"Oh great, thank you very much now. Can you please follow the exit of Incayon and never come back? Pretty please?" Dalrae said and Rani sighed.

This was going to be harder than she had imagined, but then surely she didn’t expect that they would be embracing the man who had come to their gates feeding on a live bunny.

The sight itself was haunting to Chang Wook and that made him want to be more protective of his little sister. Their parents couldn’t do shit, so he had to be the one for her.

"What is all the commotion about?" Luna Kim said as he came towards the group. But they instantly stopped talking and whining.

Instead, all their faces conformed to blank deadly faces, even as her husband came along. It was like the misfits had taken a break from hating on Kaia, and decided to channel their focus on the duo that had just shown up.

Once again, Rania could smell the spite from a distance. She had imagined the morning would be good, but it kept getting worse.

Maybe there would come a time when they would be done with the tension and be nicer to Kaia, right? But then the man was also strange.

He could get what he wanted and even then, he hadn’t tried to use his powers on anyone in Incayon, and they all knew it wasn’t because he was holding back. Maybe that was something worth noting, right?

"What is happening here, Rani?" Luna Kim asked and before Rani could say a word, Kaia spoke, stunning everyone.

"She’s not your daughter, no? You disowned and embarrassed her in front of everyone, so I don’t exactly see what you are doing here. If anything you and your goddamn husband shouldn’t even be in this pack house.

"Now I’ll say this just once, Hyejin-a. There is a shelter on the southern side of the pack. Get whatever you can carry, and take your husband with you there. You are not welcome in this place.

"I know my beautiful butterfly won’t send you away, but you have done more damage than you can imagine," Kaia said, his voice so cold that the five idiots from earlier just watched in silence as they looked at the man who had been trying to buy their favor just a few seconds ago.

He was different and was very protective of Kim Rania.

This was a beautiful sight to the idiots because at least they were sure that he would protect her, but was one show of protection enough for them to really trust Kaia completely? Of course not, but this was just a trial for them all. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"You have no right here, Seto. this is not your place," Alpha Kim said, making Dalrae step forward, ready to give the Luna a piece of her mind, but Oshita hello her back.

He knew how angry the misfits were because of the woman and they were hoping for ways that wouldn’t be filled with violence.

It was just a wish, but would it ever come true for them?

"For a man who is incapable of defending his children from the realm and shielding them from the pain that you all engineered, you sure have a mouth on you, Byungho. I shouldn’t have been able to make my way into the compound.

"I shouldn’t have had easy access to this space, but you didn’t do shit, and here I am. I shouldn’t have been allowed in because the law demands that he alphas project their own, whether retired or not.

"And yet here you are, retired and childless according to your history with those who are to be important to you. You should have stopped me from the beginning, challenged me for her, and protected her, but instead, you didn’t.

"You let her friends defend her with their lives, like she was the girl without parents. You are pathetic, in so many ways it’s gotten disgusting. Now I’ll say this just once, and the next time I won’t be as kind.

"Leave the pack house and don’t even look back," Kaia said and the alpha just stared at him blankly, like he was sure that there was nothing Kaia would do for them or to them.

Maybe he was counting on the possibility that Kaia would shift sides and try to make things better for them, but Kaia Seto was not on anyone ’s side other than Rania’s.

"You have n right to do that," the alpha argued but would Kaia Seto give them a chance and try to listen to them?

Would their words have any impact on Kaia?

Would it make things any better?

Would he leave just because they were claiming he wasn’t welcome here? Oh, the horrors of all that was to unfold.

"I now understand why they said birds of a feather stick together. As your reigning alpha’s mate, I have every right. I could banish you, and even make your lives worse than the stupid secrets you are hiding in. Don’t try to mess with her, in any way.

"So will you do it, or do I have to take you out myself? Trust me, I would very much like to do that, but I have to make sure I’m not misunderstood by the very people I seek to protect.

"Now go," Kaia said a second time and the alpha and his wife stepped back in silence like they were still obsessing about what was happening.

Kaia Seto being their son-in-law wasn’t what they had imagined and they knew how unusual that was.

This man wasn’t to be trusted, he wasn’t to be believed in any way whatsoever, but then this man was here right now like he was home and that was the one thing that no one didn’t understand except for Rania who had held the gates for him.

"Hold on. What the fuck o you mean by her m—" Luna Kim began but Kaia was done.

"I. Said. Leave."
