Chapter 203: A Win, But Was It Really?

[JIHOON]

"And what about Incayon?"

"That should not be your worry right now Incayon made the choice to side with Rania and she is getting weird ass allies right now. We must defend our home,’’ Daehyun said and Jihon looked at Yanna, once again realizing just how much he hated the woman before him.

Goddess, he wanted her dead. He could see that this was Yanna’s doing and he had to make sure that Calindra didn’t bow to her, but would he be able to work that out? The hybrids that Yanna had tagged along with were not just any hybrids.

They followed the command for their leader which was something that even the crazies could tell was dangerous.

The hybrids only ever listened to her and while they were here in the dungeons bonding, there was no telling what kind of damage had already been done to Calindra out there.

The woman had steered it all, but was it to be blamed on Jihoon’s naivety or slow response? But then that couldn’t be, because Jihoon may have been a slowpoke when it came to realizing his bond with Rania, but he had always had a good pack.

He had always been a good leader and warriors and if Yanna was thinking of taking him down, then she had to prepare and prepare well, because he wasn’t going to go down without a fight.

"I could kill you right now," Jihoon warned as he looked at Yanna who was just smiling creepily at him. This woman was fifty shades of fucked up and no one was ever going to make Jihoon believe otherwise.

It was something that he wanted to be rid of and at the same time, he wanted to make sure that it didn’t happen again. If Calindra fell, then Obren pretty much lost its greatest defense against Incayon.

But was that even an issue at the moment when the only thing that Icayon wanted was to take out Calindra?

Dalrae’s call for war hadn’t been a call for war exactly, she had sent word that she was coming for Calindra. She had declared war and had warned them in advance. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Maybe because she was giving them time to evacuate the woman and children so the able-bodied men would stay and defend Calindra.

But even then Jihoon hadn’t done any such thing. He had been so efficient about their defenses which was right within the capabilities of Calindra. However, the allies that Daehyn had talked about, made them look like kids themselves.

So if there was a time for Jihoon to make a decision, it had to be right now, and in this moment.

"But you won’t because if you do, then you won’t know where your mom and dad have been hidden. I knew I needed to find a good reason to make you submit. So what is it going to be?

"Will you join me and fight for me against Rania or will you choose the woman the goddess gave you, and lose your parents? Time is ticking," Yanna said, dropping the facade she had been having for the last few minutes.

It was all fun and games toying with Jihoon, but she needed to be out of the dungeons. She was a hybrid, and silver would have a definite effect on her. The sooner that she got out of there, the sooner she could change and the sooner she could get on with her battles.

The Calindra army was really what she wanted.

If Jihoon was going to give them to her easily, then she would be able to fight against Incayon, but right now it was obvious that Jihoon wasn’t going to change his mind and lend Yanna the warriors.

And that’s why she had taken the necessary steps to make sure that the alpha gave her what she wanted.

"Yeah right, maybe you should get your facts straight. My parents were never in Calindra to begin with. My parents were never close enough for the moment I saw you in the festival.

"Surely you didn’t think I could be here talking easily with you when our fragile ones were you there, no?

"If you want Calindra you’ll have to work a little harder than that, Yanna," Jihoon said with spite and disappointment in his voice so clear that Yanna looked at the man before her and wondered what was happening right now.

She had made sure to tell her people to kidnap the Parks, but who had they kidnapped if it wasn’t the Parks? What the hell was going on in this shit hole, and why was she the last one to know?

"You really think I’m bluffing?" Yanna asked and Daehyun looked between his alpha and the former luna. He could see two psychos and couldn’t tell who was fucking with the other.

He had seen hybrids out there and as much as he wanted to believe that Calindra was holding the fort, he just wasn’t sure how long it would take before Yanna’s warriors overpowered them.

"No, I know you’re not bluffing, just the same way you kidnapped my best friend and let him go. I’m assuming it was to announce your grand return, but it didn’t really work out well for you, did it?

"That’s why you came here yourself, to see whether Daehyun had told me that he had seen you and that you had threatened him, no? I saw you that day, and was thinking you were a figment of my imagination.

"But when my brother came back smelling like your filth, I knew that you were back, and it was just a matter of time. You might want to check in with you oh-so-powerful hybrid warriors.

"Who knows, they might need their leader the most in this time of need," Jihoon said and Yanna looked at him, wondering what the fuck was going on.

The confidence in Jihoon’s voice was messing with her, and having known the man for years, she knew that he wouldn’t have been that confident if he didn’t have what he was talking about; the upper hand.

That was thwarting her plans on so many fonts, but was it enough right now? Would she give up? She had come this far, surely she wouldn’t stop until she got what she had come for, right?

"Bold of you to think you can win this time, when your mate is coming for you and not in the way you would like," Yanna said angrily. She knew that the only way to cripple Kim Rania was to get to Jihoon.

But if the man wasn’t even going to be fooled by her right now, what the hell was she supposed to do then? How was he supposed to cope this time? Oh the horrors that waited for her if Jihoon wasn’t on her side were so much, but she had to figure out a way.

She wasn’t going to let Kim Rania win.

"Alpha, we managed to get them all just like you said," a warrior rushed to the dungeon excitedly as he looked at his alpha. He looked proud even though they had lost some of them. But then in war, they had to be with clear minds, otherwise, they would all perish.

"Perfect. Call for the assembly."
