Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 179: Let’s Roll The Dice
[RANIA]
"Hold on. I smell Calindra. Don’t tell me that they sent someone to feed their Alpha’s obsession with you, Rani," Odelia suddenly said, and Rania just par her arm gently.
She knew where this was headed and she knew that Odelia wouldn’t think twice before hurling the Calindra wolf through to the westside.
Odelia had a deep hate and great spire for everything Calindra and even more, their alpha for everything that Kim Rania had gone through, and right now, the wolf that was when was definitely going to get it from her.
"He’s the beta. He’s here for me," Rani said but her friends weren’t buying the bullshit.
It just didn’t make any sense whatsoever for an alpha who had caused her so much pain to suddenly grow a conscience and send someone to defend her. It was impossible, especially for the shithead they had known Park Jihoon to be.
Maybe this was an illusion but whatever it was, Odelia was determined to snuff him out and make an example of him.
"Yeah right. I’m betting he’s here to pretend to be your loyal servant," Oshita said, his tone going from the one that was happy and excited about food to a cold voice that he always used with enemies.
He, just like Kim Rania’s team of misfits, was always triggered by Park Jihoon. They wanted to make a lesson out of him and honestly, they had been panini git for so many years.
All Rania had to do was tell them when they could go to Calindra and beat the crap out of that alpha and they would gladly go without considering the consequences.
That didn’t matter to them. What mattered was that they had avenged their Rania. That was all.
"I can split his head into two then," Odelia said while Han Seong cast a spell on Daehyun who was still reeling from the shock of seeing the most unexpected people rally up for Rania. He was never going to get over what had happened today.
It was just impossible because the cruelest misfits of the realm had come smiling for her.
There was definitely no way that Park Jihoon would ever compete with them and win.
And Daehyun could see the hate they had for him and everyone in Calindra. Oh, but Calindra was in even more trouble now, considering Dalrae had already told them to prepare because she had declared war on them, just three days ago.
This was something straight out of a folklore tale of unexpected events.
No one had ever imagined that there would come a day when the rogues would fight for Rania when the troll would love Rania, when the warlock would defend Rania, and even the day when Incayon would stand up for Rania.
It was just insane in all ways and frankly, Daehyun still thought he was dreaming. He was not sure that this was the truth he was seeing. It was crazy, really crazy, that much was certain of the chaos that had been ongoing here.
"No Odelia, he’s here to protect her. He knows she’s his Luna," Han Seong said and Odelia just stared at Daehyun like she needed more convincing.
"If he hurts her, can he kill him?" Odelia asked just to be sure, especially now that she could sense the disapproval of killing Daehyun. It was not what she had expected but then she had to give the man credit for coming and fighting alongside Kim Rania.
"He won’t hurt her. He’s been on her side for years. If he wanted to hurt her he would have tried, but he’s not here for that. His alpha doesn’t even know he’s here," Han Seong said and everyone turned to look at Daehyun who suddenly found an interest in the sky.
He figured that they would eventually know that he came of his own volition but he hadn’t expected it to be this soon. That was probably an encouraging reason for Odelia to do away with him. The poor man was in trouble with the misfits now, sigh.
"He what now?" Chang Wook asked as he looked at Daehyun who was smiling sheepishly. They had all bought his sincerity and Chang Wook had ranted about their appearance in Calindra without thinking.
They had proven to him that even they were aware that Kim Rania was their Luna. This man had preyed on Rania’s trust and he had made her blurt out the bond when he hadn’t even been sent by the dumb alpha.
"Great, I got more motivation to get my warriors to ride to Calindra and wipe that stupid ass alpha out," Dalrae said and the misfits looked at her like she had gone bonkers. Then again, wasn’t insanity something that was normal for them?
"Take me with you please, Dalrae. I’ll be good. I’ll even wear Incayon armor," Odelia said and Oshita volunteered too. Dalrae had been expecting them to say something along the lines of it being too soon for the warriors to match out to Calindra, but they were in support.
Whatever Jihoon had done to rile them up, clearly forgiveness was never going to be an option on the table.
"I will follow every rule you set too. I won’t complain about anything. Just please don’t leave me behind. I can’t miss a chance to bash his face into oblivion. Maybe we can smoke his face so he doesn’t get to live a normal life, right?
"Or we can kidnap him and put him in those caves that Odelia puts people in so they are mentally incapacitated by the time they make out where they are and choose to jump over the huge cliff next to her house, right?" Oshita said loudly.
He was trying to tell Daehyun that there was no way out for him and that the sooner Daehyun accepted that he was never going to go back home, the sooner he would be well.
Oshita was sending a silent warning to the Calindra alpha, the kind that could make someone go crazy, but what would Daehyun do with all the threats against him? Would he give in or would he stick to what he had come to do?
But even if he stuck to it, how was he supposed to protect Kim Rania when he was smoked out like his brother? Why the fuck had he even come to this band of misfits in the first place? Oh, but Daehyun was feeling terrible for himself.
"Or we can just make him our target practice for the battle. Let’s roll a dice and then the winner gets to choose the target spot. If I win I choose his head, right between his eyes. That is a beautiful spot for my arrow to make a show.
"I even have a silver gun I made while I lived with the humans. That should be enough to make the alpha surrender himself right?
"Or we could tie him up, and Han Seong can cast a spell on him to make him a ball of bones and we can play with him, yeah?" Chang Wook suggested and Oshita fist-bumped him and Dalrae. They both seemed to agree with that insane idea, but Han Seong wasn’t for it.
"Wait, why do I have to be the one to cast the spell? You are also a warlock, you can cast the spell—"
"You’re the high priest," the misfits said and Han Seong stared at them disbelievingly.
"Hey... Hold on," Daehyun said.
