Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 85 : Too Many Guests From The Multiverse
Chapter 85 - 85 : Too Many Guests From The Multiverse
At the center of the telephone pole, a human figure began to take shape, his form coalescing from crackling streams of electricity. The powerful energy kept him suspended in midair, arcs of lightning surging around him.
He was tall and imposing, his skin darkened as if scorched by raw power. Dressed in a workman's uniform, his piercing eyes gleamed with an intense golden light, reflecting the swirling currents surrounding him.
ZZZT! ZZZT!
Just by standing there, the sheer voltage radiating from him scorched the nearby trees, reducing them to charred husks. The surging power lines feeding the city's grid suddenly dimmed as the electrical energy was siphoned away into his body.
It wasn't just the poles—every electrical device within the vicinity flickered and died, completely overwhelmed by the force consuming their energy. The golden lightning pulsing from his body illuminated the night sky, creating shockwaves that echoed in the air.
Peter Parker, crouched on the ground, stared in shock.
He didn't recognize the figure, but he could feel the raw, terrifying electricity emanating from him. The crackling sound of electricity filled his ears, an endless hum of power.
"Finn, this guy looks insanely strong."
Peter dusted himself off as he stood, his voice laced with a mix of awe and apprehension.
Finn didn't respond immediately, his gaze locked on the figure before them—Electro.
At that moment, Wanda Maximoff's voice cut through the tension.
"Peter! Use the spell on the compass—now! It can transport enhanced beings straight into the containment cells beneath the Sanctum!"
Before this battle, Doctor Strange had inscribed a specialized teleportation enchantment onto the compass, designed to ensnare and imprison threats within the Sanctum Sanctorum's underground chambers.
Peter reacted instantly, raising the compass and aiming it directly at Electro.

A burst of golden light shot out.
BOOM!
The spell should have hit its mark, but instead—
The golden energy ricocheted off an unseen force, twisting midair and redirecting its trajectory. Instead of striking Electro, it veered sideways and slammed into a nearby tree.
In a flash, the entire tree vanished.

Sanctum Sanctorum, New York
Deep within the mystical stronghold, Eddie Brock and Venom—already held captive—felt a sudden surge of energy in the air.
THUD!
Without warning, a massive tree materialized beside them, crashing heavily onto the stone floor.
Eddie and Venom exchanged looks of confusion.
"What the hell just happened?" Eddie muttered.
Venom's voice rumbled in his mind. "Eddie, this is exactly why we should have been there! Looks like they're struggling—"
"Shut up, Venom! Need I remind you how scared you were before?"
---
New York Suburbs
High above on the power lines, Electro hovered, his gaze fixated on the trio below.
His expression twisted with rage.
With a furious motion, he lifted both hands. In an instant, twin bolts of crimson lightning crackled into existence, the air itself vibrating with destructive energy.
Then, he unleashed them.
"Look out!"
Sensing the oncoming blast, Finn reacted instinctively, grabbing Wanda and diving for cover. At the same time, Peter shot out a web, flinging himself out of harm's way just as the bolts of energy crashed into the ground, reducing everything in their wake to ash.
"Holy crab—" Peter barely had time to breathe before another blast of lightning shot toward him.
Electro wasn't just attacking at random—he was targeting Peter specifically.
Forced into a relentless game of cat and mouse, Peter dodged, flipping and swinging between the ruined trees as arcs of electricity chased him. Each near miss sent shockwaves through the air, obliterating anything unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast radius.
The destruction was total. Trees exploded into splinters, debris rained down, and the battlefield was engulfed in a haze of smoke and flickering embers.
Electro, watching Peter evade his attacks, grew even more enraged.
His eyes locked onto a thick, heavily charged power line.
A wicked grin spread across his face as he shot forward, gripping the cable with both hands. Instantly, electricity surged into his body, his golden aura intensifying into a near-blinding radiance.
The energy he had expended was now replenished tenfold.
This was the true danger of Electro—his ability to absorb and store infinite amounts of electricity. The more he absorbed, the stronger he became, his speed and raw power increasing exponentially.
With a final surge of energy, he unleashed a devastating shockwave—an electric storm with Peter at its center.
---
"Spider-Man is in serious trouble. We have to do something!"
Finn clenched his fists as he watched Peter struggle.
Wanda, however, remained calm, her scarlet energy flickering to life in her palms.
"Peter, get him to me! Don't run too far!"
Hearing her, Peter didn't hesitate. He swung high, looping through the air before landing beside her.
Without missing a beat, Wanda raised both hands, a concentrated sphere of crimson energy forming in her palms.
As Electro lunged forward, Wanda released the blast.
BOOM!
A searing beam of scarlet light shot forward, streaking across the battlefield like a comet.
For a split second, it seemed like the attack would connect.
Then, without warning—
Electro raised his arms.
And absorbed it.
The entire beam was pulled into him, vanishing in an instant as his golden aura darkened into a deeper, more ominous glow.
Wanda's eyes widened slightly in surprise.
Finn, witnessing the event, let out a stunned breath. "Oh, come on! He's not just resisting attacks—he's evolving!?"
Wanda was no ordinary sorcerer—her powers were immense. Yet, even her strongest strikes seemed useless against Electro.
And to make matters worse, the absorption had changed him.
His form had shifted slightly, his features sharper, his presence more menacing.
They weren't just fighting Electro anymore.
They were fighting something even more powerful.
Still, the brief distraction was enough.
Peter reached safety.
But Electro was already closing in, his speed exponentially greater than before.
Wanda had no choice.
Throwing her hands forward, she conjured a protective barrier—a radiant, golden shield that enveloped them just as Electro launched another devastating lightning strike.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Each blast sent ripples through the barrier, but it held firm.
