Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 177: In Which Odelia Makes An Appearance

"What the fuck is that?" an Incayon warrior asked his friend who was already staring at the huge creature before them. Odelia looked scary and she was so different, but even then she had shown up to battle.

She had come for the one who had given her reason and she wasn’t going to let anyone hurt the one she loved the most. She would defend her, she would take the hits for her and she would make sure that anyone who tried harming her would die.

And just like that, the werewolf king found himself on yet another hit list, only that Odelia’s list was one with a timer. It was the list that everyone who had once been on it was probably turned to ashes by now.

She had stopped murdering years ago.

She had been retired and had resorted to scaring people, though the king had gotten her out of retirement, just like he had gotten so many people who were on Rania’s side out of retirement.

The Rania team may not have all been here by now, but Odelia, Chang Wook, and Dalrae were representing them either way. They would probably discuss this over some barbecue but until then. She was here, that was what mattered to Odelia.

"She’s the troll from the old times. Scary bitch whose only programming is to kill. If the king sent her here then we could as well fall back. There is no winning against an immortal creature that can’t be wounded.

"She can’t even feel pain," the warriors said among themselves and instinctively, they stepped back making sure to not be in her line of sight. Seeing her where was not expected so they obviously thought that the king had sent her.

It was the only possible explanation given that the king had made the bounty so large that even the retired assassins had taken up coming after Rania and her brother. That was how insane all of the king’s commands were.

This was easily the craziest thing that had ever happened to them. It was crazy in so many ways but Rani and her friends knew that help had finally come. She just hadn’t expected Odelia to come in her true form.

"Fuck, she’s going for alpha Rania. What if she kills the alpha?" an Incayon warrior wondered sadly.

They had all stepped forward to fight for Rania but now this right here was an opponent they couldn’t even fight. What the hell would they even do if they had to fight against Odelia? This beast would squash them easily and without thinking twice.

"Then we avenge her. Come let’s go fight for her. We owe her at least that much for the past nine years she’s suffered because of all of us," the warrior said, and soon enough all the remaining Incayon warriors abandoned their prey and rushed to make a wall around Rania.

It was something that Rania hadn’t expected and frankly, she was in shock when she saw the warriors assemble around her. Hell, Odelia herself was in shock at the sight.

No one had anticipated this, and even Alpha Kim, who was watching the battery from a distance, got up to see if this was really happening. It seemed like a long dream and one that had weird expectations, but then it was really happening.

The Incayon wolves had come forward to protect their alpha. They were defending her from the beast that could kill them and as Odelia watched the wall form around Rania, she paused to take in the sight for a moment.

She had come because she had heard the king’s declaration against her friends, and she along with the others was sure that Incayon was definitely going to give Rania up. She had come to defend Rania from everyone, including her people.

"Protect the alpha!!" Kylian said to the warriors and the wall grew thicker around Rania. He had known from the beginning that Kim Rani was wronged by many and was always on the side of Rania.

This right here was Kylian’s chance to show his unwavering loyalty to the true alpha of Incayon, alpha Rania.

"What?" Rania voiced, the shock evident in her eyes.

She hadn’t expected this honestly.

"They’re defending me?" Rani asked, the confusion still evident as she watched Dalrae and Chang Wook smile at her warmly.

These people had obviously made their choice and this time they weren’t protecting Rania because she was important to Dalrae, no.

They were defending her because she would have done the same for them. Because she had always defended them more than once and she had never asked for anything in return.

"No way," Jisung said as he watched the scene before whim.

Everyone knew that Odelia was undefeated since time immemorial and yet these warriors were ready to defend Rania even then. They knew that this was a sentence they wouldn’t ever survive and yet they still stood their ground.

"You people are crazy," Jisung said, his amusement so obvious. No one in their right mind would try what the Incayon wolves were attempting and yet the whole of the remaining Incayon warriors were here defending Rania.

Odelia looked at Rania, her eyes softening and a stray tear falling from her eyes. She had always wished for this for Rania from the moment she had met Chang Wook.

She had promised herself she would always defend Rania and while she was going to do that today, Odelia couldn’t help but be happy that Incayon was standing by Rania.

She didn’t care that there were so many people here, as she walked towards Rania, the smile on her beast’s face, the kind that Rania could see through. It was a warm smile, one that made Rania feel safer even though she was already safe with her warriors and her friends.

"Stay back!" Kylian said to Odelia who wasn’t even bothering with him but Rania stopped him.

"Lower your weapons. She won’t hurt me," Rania said, making Jisung and everyone else who didn’t know her relationship with the troll look at her like she had finally gone bonkers. Maybe rejection had forced her to do this, but what if, right?

"But alpha—"

"It’s okay, Kylian. You guys did well, thank you so much. Now let me through, she wouldn’t harm a hair on my head, you’ll see," Rania said, reassuring her warriors who were still skeptical. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

However, when they saw Dalrae nodding at them to make way for Rania, they agreed, but they didn’t change their stances, just in case Odelia tried something with their alpha.

As they made way for her and she walked to Odelia they realized that Odelia was also transforming into her human form.

The great beast was slowly shifting into the human version of her that many had probably interacted with but had never known to acknowledge as the raging deadly beast.

Paloma and her rogues came from the left border of Incayon, looking bloodied like they had been part of the war, just in time for them to see Odelia’s final transformation into a human.

"That was so cool, Odelia," Oshita gushed when he saw Odelia transform and Odelia just flipped her hair at Oshita so casually, making everyone stare with their jaws on the ground. They still couldn’t comprehend what was happening here right now, really and they couldn’t be blamed.

"They are willing to fight for you, my sweet Rani."
