Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Julian Fairchild’s Cat at Home

Miles Hughes somehow produced a few cans of milk and other fruit and vegetable drinks, introducing them, "These are exclusively provided, safe, healthy, and not fattening."

"Originally these were prepared for Fairchild, but if Miss Maeve Lane wants to drink, feel free, we’re all family." Miles glanced at Maeve Lane, lowering his head and speaking ambiguously.

Sarah Sutton chuckled, inwardly noting that Julian Fairchild really is someone whose exterior and interior are different; he seems distant but didn’t forget to bring drinks for Maeve Lane, "Sure, sure, drinking more milk is good for your health."

Julian Fairchild raised his eyebrows and personally handed a bottle to Maeve Lane, "Take it."

Maeve Lane lifted her eyelids to look at him, that peculiar thought surfacing again, but with so many people around, she couldn’t ask about it, "Thanks."

"No need to be polite with me."

Sarah Sutton now felt a novel-type reality unfolding, as since she watched that video featuring them as a couple, Julian Fairchild’s every action towards Maeve Lane seemed special.

In the past, Julian Fairchild wouldn’t concern himself with Maeve Lane. She and Miles were mostly involved in cleaning up after Maeve Lane, never actively inviting her for auditions or offering resources.

It was as if once signed, they put Maeve Lane on ice.

But she couldn’t figure out why, if they wanted Maeve Lane in the cold, they would have her as her agent, considering Sarah wasn’t narcissistic but counted herself among MS Entertainment’s top agents.

Ever since watching the video until now, every time she saw Julian Fairchild and Maeve Lane together, her mind automatically filled with pink bubbles.

Even just now, when Julian Fairchild handed Maeve Lane milk, she felt his gaze was different.

Sarah Sutton murmured to herself, "Am I dreaming?"

"What dream?" Maeve Lane gently sipped the milk; the warm milk flowed down her throat, making her feel all cozy. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"Nothing."

"This styling is great, hahaha." Director Dayne lifted the curtain and walked in, smiling like a blooming flower, "This young girl truly has given us quite the challenge; every set has a unique feel and it’s hard to pick one."

Julian Fairchild walked over and stood shoulder to shoulder with Maeve Lane, their shoulders almost touching, "The first set."

Maeve Lane turned her face, meeting his gaze precisely, their breaths seemingly intertwined.

There it was again, that ambiguous feeling, with unknown emotions churning in her heart.

Director Dayne pulled out a stack of photos, looking carefully, "The first set is indeed more outstanding. I think it works."

"Hmm."

Director Dayne looked up again, pleased with the outstanding pairing before him, remarking with satisfaction, "Not bad, you two already really have the vibe of a couple."

After he spoke, he suddenly squinted in surprise, "Julian, did something bite your clavicle? It looks like it’s got a scratch?"

The smile on Maeve Lane’s lips faltered, and the strings in her heart instantly pulled taut.

Sarah Sutton and Nina Quinn also looked towards Julian Fairchild’s clavicle and indeed saw slight scratches, mostly hidden by his clothes, but Director Dayne’s sharp eyes caught them at once.

The man lazily lifted his hand, gently stroking his clavicle; under the sunlight, the light blue veins on his hand’s back were visible.

Maeve Lane felt he seemed to lightly touch her shoulder.

She lifted her head, half-squinting her eyes, seemingly warning him.

Julian Fairchild looked down at her from above, a hint of amusement passing through his eyes, his dark pupils deep as a cold pool; his thin lips uttered a few words—

"Mm, the cat at home was hungry, a bit anxious."
