Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 56: The Girl Without Patience
[DRARUN]
Seven hours on horse ride under the scorching sun and all they were met with was a barrier at the very gates that had begun this. This was absurd and frankly overly annoying. Sure, they hadn’t expected the grand welcome, but at least they could open the damned gates!
The two crazy alphas had both been at their homes, living their boring lives, when the damned king had summoned them, without giving them a choice, and now they were to stay stranded again?
The trio was still on their horses when they were stopped by the warriors at the palace gates. The huge iron gates were the reminder that only the chosen were invited in and only those that the royals had worked for.
"Rania," Jihoon said to Rania, but he knew deep down that the stubborn alpha wouldn’t listen to him. She would rather have preferred to walk on ice than listen to Jihoon. However, he hoped that she didn’t go all ballistic, because they had had a long day.
Jungwoo looked at Rania and Jihoon and figured he could just get down from his horse and talk to the warriors. He would use his royal wolf to make it known that they ended up getting in, but one look at Jihoon and he knew now wasn’t the time.
If they had really needed the prince to get through, Rania wouldn’t be looking at the guards like she wanted to smash their heads on the wall and pop their eyes out with their swords, before ripping them apart piece by piece.
She had always been brutal, and it was no secret since her whole life had always been trauma after trauma. Obren had been the reason for her suffering and she had no time to stay and sit pretty while waiting for a king who had sent them out into the world of the undead and the unguarded lands.
"Unbelievable," Rania sighed, before she stepped down from her horse, and stared at the warriors who were looking at her like she was some wannabe badass. She wasn’t a badass, no. Kim Rania of Incanyo was dead in its truest form.
"Open the damned fucking gates mate," Rania growled angrily and the warriors at the gates flinched for a moment. However, the head warrior didn’t move or even seem to be worried about Kim Rania.
The warrior had instinctively made a few steps back from where Rania was standing but that was all. He just needed to be safe from her, because this woman was unhinged in all the cursed ways. The great unmated werewolf psycho alpha of Incayon, who didn’t know her anyway?
The warrior knew her, everyone here knew her and they were painfully aware that she was a danger to be reckoned with. She made people have nightmares even though they hated her so much. Even in their hate, they lowkey respected her and wanted to be her.
Kim Rania and Park Jihoon in the same place, were too dangerous together and everyone was aware of that. So why in all hell were they here? Was this a coup against the ruling king? That couldn’t be possible though, right?
"We can’t do that. The king isn’t—" the warrior began, as he shamelessly waved around his sword and showed his claws like it was some fucking toy. Rania just smiled at him, the anger in her making a show, a reminder that she wouldn’t care whether she had to go through them.
She was too pissed to even tell that these people were doing their jobs here.
"Now listen here, you hopeless little scrawny ass shit. One, your stupid spear won’t do shit to me, because I can kill you with my bare hands, and the king will just count you as an unfortunate casualty in the name of the reject of Incayon.
"Secondly, retract those baby claws, because mine are bigger and longer than yours, and guess what, I am a woman. Three, you tell fucking Seojoon and that bitchy Eunbi that I got them what they have been seeking for so many years.
"Be sure to mention that they need to fucking open these gates because if they don’t, they will lose their precious little son, and I wouldn’t give two shits about that. Did you hear me or should I tell you that one more time?" Rania growled out at the warriors angrily.
She then proceeded to roughly grab the unexpecting Jungwoo from his horse, almost making the young prince fall, while mouthing an apology to her best friend. This wasn’t the time for these idiots to be joking with her though.
The warriors were not sure what they heard, but none of them had the audacity to ask Rania to repeat herself. She looked so enraged and frankly, they were saving their lives. Anyone in their state would.
Seven hours on the road wasn’t easy, and considering they hadn’t eaten anything, looked like shit, and had to look like they were serenading the damn warriors, Alpha Rania was more than pissed.
She had been drained a lot, and was still walking on eggshells around Jungwoo. She knew he would know that she killed his sister and he would hate her forever.
She knew that was something she wasn’t going to contest, but until then, she wanted to see whether Dalrae was okay or if she had to add king Seojoon to the list of the people she needed to order today.
Well, it was a long list, but for today, she would just probably deal with the king, considering his power and all.
She also wanted to get away from Jungwoo before Jihoon or anyone here told him that Rania had murdered Yanna in cold blood and when she couldn’t even fight back. She was brutal with the women and Jungwoo would certainly want to avenge Yanna.
Today, Rania wanted to see Dalrae. That was all.
"Here’s the thing, mate. I have a woman to get back to, and standing pretty beyond these stupid gates isn’t really what I worked so hard for. If you were me, you’d understand my desire to see her, but you aren’t.
"Anyway, for the sake of fairness and justice in the great Obren, I’mma count to five, and if you don’t open the damn gates, then you can add the death of the lost prince to my tally of deaths, yeah?"
Rania growled out again, this time making sure it was loud enough for the king and his wife to make a show. What was taking them so long anyway when they had already felt the shift in power? Why weren’t they already here anyway?
Rania’s growl was terrifying and for a moment, Jungwoo wondered what the hell had happened to his best friend.
She had changed so much over the years and by the sheer horror on the warrior’s faces, it was by a lot. She terrified everyone around her for some reason, and they seemed to hate her too.
What had Rania done to them all? 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Why did she talk like she had no one to lose anymore?
Was she all alone?
’Goddess please have mercy on her,’ Jungwoo said silently.
