Chapter 152: All For One, One For All

[INCAYON]

"I dare you to steal the royal seal from the crown king’s chambers," Rani said and her friends looked at her like she had gone bonkers.

They looked at her, while they tried to gauge what was going on in her head but just like every single day, they were left confused.

Dalrae who always understood Rania and her way of doing things was the first to react, making everyone know that something was fundamentally wrong. They had all come together for her, but none with the idea that they would lose Rani in the process.

"What the fuck do you mean to steal the royal seal? Dares aside, what the hell is going on in your mind, Rani?" Dalrae asked frustratedly. This wasn’t what she had had in mind when Rani had told her that she could be coming along to the festival.

Of course, when the festival had begun Dalrae had gone to the southern border and found Rania and Chang Wook waiting for her. They had looked like they were from some house together but that wasn’t even the issue.

Expectedly, Dalrae had assumed that Chang Wook had agreed to come for Rani’s protection. But here and now Lim Dalare wasn’t sure who needed to protect who from who at this point.

"It’s just a dare, Lim Lim. Besides, he has done worse before," Rani said and Odelia, who had agreed to the rules, looked like she was already regretting her decisions.

Odelia might have been a scary troll and a heartless one, but she valued this family. She valued them to the point that she would endanger herself just to keep them safe, but this right here wasn’t it.

This wasn’t the way to go, but who was supposed to explain that to Kim Rania anyway?

"I’ll do it," Oshita said, his tone making his friends know that there was no talking him out of this madness. It was risky, and that in itself could cause trouble between the factions, and the rogues of Altunia.

It was like they were putting their whole nation at great risk because of one thing that Kim Rania wanted.

But would it ever be worth it?

Was it just about stealing a damn seal?

What the hell was Rania’s endgame this time?

Oh, but they were confused and didn’t know how else to navigate this, so they watched and waited. For what, they weren’t sure, but at least it was safe to say that the lot of them was on the same page.

"Great. Get on with it then. The king will be at the festival until the festival ends. Which means you have less than a day to make that happen.

"I will be waiting for you here with the rest," Rani said excitedly like a kid who was about to go to a candy factory and that in itself was creepy as hell.

The woman had so many things that didn’t spell happiness for her and yet as she sat here around the bonfire with her friends, she looked like she was trying to live through the day.

Oh, Rani.

"I have a condition though," Oshita said and Rani glared at him, like she was ready to remind him that this was a dare and not some game they were all in. Then again, this was a dare that could get Oshita killed and even worse.

There were so many things worse than death in Obren and this team knew just how much. Maybe that was what Oshita was trying to avoid, but even then it didn’t make any sense to start with that.

"What is it?" Rani asked and Oshita just smiled at her.

"Tell me why you chose the royal seal of all things. I don’t mind stealing life forces for any of you, however dangerous it could get. But if I’m going on a mission I might never come back from, I need to know why," Oshita said and Rania just sighed.

"Oshita—"

"No, Rani. What do you want with the seal? You know we would accompany you to the pits of hell itself. I’ll even sing for us if the situation gets depressing, but I need to know why, Rani," Oshita insisted and Rani figured that there was no way out of this.

"I want to trigger a war. One that will force Seojoon to acknowledge everything he has done to the Obren wolves. I’m not seeking justice, I just want him to face the music. And I also want to teach Park Jihoon a lesson on loyalty.

"Oh and while at it, I want to turn Nathaniel against his only daughter as retribution for what Yanna did to me all those years.

"Now that you know what I want to do, will you go get the seal or not?" Rania said as her friends kept on smiling with every word that came out of her mouth.

She was technically planning an uprising and instead of that worrying her friends, they looked at her like this was the sanest thing that could have ever happened.

"I volunteer to accompany Oshita," Chang Wook rushed out like this was the perfect opportunity for him. It wasn’t hard to tell that he hated Seojoon and wanted his downfall.

Besides, this was his chance to make sure that when they were done, his sister didn’t remain with all that anger in her. And maybe then, he would find the chance to tell Rania about their sibling bond, right?

"Let’s blow some things along the way. I wanna join too," Dalrae said as everyone looked at her like this was getting even worse. But was it or was this the perfect moment for them to fuck up the damn kingdom?

"I will tag along too. Besides Seojoon knows he can’t fuck with me, or my people. And if he finds me there, he can’t even claim that what we would be doing will be punishable by death. I’m the perfect insurance," Paloma added excitedly.

Either the whole team had gone bonkers or just wanted to cause some chaos in Obren.

After all, Rani’s banishment of ten years never really did sit well with any of them. Their little dysfunctional family had been ripped apart and they were going to fight back and make it whole again.

"I’ll stay with Rani and make sure she doesn’t go hunting for Yanna, at least until the festival comes to a close," the Odelia troll said and they all just nodded in agreement.

What had begun as a punishment for Oshita had somehow ended up being a team thing and Rania couldn’t help but be thankful for how lucky she was to have such a supportive family.

She had always been with Dalrae, but having more people join her and want to fight her wars with her, made her feel like she belonged somewhere.

Her parents may have disowned her, but at least that didn’t take away the little family she had made for herself. That was all she needed at this moment anyway.

"So when do we leave?" Oshita asked as he looked at the excited lot. They were crazy but that wasn’t new to them anyway.

"Dalrae and Paloma are staying behind. They are reigning alphas and while that means nothing to us, they might be sought anytime in the festival but the king and I don’t want anyone suspecting what we are up to.

"That leaves Oshita and Chang Wook. You two be careful. I’d much rather have you back alive and bruised than dead because I don’t know what I would do if I lost the both of you, however much of a madhouse we all make," Rani said, marveling at the sight before her. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

She hadn’t expected anything else, and that was just what she had grown to learn with this little group.

They would always walk on fire for each other no matter what the consequences were, and right now, Oshita and Chang Wook were to go out there alone, while the rest of the team tried to make the situation be a little normal.

But would it really?

"As much as I want to complain, Rani has a point. Han Seong made us all a private mind link. We will use that to communicate.

"If anything happens, don’t hesitate to call for backup alright?" Paloma said and Oshita just gave her a thumbs up, while Chang Wook hugged Rani.

"We’ll be going then. This should be fun," Chang Wook said when he pulled back from the hug.
