Chapter 104: Her Rowdy Protectors

[RANIA]

"Y’know what, you’re right. We can help her sleep... forever!" the wolf cheered on and Oshita glared at him angrily.

It was one thing to be mouthy about the sins that Rania had committed, and another thing to try and threaten the life of the young Kim when they were there.

He was a wolf in his mid-twenties, a wolf who probably didn’t even know what his future looked like, or even the burdens that came with being a leader.

Paloma, who was staring and glaring at the group that had surrounded them, looked at the tired Rania silently sleeping on Oshita’s back, before she looked at Han who was staring at the wolves with a bored face.

Han Seong looked like he was ready to blast them into the future and more than anything, he looked like he wanted to kick their asses real bad.

Oh, but he was tempted to do so much to these stupid wolves, but he had to wait and see what the suddenly brave wolves were going to do rto Rania, right? Well, Paloma wasn’t going to wait for someone to make another threat anyway.

"I dare you to say that again," Paloma said to the wolf who was not even scared of her. He looked like he was ready to fight Paloma if that was the only way to get to Rania and it wasn’t confronting at all.

Then again, Paloma wasn’t even worried for herself, so if this wolf wanted a fight, then she would give him one.

For Rania she would do whatever it took to keep the woman safe.

Rania was alert though like she was waiting for the sign to ruin anyone who tried to ruin her friends. She maybe have been tired, but she was an effective warrior even then.

"I, Ardath, said and will say it again. If the woman wants to sleep, then we can send her to her maker. She killed our luna after all, didn’t she?" Ardath said and Paloma twisted his arm before punching him in the throat making Ardath loosen up for a moment.

He had been careless and made a stupid statement, so it was only right that he paid the price, no? Paloma looked at Ardath, the wolf who had the scent that all Calindra wolves carried all over. It was the one scent that triggered Paloma in so many ways.

"Oh you didn’t have to do that... let’s kill them all and take the new rogue a lesson shall we!" Ardath shouted at the Obren wolves who cheered and began rushing to the trio at the centre.

Oshita looked at them, before he gently put a sleepy Rania to the ground.

Paloma looked at Oshita like the man was insane for what he was doing. But then again Oshita couldn’t leave Paloma and Han Seong to fight the wolves alone.

It would be an unfair girl and they all knew Rania would feel guilty for the rest of her life if anything happened to her friends and she had just disappeared and left them there. The wolves who had come had come for one thing and that was the murder of Rania.

It was pretty simple.

They wanted to take her life in exchange for the life of Yanna and as dangerous as that was, the crown couldn’t do anything, because if they covered Rania and did with her as they wanted, then it would be dismissed like a wolf defending their home form rogues, which was unfortunately what Kim Rania was right now.

She didn’t even have family anymore and that wasn’t fair.

"Odelia, help," Rania whispered roughly as she watched her friends fighting the wolves. They had her in the middle and were defending from all sides. Rania wanted to get up and fight but this time, her body was too weak.

Even if she wanted to, even if her wolf wanted to, there was just no way they would be against these people. The three of them were strong, but the tens of werewolves coming at them at the same time, screamed chaos and Rania hated that.

She didn’t want to see her friends slaughtered just because she didn’t have the strength to get up. She was truly at her weakest.

A few minutes later, an enraged Odelia troll showed up, wading through the wolves like she was not in the mood to fight them. She was throwing them like they are light children and growled so loudly, that she reminded them that she was all they had heard of and never got to see.

The troll that had been terrorizing him in the night. And more than anything, the troll that was daring them to hurt her Kim Rania. Frankly, Rania had the weirdest of allies, but then they were effective, weren’t they?

"Not her!" Odelia growled when Ardath suddenly passed the defenses and went to Rania. He would have hurt Rania, if Odelia hadn’t shown up in time to swing the wolf from Rania.

She was holding the wolf with his legs and as Rania looked at Odelia’s smirk, Rania knew that the woman was going to have the fun of her life.

And so the troll smacked Ardath’s body on the ground one too many times like she was sending a message to the other wolves. It was so brutal that all the wolves who had been fighting the trio had taken a pause to see one of their own be thrown around like some piece of hair.

Oh, but Odelia was loving the show. She didn’t stop, even when the wolves started scattering. She didn’t stop, even when the wolf was long dead and Odelia didn’t stop, until she could see that all of the wolf’s bones were broken. Oh, but she loved the sight before her.

"You should have called me sooner," Odelia said to Rania, who signed the troll. She could only facepalm while the troll looked at her like a sister mad at the younger sister for not calling out for help.

"Well, I didn’t know I couldn’t get up y’know? Well until Oshita put me on the ground anyway. So... what’s up Odelia," Rania said even though she could tell that Odelia was pissed at her.

The frown on the troll’s face reminded Rania of the frown that Dalrae had when Rania left Incayong officially. It was the frown of disbelief and a disputed one too.

"Oh come on, I did call you, didn’t I?"

"After they had all the fun," Odelia pouted and Oshita looked at the troll, like this was something else.

"Damn girl you really have quite the range of friends. Who are you going to shock us with this time?" Oshita said and Paloma and Han Seong just looked at Oshita like he had grown an extra head.

"Let’s get you to those borders, Rani," Odelia said, as she picked up Rania in her arms and signaled the trio to follow her.

They didn’t even complain as they watched the huge troll carry Rania like a baby, and Rania wasn’t even complaining. Then again, why would Rani complain when she had her friends, right? Besides, it wasn’t like she was going to stay away from Obren forever anyway.

Her fate was here, and so were her destiny and her mate.

She just needed to get away for a moment.
