"The TCF is like any organization, except with a stricter and longer hierarchy."

The voice echoed through the jet where Everlearn sat, the earbud beeping a green light in his ear.

"The lowest are the guards."

"But even though they might seem inconsequential, they are properly recorded and even monitored more than most in the hierarchy."

"Maybe they're trying to strengthen their weakest links…"

Everlearn commented.

"That's very likely."

"The second after the guards are the Head Guards, in a ratio of one Head Guard to twelve guards."

"Even though well monitored like the guards, they all do not hold anything deeply connected to the servers, like codes, or any algorithm or data."

"They're unofficial members in a sense."

"After the High Guards are the Base Bosses. One of those is the woman you got the code from."

"They are the first official entry into the base, holding key information like codes, algorithms, data, and server logs."

"Then are the Commanders. It's in a ratio of a Commander to a Base, monitoring every guard, High Guard, and Base Boss."

"They don't necessarily have the codes and info, but they ensure those who have them do what they're supposed to do with them."

"They also have the authority to quickly discipline any official who misuses the codes or guards who fail to perform their duties."

"Like that, Commander Sauron?"

Everlearn said.

"Exactly. The next rank after, and the second to the last, are the Base Lords."

"These are our targets. There are very few, a total of just five, and they're the first entry to commanding power."

"They hold the TCF's infrastructure, including all technical gadgets and deployment of TCF squad forces."

"They're the real deal, and if we want Tellie City saved, they're our best bet."

"Information about them is even locked away for most members in the server itself."

"I had to do some bit of social engineering to get their deeper info, such as their true living locations."

"They're not at all in any TCF base, but work directly from their own homes, barely showing their faces."

"They're basically unknowns, and my trying to get deeper connections to them ended up having me instantly recognized and blocked off the server."

"Sounds bad…"

Everlearn mused.

"It's fine. I was able to get the correct address of two of them before my authority was revoked."

"The first one is that of Lord Asmodeus."

"Surprisingly, it didn't take much hard work to find his true location. In fact, it was so easy that I think it's a trap."

Sara mused, quieting a bit.

"It's not a trap," Everlearn said.

"The man sounds arrogant, as arrogant as arrogance can be defined."

"But old fogies who've lasted this long in power aren't amateurs, nor do they get their arrogance from nothing."

"He likely possesses truly dangerous powers, which strengthen his arrogance and make him unconcerned about being tracked."

Everlearn mused with an almost uncaring shrug.

"Lord Sauron is dangerous, Everlearn."

"The information I've gathered about him… I don't know if I should recite them, since you're going to go meet him. I think that might just come out negatively instead."

"But… I still think going to his abode all alone by yourself to meet him is a really, really bad idea."

Sara said worriedly.

"It's necessary, though."

"Is it? I mean, I have two locations, remember? There's another High Lord, Lord Salarine. She's a woman."

"I think she'll be able to resonate more than Lord Sauron."

"She won't."

Everlearn said this in a matter-of-fact tone, causing her to pause.

"For all of the other four to immediately reject us as they did, they must have gotten the order from Lord Sauron himself."

"Even if I somehow managed to convince her to my side…"

"You heard what Lord Sauron said. All five Commanders will still need to support the idea."

"And if a single Commander can command the others to ignore us, and they all did in the span of a few minutes with no refusal or question at all, then it's clear who truly holds the deepest power amongst them."

"Even if I convince Lord Salarine, Sauron can still say no."

"And even if we threaten them with her life and they truly release all that we want, they won't really be doing it willingly and might just hand out our own deaths, or worse, turn their forces on us."

"But all of that headache can be avoided if the real boss, Sauron, is convinced."

"Then the others won't say no to him, and we get what we want."

"How do you plan to convince a man who already hates you without yet seeing you at all?"

Sara asked doubtfully.

"It's man-to-man stuff. You won't understand."

He said, and he could almost hear her annoyed scoff.

"Just send me the map of his precise location. I'll handle the rest. Trust me."

He said, and silence followed for a while.

"I'll send it to your device."

BEEP

BEEP

BEEP

Everlearn brought out his device, and there he found satellite footage, maps, and even various screenshots of a building.

"For a weird reason, even his house location is strange."

"It's in a forbidden war zone where the first Nakors War, a century ago, had taken place, Abyssal Eye Pit."

"It was banned from everyone due to intense nanoradiation and arcane spills that happened during the war, proving harmful to humans."

"And in such a place, he built his personal home, an ultra-gigantic single leaning skyscraper."

"Maybe he's an introvert?"

Everlearn asked, and the sound of a head being clasped rang out.

"I feel like you're not taking this seriously enough, Everlearn."

"You worry too much, Sara."

He replied.

"Are you the strongest Corer there is in Nvidia?"

She suddenly asked.

"Huh?"

"I asked, are you the strongest Corer there is in Nvidia?"

"I doubt that."

"Well, then I guess you need to start worrying too."

"What if you come across a person vastly stronger than you?"

"What if Lord Sauron is the strongest Corer there actually is in Nvidia, or he has protected his mansion with the twelve strongest Corers on Nvidia?"

"Do you think they wouldn't still be able to kill you?"

She asked.

"Then you need to worry too, Everlearn."

She said, and an amused smile lined Everlearn's lips.

"Are you asking me to walk into the house of a TCF High Lord in a forbidden zone… scared?"

"Yes!"

She said, and he paused.

"Being scared is a good thing. It makes you hypervigilant, ready for action. Don't be too lax like you are now."

"You don't even know how strong Lord Sauron is, and you're so confident walking into his base in a forbidden zone."

"It'll be fine, Sara."

Everlearn said, and she quieted down, sighing in the end.

"I trust you. And when you get there, do switch on the camera dot so I can direct you around the place."

She said, and he nodded.

"I will."

"Okay. Take care…"

She said before the call was severed.

Everlearn quietly stared at the number for a while before placing his device on the seat.

'Even though she's obviously voicing all that out due to her worry, as expected of the female creature, but… in a way, she's kind of right.'

Everlearn mused quietly.

The number one strongest Corer in the world was anonymous.

No one knew him.

The question was, what if he was Lord Sauron himself?

What if the man had fused with the highest-grade Core possible, Core S?

Everlearn was currently comparable to a U-grade Corer, but if he faced a Core S Corer, he would undoubtedly lose.

A part of him logically ought to have asked what grade Lord Sauron was and how strong he was.

But somehow…

'I feel nothing.'

His mind didn't ask if Lord Sauron was stronger or weaker.

It simply wanted to know where he was, and he would barge in there and never leave until he had what he wanted.

That was all he had in his mind.

Possible ways of him failing, like Lord Sauron being stronger, didn't even cross his mind at all.

"Maybe I really am too lax."

He mused under his breath.

As good as it was to be confident in one's own strength, it wasn't very wise to walk into the abode of an unknown enemy.

Perhaps he truly needed that little bit of fear in his confidence, too. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

At that moment, the jet began to take a sharp dive, and Everlearn looked out the window, seeing the massive port.

'I guess this is all for later.'

He thought, throwing the thoughts to the back of his head.

He needed to finish his X-Guard mission here first, which involved finding the earring.

As for his first step, it was meeting the one who had lost the earring himself.

A person whom Everlearn had already found annoying before even meeting.
