Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 261: In the Palm of Her Hand (III)
"I am a half-human after all and have lived my entire life in human civilizations. As long as their leader is a human, then I can read him quite well," Sisi said with confidence that eased others’ worries. "Just look at your surroundings. If things were going awry on our side, we would’ve been surrounded by a bunch of human soldiers by now."
Ruela looked at her surroundings and was relieved to see that Mistress Sisi was right. They were doing just fine right now despite the chaos outside of the Beast Kingdom.
Though, there was one person who looked downtrodden right now.
"Speak if you have something in mind, Garou," Sisi ordered, and the warrior who had been reduced to a mere bodyguard wore a sullen look as he replied:
"Mistress, since you said that everything is according to your plan, then may I be excused to leave the courtyard and join others on the battlefield? My King and other generals told me that I need to gain more experience before becoming a mighty warrior worthy of protecting the Beast Kingdom, but I will not be able to gain any experience by standing here while looking at flowers!"
"Garou!" Ruela was embarrassed because her bodyguard could be so willful in front of their future queen, but Sisi giggled in response.
"Don’t worry about gaining some experience. I guarantee that you’ll get some today," Sisi said mysteriously, much to Garou and everyone else’s confusion.
Sisi leaned towards Jojo and pulled the hood of his cloak to cover his head, because a gust of wind suddenly blew to the east, right in the direction of the enemy line.
"Anyway, our soldiers have been holding on for a while. Since the wind is in our favor, let’s start counterattacking, shall we?"
Sisi carried Jojo as she walked out of the pavilion and headed to the tree in the middle of the courtyard. It was a persimmon tree whose flowers had bloomed naturally since it was late spring already. It shouldn’t take long for the fruits to ripen.
Unfortunately, this tree had to die because Sisi had already sacrificed its life for the sake of the Beast Kingdom’s victory.
In order to create an ultimate flower that she could manipulate at will, Grandma Tree said that Sisi had to nurture one plant with her own hands, making sure the tree was happy enough to give its life and create a great weapon sprouted from Mother Nature.
Thus, Sisi tended this tree every day lovingly, and the tree communicated through its branches that it was very happy to help its darling, even at the cost of its life.
Sisi placed her palm on the tree bark and whispered, "I am sorry, little one. Now is the time for you to help me. Thank you... for sacrificing your life."
The tree shook all its flowers as if it were dancing happily before slowly withering away until each branch became too brittle and the bark got too dry and fell to the ground.
In the end, nothing was left from that tree except a dead stump. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"M-Mistress, what happened?" Ruela and Garou approached Sisi after witnessing her power.
Sisi smiled at them and said, "It’s just a small gift from the earth to the beastmen. With it, we will surely win."

"My King, we have to do something! The armadillos cannot stand much more than this!" Tringgi reported anxiously.
Kael was unresponsive, but he continued waiting and waiting until a strong gust of wind blew towards the direction of the enemy, and the earth began quaking, messing up the armadillos’ formation, as well as the enemies’ ballista.
In the middle of the battlefield, a red flower with five white-spotted petals and a big hole in the middle suddenly sprouted.
The flower was the size of a building, towering above everyone, and from the open hole in the middle, a horrifying stench emitted into the air and was carried by the wind, forcing everyone on the battlefield to smell it.
"Have all of you drunk the medicine prepared by your queen?" Kael asked.
"Yes, My King!"
"Good," Kael smiled. "Because that medicine will prevent the effect of the giant plant in front of us."
"B-but, what is that giant flower, My King? I’ve never seen one before!" Grishaw asked.
"Sisi told me that’s a rare flower called Rafflesia growing deep in the southeast area. Normally the size shouldn’t be that big, but with her power, she made it a hundred times bigger," Kael explained. "On top of that, she also modified the strong stench coming from the flower. Thus, anyone who inhales the scent without drinking the potion that gives you temporary immunity will—"
Kael stopped explaining after seeing the soldiers from the enemy side who suddenly fell and sprawled on the ground while screaming maniacally as if they were having epileptic attacks.
"—will experience that," Kael grinned. "Since nobody on the enemy side knows the antidote, they are forced to hold their breaths or inhale little by little, or else they’d have—"
"Tringgi, command your army to make ball formation. We’re finally counterattacking!" Kael commanded. "Grishaw, prepare the vulture beastmen troops to drop the stones!"
"Yes, My King!!"
Kael took a deep breath as he was finally allowed to fight.
At first, he protested to Sisi, since he believed he could kill them all. All he needed was time, since there were too many of them.
But Sisi said that her help was not for Kael, because she knew Kael wouldn’t die in this war anyway.
But it was for their beastmen soldiers. She didn’t want any meaningless deaths from the beastmen side.
Thus, he had to patiently wait until the giant Rafflesia sprouted in the middle of the battlefield before launching an attack.
Kael took off the cloak made by Sisi and handed it to Grishaw, telling him to keep it safe.
Kael closed his eyes, and an intense and terrifying dark aura exploded from within his body.
The dark aura was so intense that some enemy soldiers were overtaken by fear before falling to the ground after inhaling too much of the stench from the giant flower.
