MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Assassin-Chapter 58: Fear
"Yone?" Ema burst into tears as she jumped from the bed in the living room and hugged her son tightly, tears streaming out of her eyes like a miniature fountain.
Yone felt even more warmth inside as he also hugged his mouth tightly, his heart wanted to utter a lot of the sufferings he endured all the past seven years, and just wept at his mother’s warm hug.
Alas, Yone knew better than to do that and just sucked all of those emotions in and darted his eyes around the house.
He saw his father, who looked at him with a dangerous gaze, ready to beat him up if he did anything bad to get all that money in such a short amount of time, but he failed to see his brother Shen, and could tell that he was on his way from school.
"Yone, my little baby." His mother took a step back as she held both his cheeks with both hands and looked him in the eyes." Your father showed me what you sent. Now tell mommy where you got all that money, and keep in mind that mommy knows if her little baby is lying or not."
Yone rolled his eyes, and his face blushed. This was one of the main things that pushed him away from visiting the house each time, his mother would always treat him as a baby, no matter his age and height.
In the future, added with that embarrassment, such a feeling only doubled when he became useless and felt that his father John might as well kick him out if he dared to play with his mother’s feelings any longer. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Sighing inwardly, Yone pushed aside those disturbing thoughts and spoke truthfully," You have probably heard about Eclipse Online through the news yesterday or the past few days."
"Yes, we did, what about it?" His father replied on the side, sipping a cup of coffee his wife left once she jumped to hug her son, as if he were innocent.
"Well, that very game seems to be way bigger and better than End World, the one that shook a quarter of the planet once and made me a lot of money in just 12 hours inside of it." Yone didn’t hesitate as he then went through some details, mixing truth with lies.
His mother seemed to be in deep thought as she locked eyes with her son and after a few seconds, she nodded her head and kissed his cheek happily," Okay, it doesn’t seem like you are lying but just hiding a thing, but any grown man have something to hide so I’ll allow it this time."
Ema chuckled as she went back to her sofa and slapped her husband’s hand as he was about to reach for her coffee once again, and glared at him on the side, while Yone stood a bit shocked on the side.
’Truly, mothers know everything,’ He chuckled inwardly and breathed a sigh of relief that only mothers had such powers to know even the details of their son’s train of thought.
"I’ll call a few people to you with all the heavy lifting and book a ticket for the Dragon City, wait me a bit please," As Yone was about to leave through the door, he heard a cup breaking and when he turned around, he found both his parents shaking in fear.
Gasp!
Both John and Ema had their eyes wide open as their bodies kept shaking uncontrollably. They seemed to be terrified of something and only calmed down when they heard Yone asking for the reason several times in a row.
"Moom, what’s wrong...Moom!" Yone kept yelling, completely confused by their reaction.
Ema took a breath and held her husband’s hand tightly and nodded at him, which finally did John finally focus up, his face turning serious, and none of his past humor could be seen as he said in a sharp tone.
"No, not Dragon City and the Inner City of our Black Dragon Country," John shook his head, sweat dropping off of his forehead as he even took several looks at the door just in case someone was overhearing their conversation.
Hearing his words, a distant memory clicked as Yone finally recalled bits of information he had heard at the last year of his gaming experience on Guardians Angels before he regressed back to the past.
But from what he recalled, and from what he had heard when he made a call earlier to check the prices and even reserve a house for himself, all he needed to do was go through a test, and no more.
It should be known that he wasn’t just getting inside the inner city, but also planning to buy a decent house at the outskirts of the most advanced technologies in the world, which existed inside a place known as the inner wall.
The inner wall was a place built in the middle of Dragon City that could accommodate up to one million civilians. The only issue is that no one was allowed to enter unless they met certain requirements, whether financial or in terms of the test that those people required.
"What do you mean father?" Yone couldn’t help but inquire a bit more about this, his eyebrows raised as he was totally lost for words.
Hearing his question, his mother grabbed his hand and asked him to seat down, while his father went to his room and took out an old wooden box filled with dirt all over it.
Looking at the box with a frightened gaze, John placed it on the table and spoke," You probably don’t know this since we never told you but in my younger days, I wasn’t just a regular worker as of today but was one of the elites of the Black Dragon Country and a business man that dealt directly with the government."
"Then, what happ..." Yone was gonna ask when his mother placed her index finger on her lips and uttered slowly, a tear escaping her eyes," Just listen to your father, you will know once he is done."
