"But I thought we had something special... You’re breaking my heart," Oshita said, the sincerity in his voice making it almost believable that he had Rania had a thing going.

Anyone who didn’t know the two of them could have assumed that the man was actually heartbroken by Rania, but then it was just another day of Oshita being Oshita. He could sense the tension in the gathering and he wanted to lighten the mood.

They all knew goodbyes were not foreign to be easy but they had to say their goodbyes for the sake of Rani. This wasn’t the final goodbye but it felt like their second chance at a life that would be better.

"Oh Oshita, I will miss you too, but if you keep being a wuss about it, I might just consider taking you with me to the regular humans. I know you would like that very much or wouldn’t you?" Rania said with a low chuckle and Oshita gulped.

He didn’t want to live like a regular human at all, so he figured that it was his cue to shut up and listen. They were all having so many thoughts right now but the dominant one was the fact that Rania was going to a realm where she was nothing.

Granted, Chang Wook would help her cope there, but it was a little too much. It hurt that the home she had known had just abandoned her for sometime there she had every right to do.

"You two be careful out there alright?" Paloma said and Rania just nodded. Of course, she knew they would be able to take care of themselves, but there were instances when she felt like this was just them taking a huge leap of faith.

Maybe that was what it was, but then with her big banishment from home, Rania knew she didn thave much of a choice right now. She just hoped that everyone in the wild would be alright.

"The same applies to the four of you. Ten years will pass by in no time, so don’t worry about it. Besides, I proclaim that I’d show up at the border near Aulani every three months. That should be enough, right?

"At least we can go on a hunt when that time comes, right Odelia?" Rani said and the troll pretended to snore, though she was worried about Rani.

She wished the woman would stay, but she also knew that there were signs the universe had in play, and no matter what they did, they wouldn’t be able to change their fates. They just had to wait it all out anyway.

"You’ll miss me bothering you when I leave," Rani said and Odelia just snorted.

"I can always come to visit when I want to see you, remember I can shift into my human form like right now, yeah?" Odelia said and Rani just rolled her eyes at her.

Of course, they could all find ways to be together. Just because Rani was leaving didn’t mean that they wouldn’t come and meet her again.

Besides, now that they knew of the meet every three months, they could use it as a chance to come and talk about what happened in the three months. And that was also a good time for them to catch up with each other, right?

"Well then, I’m sleepy. I’ll get some rest first. I feel like my head is about to explode and my neck hurts, not to mention I feel like someone is punching my insides. Maybe I’ve been too active and with no food in me.

"... No. I don’t mean you feed me now you," Rani said when she noticed Han Seong had cast a spell that brought her food a little too close to her nose. He was never one to use his magic but for Rani, Han Seong would do whatever it took.

He didn’t care who felt bad or wronged, because as long as Kim Rania was okay, he would be fine too.

"I mean I will sleep and then eat later, thank you, Han," Rania said and everyone burst out laughing, they were all suckers for the little girl in their midst but they wouldn’t have it any way.

They had promised to be Rania’s family, almost like they knew there would come a time when the Kims would disown their own child. It was crazy but Rania herself was a wild one so it was quite difficult to tell who was who.

"Alright, Rani. Get some rest, we will watch over you till morning," Plaoma said and Rania just nodded even though she had a feeling that by mistake they all would have gone and she would be alone with Chang Wook.

It was a comforting thought, because even then she wouldn’t be alone.

"Night night dearies," Rania said before she lay her head on the pillar Chang Wook had brought and fell asleep instantly, leaving behind her worried friends.

"It’s him again," Chang Wook said after a while when they were finally sure Kim Rania had fallen dead asleep. She looked peaceful in her sleep even though they knew it was just a matter of time before her pain made her feel like her world was crashing on her.

This wasn’t something they could shake off and pretend that didn’t matter.

Kim Rania was an alpha wolf and had been born one so the was just no way that they would sit there and pretend ilke the horrors of the darn fates weren’t descending on their own friend, and the worst part of it all as that they all had no valid options for her this time, and it hurt so bad.

"Someone punching her insides? It’s her stupid mate again and I swear I will go back there and kick his ass till kingdom come," Chang said and they just looked at him worriedly.

They all knew what this was about and as much as they loved Rani, they couldn’t tell her that her body was reacting to the banishment and more than anything, her wolf was crying out in pain for her mate who didn’t even know he was her mate. It was driving them crazy.

"They have interacted more times than I have seen Rani and yet they never knew they were mates. What the hell was even that?" Paloma said angrily as she watched Rania fidgeting in her sleep.

She wanted to take her pain away, but this was one kind of pain no one could help her with, not even Han Seong and his magic of the old times. It is like they could only in a hotel where shit got better for rain, even though none of this was going to be any better.

"There isn’t much we can do for her. She’s sleeping now, but the further she stays away from Obren she will be a little better. That is all we can hope for because she’s an alpha.

"If only I could drag him and bring him here and make him see the truth he has been blind to all this while," Han Seong said sadly and they all couldn’t help but agree with him.

Everything could have been fixed, but then it would mean that they disrupted the current order of things and that was very sicky, especially with all that had just happened. And it would also be a little hard to explain to the crowd.
