Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 191: Which Version of Hell Was This? [1]
[RANIA]
"That bastard," Chang Wook said when he and Han found themselves back in the hall.
Their friends were still there, wondering about what they would eat. They hadn’t told the Incayon wolves that Kaia was at the gates because they didn’t want their people worrying and the same warning had gone to the warriors.
It was a long day already and if they panicked even more, there would be nothing for them to fight for. Because they would all be long dead anyway.
"I can’t believe he sent us away like that. The next time I catch him, I’ll kick that little butt of his. Stupid mannerless kid with no sense," Han whined as he paced in the room.
He was so bothered, but unlike everyone, he wasn’t bothered because Kaia had sent them back to the hall and didn’t wait for them to ask any questions.
That in itself was weird but then they all chose to ignore it, because they figured that Han Seong being the high priest was so used to being the one to create portals and not the other way.
"He said he wants Rania and he insisted that we let her sleep. He is a weird guy," Chang Wook said to the tired team.
"Then let’s go eat. We can wait and see what he wants later. Besides, we don’t stand a chance against him anyway,’’ Han Seong said, intentionally leaving out the part where Kaia had admitted to taking out the battalion that had been sent to come at them.
It was unbelievable and yet at the same time, Han Seong knew that Kaia could do that. Sure, they had no reason to trust the man, but there was something about his insistence on them letting Rania have her beauty sleep that resonated with them all.
Chang Wook also realized that maybe it wasn’t the time to tell their friends what Kaia had said. It would give them a false sense of comradery with Kaia and that was easily the most dangerous thing that any of them could have done right now anyway.
"I’ll go check on Rania," Odelia siad with a tone of finality, and they all just nodded.
Odelia was impervious to magic, so she didn’t need to even consult Chang Wook before she would go into Rania’s room. She could walk in there like it was just another day and for that she was grateful for her abilities.
"Alright, let’s get going then," Darae said to the misfits who graciously agreed to follow her to the Incayon kitchens. They really were hungry.

As Odelia made her way to Rania’s bedroom, she couldn’t help the feeling that Kaia showing up was no coincidence.
Kaia was a bastard who never was considerate of anyone.
However, as Odelia had listened to the conversation between Kaia and the other two misfits, she had realized that Kaia cared, which was even strange because he cared about Kim Rania, a woman he had no reason to interact with whatsoever.
There was just nothing that Odelia could think of to explain the possible relationship between Kaia Seto and Kim Rania. It all was confusing and challenging, because while they may have both been psychos, Rania’s psycho tendencies were explainable, unlike Kaia’s tendencies.
’Maybe she called him for help, right?’ Odelia thought to herself, but even that didn’t seem good enough for Kaia to come to them and be peaceful while at it. It was almost like there was something that they all didn’t know.
Something that only Kaia knew but a part of Odelia was willing to bank on Kaia showing up because of Rania and no one else.
"He came?" was the first thing Odelia heard when she walked into Rania’s room. It was unexpected, given she was supposed to be sleeping and they all had been trying to give her the space to rest.
"You’re awake... Wait, what? Who came?" Odelia asked, the realization dawning her too fast. Of course, her hunch had been right, but if ever there was a time when Odelia wished that her hunch was wrong, was this moment right here?
She wished that Rania hadn’t just indirectly confirmed that she knew Set and that the man at the gates was of her doing.
"Rani—"
"He came for me. I must go see him," Rania said, getting up instantly and putting on a sweater since it was cold outside.
She was in a hurry and if Odelia didn’t know anything about Rani, she could have assumed that Kim Rania was excited to meet the devil of the realm. But wasn’t that the truth anyway? She was in a hurry for him.
She had woken up because of his magic.
She hadn’t managed to get enough rest, but if he was out there, she was going to see him.
"No Rani, he’s dangerous—" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"You know how we are both sure you won’t hurt me? The same goes for him. E is not here to cause trouble. He is here because he promised he would tell... Y’know what?
"Come along, you’ll see for yourself that he is harmless to me," Rania said, throwing Odelia a cardigan from her closet before she walked out the door, making Odelia wonder what the fuck was going on.
The last time she had seen Kim Rania this excited was when she had been told that Dalrae was her chosen beta and that the council had approved Dalrae. But right now, she was unpredictable.
So defeatedly, Odelia rushed after the excited woman, making sure to follow her closely lest chaos begins on why Kim Rania was on her heels and the troll was after her. Then again, just like Rani had said, they were allies, even if the allies she had were so unexpected.
"She’s awake and going to the gates. Come along, all of you," Odelia mind linked their group of friends who had just settled and were about to eat.
"I guess today is not the day we eat then," Oshita said sadly, but he did leave everything to go meet with Odelia and the rest at the gates.
They weren’t sure of what to expect, but when they got to the gates, and saw a relaxed Rani and a smiling Kaia, they could simply explain that they were fucked beyond what they could explain.
No amount of words in the realm could ever explain what the fuck had happened and why the hell they were seeing this right now.
"You called them?" Rania asked, excitedly as she looked at Odelia who was wearing a blank face like the rest of the misfits. They were having their guards high up and then there was KimmRania, smiling at the monster everyone was weary of.
"Hold on. He cleaned up???" Chang Wook asked the man that got the attention of the team, who looked cleaner than earlier.
If anything he was wearing different clothes and smelled like the earth after a rain.
He looked nothing like the bloodied man who had a weird bunny crying for help earlier. If anything, he looked normal. Way too normal for him to even be Kaia Seto. What the fuck was happening here right now?
"My beautiful butterfly, you must be weary from the war. I’m sorry I came late," Kaia apologized earnestly before he continued.
"They didn’t go back home though. I burnt them all, so no one will bother you."
"Am I in hell?"
