Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 83: The Daring Alpha [2]
[RANIA]
"Good evening, Rania. I see you’re looking great," Oshita said, before turning to the people around him, "right guys?"
With Oshita, was a group of fifty rogues, obviously the ones that Paloma was leading. Since she was banished, Paloma had risen up the ranks among the rogues and managed to unite all the rogue wolves from Obren.
She always said it was her way of making sure that they all had better lives. She knew that the rogues were exiled for valid reasons and she know that they could repent for it.
So instead of punishing themselves even more, Paloma had offered to be their leader, and helped the service the lands, just like any pack would. Granted, they were still barbaric, but even Paloma had rules for her people, and they always followed the to maintain order in their community.
’Maybe this was why she sent me her message, damn,’ Rania said, remembering the letter she had received from, Paloma. Of course, she knew that Nathaniel or Jihoon and even Jungwoo would probably seek the help of the rogues.
However, she hadn’t expected them this soon. Then again, Rania had managed to tell the royals to push her trial to a sooner date. This could explain the hurry to get her to justice at the hands of the people, before the trial.
It was a smart move,e and Rania applauded them.
Rania could smell their stenches from a distance, because it was she who had banished them. She wanted to ask how the fuck fifty Incayon rogues had made it back into Obren, but she didn’t bother.
Se knew that everyone was desperate to see her be brought to justice, and if bringing back rogues was the only way in, then they would do that.
"I was doing great, until I saw you. Lemme guess, Nathaniel sent you to me, right?" Rania asked, making them take a few steps back. Clearly, they hadn’t expected that she would tell at a glance, but Rania was Rania.
Paloma wouldn’t ever put her rogues in danger unless she knew that she was getting more from the deal. and even then, she hoped they would make it back home. Rania knew this hadn’t been an easy decision, but for the sake of her friend, she wouldn’t kill anyone today.
Well, even if she wanted to, she wasn’t strong enough anyway.
"It doesn’t matter who sent us to you. What matters is that we have you, at your weakest, and without any protection. Tell me, Alpha Rania, how have you been?" Oshita asked and Rania just smiled at him.
Kim Rania was feeling like shit, but it wasn’t like there was anything she could do with them right now. She wanted this situation. She wanted to feel the pain, because frankly, rania couldn’t handle the emotional pain she was experiencing at the moment.
The Incayon alpha wanted to feel anything that could distract her from whatever she was feeling, and how she thought of everything.
On her way to Obren, before Oshita reached her, Rania had been thinking of everything that had happened that fateful night. It was just one night, one night that turned her life upside down. A night that her parents had never wanted to talk about, and also the night that changed everything.
Rania was broken but nothing would take away the fact that everything that happened that night was why she had turned out this way. She couldn’t tell it to Dalrae, because her best friend would be out on a murdering spree.
She couldn’t tell her parents, because they didn’t do anything despite knowing everything even today. Their child was suffering and they had turned a blind eye, but even they knew Rania was pushed by the events of that night.
"Oh, please, and you think you were so important to Incayon no? The fifty of you were a waste, a bunch of headless chickens running around and committing crimes you didn’t want to own up to. You would have ruined our home.
"If you ask me, I did Incayon a favor, otherwise, you’d be dragging the pack down," Rania said and that seemed to irk Oshita because instead of keeping his distance, he looked at the other rogues, who smiled creepily at Rania before tying her up to the tree.
"You can have your revenge, boys. Just make sure not to kill her. The boss wouldn’t want the whole of Obren descending on territory," Oshita said and Rania smirked. She had been hoping for him to slip up and tell if their boss was Paloma or their boss was Nataniel. This was too smart of them and she knew it.
"I see you grew smarter, Oshita. And since we’re at it, how about we talk about Doronjo?" Rania enunciated to Oshita who looked at her angrily. He knew she would try to trigger his past, especially one that had left him a little too broken, but Doronjo was a tough subject for him.
He loved Doronjo, hell, he had lived for her. But his woman just packed up one day, and never looked back.
Doronjo was a human, the girl who would have made life easier for Oshita, but the moment she learned about who Oshita truly was, Doronjo had taken the first trip back home. And Rania had aided her, almost like it was something that Rania had wanted to do to Oshita for a long time.
"She left, and you, Rania, aided her. What’s to be said about her anyway?" Oshita said, before signaling his boys to attack Rania.
Even with her shaven hair, Rania looked so beautiful. Sure her hair made her look a little too different, but damn was she even prettier. It was almost like there was never an ugly side to her, save for her personality which was torturous to everyone.
"You don’t know shit, Oshita, and that’s what makes this even interesting," Rania said, trying to smile through the punches Oshita’s people were sending her way.
She was hurting, and the fact that she had turned off her werewolf healing, made her the most vulnerable person ever. Right now, she wasn’t an alpha, just a regular omega girl, and she wasn’t about to change it, because her desire for physical pain was too intense.
It was the only way to shut the voices in her head anyway.
"Well, we have time, don’t we?" Oshita said, not caring that this woman was taking a lot of punches. She was already too broken, but what could she do when she was desperate for that pain? She wanted a distraction from her mind.
Rania wanted to forget and while she knew that wasn’t entirely possible, with the pain Oshita was feeding her, she could be distracted enough, at least until she reached Obren.
"That we do. But first, did you know the stench of rogues can make a normal wolf die of disgust? Your people smell like they haven’t been showering for days," Rania said, knowing so well this was a lame attempt at getting more pain.
Expectedly, she was punched in the gut, making her bend for a while in pain. Rania bowed her head in pain, winching at the amount of force the punches held. She had been turned into a punching bag, and they were not even sparing her face.
She was getting hit from all ends, and yet even then, she was smiling, trying to pretend like she wasn’t even hurting, when she was and deep down, Rania was glad this was happening.
"Quit stalling."
