That night, Park Jihoon didn’t sleep. He couldn’t even if he tried. He was awake and listening for Rania’s heartbeats. He was worried that she would have nightmares again and he wanted to be there to calm her down.

He hated himself the whole night and he had spent it thinking of all the different things that he could have paid attention to. Even as the sun rose, he still couldn’t find it in himself to close his eyes and sleep.

Until he saw her wake up.

"Wake up you hog-heads," Rania said and Jihoon bit back a chuckle.

Kaia had cast an invisibility spell on him, one that would stop Rania from seeing him, thought the rest of them could see him. They didn’t want her to be heartbroken again because that was too great a risk for them.

"We don’t even have to train you, wicked woman. Why are you waking us up?" Dalrae whined as she snuggled closer to her source of warmth.

Her blanket was a little warmer today and she loved it. So she tried to pull it towards her, but it wasn’t moving, which was weird because she could have sworn that she had slept with one last night.

This was getting crazy and she only had one suspect.

Kim Rania.

"If you don’t leave my blanket, Kim Rania, do not blame me for spilling your blood and leaving you for the animals of the wolf to consume you.

"I shall count to three," Dalrae said, the warning tso clear in her voice, but Rania couldn’t help but laugh. The sight before her was going to be interesting to explain and she was counting on it.

"Why the fuck are you so loud in the fucking mor— Oh my fucking goddess, you people DID it? What the fuck? You guys have no respect for your friends?

"Wow, cruel?" Kaia rated as he looked at the sight before him.

This was easily the top of the list of the things they would have never imagined seeing. Hell, Jihoon himself was enjoying the confusion. He had learned to be silent, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be amused by the madness.

"Kaia fucking Seto. I swear to the goddess if this was your doing, if you are the one holding my blanket, I will rip you to pieces," Dalrae warned and Kaia let out a loud laugh like he was really having the time of his life right now.

"Even when I am innocent, I always find myself dragged to the center of the chaos. How about you open your eyes and try explaining it yourself?

"Maybe that will free me and little wolf from the accusations this early, mm?" Kaia said to Dalrae and she just groaned angrily before she counted to three, like that was to tell Rania and Kaia to stop holding her blanket.

However, when she did open her eyes, Lim Dalrae was in shock.

The whining she had been doing came to an instant stop and the accusation against Kaia and Rania were definitely not workable anymore.

This was not what she had been thinking of and goodness, Dalrae was too shocked to even speak.

"If this is what it gets to shut her up every morning, then we really need to have more of this," Kaia teased and Dalrae threw her pillow at him, which he graciously missed and continued to tease her.

"You people are idiots. Why the fuck are you so lou— Holy shit, what the fuck happened? We didn’t? Did we? Oh, fuck me," Chang Wook said as he looked at the position he was in.

Kaia didn’t think that it was a serious situation because he was still throwing banters.

"You mean you already fucked each other for the night and want a re-match? Wow, brother, I thought you would take it slow for the first day of our special bond," Kaia teased and Rania was done holding her laughter in anymore.

Granted she knew she and Kaia would probably be stuck sounding some weird ass duties, but it would be worth it.

Before them were Dalrae and Chang Wook, who were tangled, literally.

The blankets they had been covering themselves with had somehow found themselves in the mix and now the two were hugging each other like they were the couple that had fought in the night, but had cuddled because they wanted to keep the flame burning.

Only that the flame and their blankets in between weren’t a good idea because they looked like they were folding right now.

"Their eyes are turning red. They’re actually blushing? This is golden. Oh, the things Oshita would give to witness this," Rania teased and she took a few steps back, ready to miss any hits that were about to be directed in their way.

"Maybe they really did it, for the night, right?" Kaia teased and Dalrae let out growls, but they didn’t do anything because Kaia and Rania were busy laughing their asses off at the awkward state that Chang Wook and Dalrae were currently in.

"This could have been avoided if they just accepted the fact that they are mated," Rania fake whispered to Kaia who joined in with the teasing. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

They looked like middle school kids who had just found their friends in bed together and didn’t know what else to do other than tease the fuck out of them.

"We are not mates!!!" Chang Wook and Dalrae said at the same time, and that seemed to just confirm the theories that their friends had.

This was golden on so many levels and the more they tried to deny the facts the more they looked like they had been really caught in the act.

They were hopeless.

"We need to get out of this mess," Chang Wook said and Dalrae nodded her hard frantically like she didn’t want to be anywhere near Chang Wook. And strangely, the same was going on for Chang Wook too.

"Yup, absolutely and I need to kill those two idiots that have been laughing at us like they don’t tell us they were mates," Dalrae said to Chang Wook as she hopelessly tried to untangle them.

In their struggle, they kept tangling each other even more and got angrier which made their friend find their situation even funnier. This was madness but it was the kind that they all loved.

At least no one was killing each other.

"At least we have the guts to admit that we are mates. What about the two of you?" Rania teased and Chang Wook looked at Dalrae, like he wanted to say something.

Them being tangled and messing with each other like that got their bodies and faces so close it was impossible to tell that they were way too close for both their linking.

But then they were adults and if they really wanted to get out of that awkward state, all Chang Wook had to do was to bind them with his magic.

Instead, Chang Wook slammed his lips on Dalrae’s, surprising the woman, and exciting everyone else who was in the room.

"I knew they were mates!!! Oshita owes me fried rice woo hoo!!" Rania jumped around, cheering, and even in her excitement, Jihoon noticed that she hadn’t once looked at Kaia with eyes that spelled romantic feelings.

It was then that Park Jihoon knew that Kaia was just another friend to Kim Rania.

But would that change anything or even Rania’s plans?
