Chapter 241: Since When? How The Hell?

[RANIA]

"He’s my twin."

This was a statement that claimed sibling bonds, and in normal families, this statement could have made people happy.

This statement could have translated to a bond that people wanted to appreciate and yet as they stood there, their jaws on the floor of the stinking house, they couldn’t believe that this was happening.

Hell, even the prisoners had momentarily forgotten that they were prisoners. It was understandable though, because never in the history of ever had anyone ever imagined that Kaia Seto had siblings.

The people who knew that he had siblings had always resorted to never talking about Kaia Seto because to them, the evil of the Seto house was like cancer and it spread so fast that it was almost difficult to completely eliminate it.

There would have been intense repercussions.

"What the fuck just happened?" Rania spoke up, not understanding when shit had gotten this crazy.

If anything, she had known that there was a level of craziness to Kaia Seto, and even when she said he was her mate, which was a complete lie, she had known that he was the devil himself and he was the devil that could get the work done.

But right now Kim Rania was shocked, and that wasn’t something that happened frequently. This was no longer about the hope for a better family. This wasn’t about the life they had tried to make real.

This wasn’t about the bonds they had tried to keep with the two men, but the fact that the admission was so loud in its silence was driving them nuts.

"Since when?" Jihoon asked, clearly not imagining a world in which Han Seong and Kaia Seto were siblings or even family, and much less twins. There was just no way the two had been born of the same woman. It was incredulous to them.

"Maybe Han was threatened. You saw it, he had been different even when Kaia talked about his brother.

"Maybe Kaia had used magic to do something," Chang Wook tried to reason but the longer they thought back to the interactions between Kaia and Han.

However little and subtle they had been, they realized that Kaia had never once threatened Han Seong. He hadn’t even tried to say anything that would rile Han up.

If anything, Kaia had always conversed with the rest of the misfits, making sure not to say shit to Han that could upset him.

It was like Kaia was a violent tornado around everyone including Rania, but when it came to Han Seong, Kaia was walking on eggshells. It was like he was scared he would destroy the little bond and trust that existed between him and his brother.

It all didn’t seem believable.

No one would ever believe that the kind high priest of the Valley of the Whites would be the same man who was born with the king of madness and humanity’s greatest evil. Surely there had to be a mistake, right?

"Wow, talk of surprises. This has to carry the day other than me realizing that Yanna bitch was the vampire king’s daughter. This shit is crazy. Han Seong and Kaia Seto?

"Maybe I am in hell," Daehyun added as he looked at Kaia and Han. They looked nothing alike. They didn’t even have the slightest shred of familiarity between them.

They looked like strangers and they looked like they had been living completely different lives. Of course, they had. It wasn’t daily that they interacted with each other.

Worlds apart and world united, this had to be the greatest surprise that the misfits had to have ever heard in their whole lives. Even Odelia was standing there with her paw on the floor.

This was unbelievable.

Oh, but it could have been easy to claim that it was a lie, if it had come from Kaia, but Kaia hadn’t made the admission.

Judging by the face Kaia was wearing right now. He hadn’t expected that Han Seong would be the first one to claim their bond in front of the world.

Kaia had known that his brother despised him for years and for the history they shared, but even from a distance he had been hoping that his brother loved him. Right now, he wasn’t sure of anything.

"We have a mission to get back to," Kaia said, trying to get out of the emotional moment and Han looked at him understandingly.

His brother had always been emotionally distant. Fate had scarred Kaia in more than one way, and he had embraced it. He had embraced his brokenness, and the two beasts inside of him.

Kaia had been living a terrible life so his brother would live a good life on the other side of the world they shared. He had kept his distance and at the same time, he had been close.

"Hold on, what?" Odelia spoke this time, not sure if they could even process the fact that Han Seong had admitted to being the psycho of Psycho’s brother. It was crazy how life had fed them the worst of realities.

They had been thinking they had the worst hand of fate but looking at the two Seto brothers, they knew that maybe the universe was just a bitch to everyone else for no reason.

Maybe there was a way out of this, but what could that be, and did they really want to pretend like they did love the fact that they met someone that Kaiba Seto finally cared about earnestly and without expecting anything?

"He’s right. We need to get to Incayona and they need to go to the vampire king and fuck him up. Maybe he will know a thing or two after they are attacked.

"Come along, the sun is almost going down—" Han said rushedly and Chang Wook looked at him like he was insane. This man was really trying to avoid the subject that the both of them had introduced.

They all hadn’t ever been over the shock of what had just happened right now and he was moving on that fast? Wow. But then what was Han supposed to do? Act fiddle just because his older brother was here to take care of him?

He wasn’t even sure what Kaia Seto was really doing on the Selma right now and much less Obren.

Han Knew his brother better than anyone and if Kaia Showing up had just been about their sibling bond, Han could have not been here going on a hard mission.

Kaia would have done everything to rile Han up to the pit that the only print that Han would have been left with was to stay back home and avoid the nagging of his older brother.

They had the same powers but the older one had the curse of the beasts, two for that matter and he wouldn’t have allowed Han Seong into the battlefield. It was something Han knew so well.

However, right now, here with the team, Han wasn’t going to ask his brother what Kaia was really back this time. It had to be more than the game of mates that Kaia and Rania were playing.

There really had to be something else at play right now.

That much was obvious to them.

"You wanted to portal, remember?"
