Chapter 103: You’ll Have To Go Through Me

[RANIA]

"I wanna sleep for an hour or two," Rania said, but right before she could lay her head on the ground, right before she could even shift into her white wolf which could give her warmth, someone showed up, someone Rania hadn’t expected, ever.

"You don’t get to give up after coming this far. Come on little warrior, I’ll walk you to the borders, Rani," the person said and Rania just ignored them. She really wasn’t in the mood to fight anyone and the fact that she was in her most vulnerable state made her a walking target.

In this case, she was a tired target and her hunters were sniffing around for her.

"Leave me be," Rania insisted and the person just sighed.

"In that case, let it be known that I was kind and you refused to listen," the voice said and Rania just showed her tongue which was a habit she had developed over the years when she was with people she felt safe with.

Whoever had come for her may have been the most unexpected, but he was one of the few that Rania would let drag her to hell and she wouldn’t even complain.

"Alright, you heard her. Carry her."

"Come on man, what the hell... anyway, that’s a free trip for me," Rania said, instantly falling asleep as one of them carried her and walked her in the direction of the borders.

"Do we really have to do this?"

"You know we have to, Oshita. She has already sacrificed too much for this stupid land. If she’s heavy, he can carry her with his magic, or we can take turns carrying her.

"I may have Altunia on my shoulders, but for her, I would do anything," Paloma said and then let out a chuckle. They knew Oshita was worried about what they were doing, and more importantly, he was worried for himself.

The last time he and Rania had met, he had been hired by Nathaniel to beat the hell out of Kim Rania.

He had left her wonder and tried to heal her then, but that sight had stayed with Oshita. The worst part of all this was the simple fact that Oshita already knew Kim Rania had quite a long memory on her.

She would never forgive unless she really understood what was happening.

Oshita was right to be worried sick, because the woman he was currently carrying may have been tired, but her white wolf wasn’t. She was just too lazy to shift and wouldn’t hesitate to protect her human. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"Well at least this time she isn’t hurt," Oshita signed defeatedly as he carried Rania on his back.

He had tried to carry her like a cuddly baby, which Paloma and Han had told him he wouldn’t be able to do for long, but he had insisted.

Well, he finally figured that a piggyback was the only way out of this, and if he got tired, Han Seong was more than willing to use his magic for the child of Obren, a kid abandoned by her people when she ended them the most.

Maybe there would be changes in the future, but did it seem like a future rain wasn’t going to be accepted?

"Tell me about it. And by the way, I smell more wolves coming in our direction. They are surrounding us," Oshita said casually like he wasn’t carrying a time-ticking bomb.

Rania right now didn’t care about anything because she was in safe hands.

They would fight and kill for her. Hell, they would burn Obren to crisp for her and Dalrae would join them too, if that was what Rania wanted. She was never going to be alone with these people and that was also why they didn’t mind that they were being surrounded for carrying Rania.

"Let them come. Odelia will deal with a few of them and for those that make it to us, we will handle them. No matter what happens, you make sure Rani reaches the border and Chang Wook will be waiting for her.

"He will take over and make sure she gets everything wants when outside the realm, understand?" Han Seong said and Oshita just gave him a thumbs up.

They had all been ready for such a situation, especially when they had first heard that Rania wanted to disappear from Incayon for a while at the alpha camp.

They had made sure that no matter what happened, Kim Rania was never alone, because if any of them would have been in her situation, she would have moved heaven and earth to keep them safe.

They were loyal to her, in ways that were unheard of, and maybe that’s why they loved her. She was good to them, even when she had no reason to be, and they loved her for that.

"Let’s try to hurry then, because if she senses that we are being overpowered, she will shift into her wolf, and I doubt she wants to leave a blood trail when she leaves this place," Paloma said and they all nodded.

The road to the borders was dusty as hell, which made their lives a little too difficult.

However, they were thankful for the bushes nearby because they are able to make their own pathway there. All this time, Rania was peacefully sleeping on Oshita’s back, like she wasn’t in danger. She wasn’t in the mood to fight, but her mind was alert.

Just like Paloma had told Oshita, she was never going to let her people be in danger.

"Look who we have here. Two rogues, a witch, and the murderous alpha turned rogue. This is going to be beautiful," one wolf said as the other cheered. There were about seventy wolves, ready to get a piece of Rania.

From their scents, it was obvious that they were for different packs.

It was quite sad, how the packs of Obren had been united by one thing, one person so broken and bruised emotionally. A woman who had nothing to live for anymore and yet a woman who would fight them to the dead if she had to.

Maybe they had come here hoping that Rania would have been alone, because then, they wouldn’t have to worry about using too much force, because they would definitely overpower her.

Rania was a wolf and not a warlock who could use magic to make things happen, and if overwhelmed the Incayon alpha would without second doubt, give up. But none of her friends were going to let that happen.

"This girl needs to get some sleep, so I will walk out of this stupid circle and you people will go back to your packs, and everyone can live their lives.

"I do hope you guys remember that we rogues don’t have to follow any rules that pertain to Obren and given we have our queen here, who will you report us to?" Oshita taunted proudly as he looked around the circle.

The wolves were huge and looked like they could smash Obshits’s face in just because he was talking about things that they didn’t appreciate. Maybe they would really do that, but was that even an issue right now?

"Y’know what, you’re right. We can help her sleep,... forever!"
