move."

Any more movement and he wouldn’t be able to control himself.

Breathing heavily.

Seraphina looked up, Ethan’s grip on her was strong, like it didn’t hurt anymore, his amber eyes dark and frightening.

His eyes were filled with unmistakable desire.

Seraphina knew what was happening to Ethan, unsure whether to feel embarrassed.

How did it end up like this... weren’t they learning to drive?

As if knowing what Seraphina was thinking, Ethan glared at her and said, "Don’t use your hands to seduce me in the future, I don’t know whether your structure is different from ordinary people, spending three years in forbidden areas with hands still so soft."

Seduce?

Seraphina was speechless, wanting to push Ethan away, but remembered his words and withdrew her hand, waiting for him to calm his desire.

The parking lot was filled with luxurious cars, besides the two of them, there wasn’t anyone else, the lighting was dim, and the atmosphere inside the sapphire blue sports car was ambiguous.

His presence was more unbearable than the burning warmth of his body.

Seraphina felt a tingling in her ears.

After who knows how long, Ethan’s breathing finally steadied.

"Drive."

Ethan released Seraphina, looking elsewhere, not wanting to see her anymore, "Or are you waiting for me to take you back to bed for a drive?"

Be human.

Seraphina was completely speechless, "Why don’t you go back, I remembered what you said, I can learn on my own."

"No way," Ethan refused her words, "If I really wanted to do something to you, no matter where you hide, I’d find you."

"I’m not trying to avoid you."

What kind of brain does Ethan have?

Seraphina looked at Ethan, "I’m still just starting to learn, such things won’t happen only once, if I accidentally crash..."

"If you really crash yourself to death, I’ll go with you," Ethan didn’t give Seraphina a chance to procrastinate, "Drive."

No one could take his life.

He wasn’t afraid of Seraphina taking him to die with her.

Listening to this, Seraphina was helpless, but she had no choice but to place her hand on the steering wheel and regulate her breath.

With experience from the first time, she knew that it wasn’t just a pedal beneath her feet, but her and Ethan’s lives, Seraphina became more cautious.

The car slowly started, no longer shooting forward like before.

Half an hour later, Seraphina was able to drive perfectly around the courtyard of the Sterling Family’s old house, and she was getting increasingly proficient, the speed steadier, without injuring Ethan once more.

She slowly stopped the car, sitting in the driver’s seat, looking at the steering wheel with a hint of a smile in her eyes.

"I can do it, Ethan."

She turned to look at Ethan, seeing her own smiling eyes reflected in his.

She was stunned, was that really her eyes?

Ethan looked at Seraphina, pinched her cheek, "Seems like I’m quite important to you."

At the mention of death, she immediately became serious.

Does she love him this much?

Seraphina was speechless.

She held back the urge to retort, and seeing that Ethan was in a good mood, he asked, "Want to take a spin on the road?"

"I don’t have a license."

How could she get on the road, with so many cars, what if something happens? 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"What are you afraid of, my license plate is the most useful pass, I want to see who in Sovereign dares to stop you or hit you."

Ethan chuckled.

Seraphina thought of the series of 6 she just saw, her clear black and white eyes rolled around, a thought suddenly came to her mind, "I can give it a try."

She felt confident.

With that in mind, she drove the car out of the Sterling Family’s old house, steadily getting on the road.

Just as Ethan imagined, after seeing the car’s license plate on the road, not one dared to approach, all kept their distance, wary of offending the car’s owner.

Seraphina adhered to the rules, and her driving skills became increasingly proficient.

The car kept moving further.

Seraphina parked the car in a parking spot, turned to look at the man beside her, and found that he was already asleep.

Looking ahead again, the car’s head was aimed directly at the entrance of Sovereign College.
