Chapter 197: Chapter 197: Underground Parking Garage

The parking lot in front of Seraphina Redgrave was filled with numerous luxury cars, each with different colors and styles, and even had dedicated attendants for vehicle care.

It seemed like a luxury car exhibition.

Seraphina stood still, suddenly handed a glass jar by someone.

She glanced at it—it was the jar of car keys Ethan Sterling had given her as an apology gift before.

"Stop hesitating, just pick a key and press it. Whichever car lights up, that’s the one to drive."

Ethan stood by, hands in his pockets, his amber eyes fixed on Seraphina, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.

No wonder he was at the top of the pyramid, even his method of choosing a car was straightforward and crude.

"Are you really going to teach me?"

Seraphina looked at Ethan. If she really learned to drive, wouldn’t Ethan worry she might leave?

"Doubting me? In the future, there will be plenty of people wanting your life. Learn a few skills to increase your odds of survival."

Ethan’s voice was deep but very determined.

He seemed unconcerned that Seraphina might escape now.

Seraphina wasn’t opposed to learning new skills, so she opened the jar and said, "Alright."

She randomly picked out a car key, pressed the unlock button, and a faint sound came from far away in the parking lot.

It can sense from this far?

Seraphina wanted to go directly towards the sound, but Ethan stopped her: "Press the unlock button twice."

Ethan glanced at Seraphina’s arm, quite fair.

Seraphina obediently pressed the button twice, hearing the car start up, looked up, and saw a sapphire blue supercar slowly driving out of a parking space towards her.

The car stopped directly in front of Seraphina, its headlights on, as if welcoming Seraphina’s arrival.

"Quite impressive."

Seraphina couldn’t help but speak.

Staring at the dazzling blue car in front of her, she was reminded of the beasts tamed in the forbidden zone, ferocious and bloodthirsty, each wanting her life, yet finally, they meekly obeyed her, following whatever command she gave.

"The only supercar nationwide capable of self-driving, market price two hundred million, it’s yours."

Ethan looked at Seraphina and spoke.

Market price two hundred million...

"You want me to learn with such an expensive car?"

Seraphina looked at Ethan in disbelief, wasn’t he afraid of it getting wrecked during her learning process?

"Feel it’s cheap?" Ethan obviously didn’t know what Seraphina was thinking, "There’s another made of gold beside, forty million..."

"This one will do."

Seraphina interrupted Ethan’s words.

"Alright then."

Ethan smiled.

Seraphina walked towards the car, which sensed the approach of the car key and automatically opened the door, the doors unfolding like wings.

Seraphina sat inside the car, the supercar’s low chassis causing her to sink directly into the seat.

She turned her head, watching Ethan, who was pressing on a wound, also sit inside, his movements somewhat halted, his face not looking too good.

Seraphina supported Ethan: "Why don’t we just find a coach?"

Ethan’s injury wasn’t healed yet.

Upon hearing this, Ethan gave Seraphina a cold look: "Why would you think I’d want another man sitting in a car with you."

What exactly is inside Ethan’s head?

"Get a female coach."

She merely thought Ethan needed rest due to his injury.

"Oh." Ethan replied casually, "No."

Seraphina didn’t want to argue with Ethan further, helped him sit down, fastened his seatbelt.

Just as the belt was secured, the control panel’s screen lit up, and a mechanical female voice came from the speakers: "Master, welcome back Lynn home. Before starting the car, please proceed with facial recognition to let Lynn remember you."

The voice was gentle, yet carried a hint of naivety, like a newly awakened female demon.

No wonder it’s a smart car, it’s indeed different.

The interior was clean and comfortable, seemingly well-maintained normally.

Seraphina sat in the driver’s seat, performed facial recognition according to Lynn’s instructions, letting Lynn wholly belong to her, suddenly thought of something, and said: "You’ve never driven it before?"

If someone else drove, why would there be a facial recognition program?

"Don’t like talkative smart cars."

Ethan, in the passenger seat, watched Seraphina’s adept handling, his gaze occasionally settling on Seraphina’s face and hands.

"Then why did you buy it?"

"What’s the conflict in buying something I don’t like? I bought so many properties; do I need to live in each one?"

Ethan spoke unable to comprehend.

True.

Seraphina set up the system, the mechanic voice introducing itself as Lynn spoke again: "Master, would you like me to introduce this car to you?"

Seraphina glanced at the man beside her, addressed the system: "Why don’t you teach me how to drive?"

She wanted to see how impressive the AI was.

"Certainly!"

Lynn’s voice turned excited: "Serving a beautiful master is Lynn’s honor! Now, please look..."

Ethan watched beside her, seeing one human and one machine chatting happily, his expression darkened: "Quiet, I’ll teach."

What business is it of hers.

Lynn’s voice instantly turned pitiful: "Alright, Young Master Sterling."

And then fell silent.

Seraphina somewhat surprised looked at Ethan: "How does she know you?"

Isn’t he not a fan?

Ethan looked at Seraphina, "The car was designed for me, what do you think?"

So even though Lynn’s recognized master was not Ethan, he still had absolute authority.

Seraphina understood, glanced around, then grasped the steering wheel, her eyes focused forward, her fair face earnest.

She always had a serious attitude towards learning.

Ethan glanced at Seraphina’s delicate neck, then began teaching her.

His voice lacked the hoarseness from his previous injury, now having more authority.

Seraphina listened attentively until he finished, then spoke: "Understood."

Ethan had no doubts about her memory, thus started teaching the next step.

Seraphina quietly listened, according to Ethan’s guidance, looked at the steering wheel and gear stick.

Only after memorizing all positions, did she start the official operation.

But just after completing all the preliminary preparations, as she lightly pressed the accelerator, problems arose.

The car suddenly lost control, like an arrow released from a bow, shooting straight ahead.

The vast parking lot fell silent, leaving only the sound of the car driving.

Seraphina was startled, immediately released the accelerator, slammed the brakes. The car body jolted violently.

Ethan lurched forward with her, inertia brought him back, his wound slammed against the seat, leaving him pale with pain.
