Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 324 - 323: Sucking Up
The passing Ann and Ethan Grant brushed shoulders. She noticed Mr. Grant with a face full of delight, smiling like a child who just got candy, and asked Serena Sullivan, "Why is sir so happy?"
"Maybe his brain’s malfunctioning."
Serena replied coolly. She felt her cheeks damp and said to Ann, "Ann, get me a wet towel."
"Oh!"
The wet towel was brought, and Serena used it to gently wipe her cheeks. As she wiped, the pain in her heart resurfaced.
After Renee Grant returned to the Lockwood Family to arrange surveillance on Felix Lockwood, she couldn’t contain her anger and went to the Grant Family.
The Grant Family, having been struck twice, especially after Ethan Grant’s "devastation," had a much simpler main hall. Mr. Grant didn’t buy any more famous paintings or antiques, fearing Ethan would come smashing again.
In the past two years, Ethan Grant had been secretly scheming, quietly taking back the shares of other Grant Family members.
Without other sources of income, they could only rely on Ethan. If The Grant Corporation prospered, they would too; if it faltered, they wouldn’t fare well either.
Among them, Mr. Grant felt the most stifled.
His son, raised by him, stripped him of his power, disobedient and confrontational.
However, even so, Mr. Grant would never compromise, nor would he truly agree to Ethan and Serena being together. Even if they did get the marriage certificate later, he would force them to divorce.
For the family’s interests and dignity, Mr. Grant had to do so.
"Mr. Sterling, enjoy some tea!"
Mr. Sterling was graceful; he smiled faintly, chatting with Mr. Grant about other matters.
When Renee Grant came in and heard that the Sterling family had come again, her anger dissipated. Upon entering the main hall and seeing Mr. Sterling and Mrs. Sterling, along with Miss Sterling sitting obediently beside Mrs. Sterling, her eyes lit up, and she quickly walked over.
"No wonder the sunshine is so great today! No wonder the Grant Family smells so nice, Mrs. Sterling and Miss Sterling are here."
Renee Grant smiled widely at Miss Sterling.
"Miss Grant,"
Miss Sterling greeted with a smile.
Courteous, elegant, and generous, the more Renee Grant looked at Miss Sterling, the more she liked her.
She went over, held Miss Sterling’s hand, and praised her from head to toe as if her words were coated with honey.
Miss Sterling is beautiful!
Miss Sterling is smart; at such a young age, she’s already a famous designer in the country!
Miss Sterling is obedient and filial, far superior to Serena, who cut ties with her biological mother!
The Sterling Family came from the Imperial Capital to celebrate Mr. Grant’s birthday, but instead of returning immediately, they seemed to have the intention to stay in Solaria for a while. Although neither family openly discussed it, the fact that the whole Sterling family was here was clear to Renee Grant and the Grant Family.
Renee Grant held Miss Sterling’s hand, her smile growing even wider.
Ethan Grant hadn’t seen a woman better than Serena, but Miss Sterling was just perfect. She couldn’t believe Ethan wouldn’t be moved.
In short, Ethan must marry Miss Sterling.
Renee Grant thought firmly. At this moment, she forgot Ethan’s warning, believing his actions against Felix Lockwood were a joke and that as long as she stayed close to Felix, everything would be fine.
After spending a few days in the hospital, Serena felt she was fine.
She requested to be discharged! 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Both Finn Chandler and Ethan Grant disagreed. Rarely in agreement, they wished for Serena to stay in the hospital forever.
But Serena didn’t want to stay. She didn’t like the smell of disinfectant in the hospital, always feeling that staying there brought one closer to death. She preferred the bright sunshine and fresh air.