Behind it, Peter hunched over, catching his breath. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he turned to Finn.
"Finn, what the hell is going on? Why didn't the compass work?!"
Finn exhaled sharply. "Because Strange's spell only works on physical entities. Right now, Electro isn't just a man—he's pure energy. That means teleportation won't work on him."
Peter groaned. "So, what? We're screwed?"
Finn frowned. "No, but it means we need a new plan. Fast."
As Electro loomed over them, his lightning-charged eyes glowing with unrestrained power, they knew one thing for certain—
This fight was far from over.
...
After all, Finn had taken the compass from Peter.
His left hand glowed faintly, an ethereal shimmer wrapping around the entire compass.
This caught the attention of both Peter and Wanda.
Peter leaned in, puzzled. "Finn, what are you doing? Didn't you say the compass is useless against Electro?"
Finn ignored him, focusing instead on amplifying the glow of the spell to an almost blinding brilliance.
Wanda, still maintaining the magic shield, observed with intrigue. "Finn, you seem to have unlocked another layer of magical potential."
Not long after, Finn completed the enchantment on the compass. Holding it steadily, he stepped out, leaving the safety of the protective barrier.
Peter instinctively reached out to stop him, but it was too late.
Finn raised the compass high, and a sudden burst of golden energy erupted from it, weaving through the countless arcs of electricity before striking Electro directly.
Swish!
With the golden light enveloping him, Electro vanished in an instant, transported away as if he'd never been there.
The once-ferocious storm of electricity dissipated, and the battlefield fell eerily silent.
"Oh my God, Finn! How... how did you do that?!" Peter exclaimed, dragging his exhausted body toward Finn.
The compass had been deemed useless, after all. Peter himself had used it before, without issue. So what had changed?
Wanda lowered her hand, allowing the magic shield to dissolve. As she approached, she explained, "Finn was modifying the spell on the compass just now. That's how he was able to banish Electro completely."
Finn nodded. "The witch is right. Stephen never fine-tuned the spell properly. If he had, sending Electro away wouldn't have been so difficult."
Even though he had successfully removed Electro, Finn couldn't help but grumble about Strange's lack of attention to detail.
Peter's eyes widened beneath his mask. "Wait, Finn—you can do magic?!"
That realization hit harder than he expected. Strange had once told him that learning magic required an innate ability. Yet, here was Finn, wielding it with ease.
Finn rolled his eyes and ignored Peter's stunned reaction.
But just then—
From the corner of her eye, Wanda noticed something. Even though Electro was gone, the compass in Finn's hand still pulsed with magical energy.
"Finn, look at this!"
"Huh?" Finn glanced at the compass and frowned. The fluctuations hadn't ceased.
Could it be that Electro wasn't the only multiversal visitor?
"Let me scan the area," Peter said, shaking off his earlier surprise. He pressed his right hand against his left, activating the AI system in his suit.
A holographic blue screen appeared in front of him, displaying an advanced scanning interface.
With a simple touch, a web of red light spread outward, sweeping the vicinity like an extended version of his Spider-Sense.
Finn stepped forward and clapped a hand on Peter's shoulder. "Don't bother. They're right under our feet."
Both Peter and Wanda glanced down, confused.
Then, without warning—
The ground beneath them shifted. Sand bubbled up, gathering and coalescing into a massive humanoid figure.
Before they could react, they found themselves being lifted high into the air.
"What the hell?!" Peter wobbled on unstable footing, struggling to maintain his balance.
The giant form beneath them trembled violently, trying to shake them off, but failed.
Then, with the force of a collapsing building, a massive fist rose and came crashing down toward them like a meteor.
They moved fast—leaping back at the same time to avoid the devastating impact.
Peter landed first and smirked. "Well, at least this big guy isn't as bad as Electro."
He turned to Finn. "How did you even know he was here?"
Finn ignored him, his gaze fixed on their newest opponent.
Sandman.
Of course.
Electro had appeared, so it only made sense that Sandman would follow. Another anomaly from another universe.
Slowly, Sandman turned, scanning the three of them with hollow eyes filled with shifting sand. Then, the moment he saw Peter, his mouth twisted into a scowl.
"Where did the lightning guy go?" he demanded.
His voice rumbled, his sand-like lips barely moving.
He had seen everything—from beneath the surface, hidden within the sand.
"Peter, you better have a damn good explanation," Sandman growled.
Wanda shot Peter a suspicious look.
"Don't look at me like that!" Peter protested, holding up his hands. "I don't know this guy! He's probably mistaking me for someone else."
Underneath his mask, Peter was genuinely baffled.
Sandman's expression shifted as realization dawned. "You're not the Peter I know."
But before anyone could respond, he swung his massive sand-formed fist at Peter without hesitation.
"Whoa!" Peter's Spider-Sense flared, warning him just in time to dodge.
"Seriously?! Why do people keep trying to punch me today?! What did I do?!" Peter shouted, twisting mid-air to avoid another incoming strike.
A series of sonic booms followed as Sandman's attacks came relentlessly.
Peter flipped, jumped, and weaved through the air, narrowly evading each strike.
Every impact of Sandman's fists against the ground sent tremors rippling outward, the earth cracking and splintering like a shattered web.
Dust filled the air, debris scattered, and nearby trees were uprooted under the sheer force of Sandman's rampage.
"Finn! I could really use some help here!" Peter yelled between evasive maneuvers.
Boom!
Another colossal fist slammed down, barely missing Peter by inches.
Peter knew he couldn't keep dodging forever. He had to fight back.
With a flick of his wrists, he launched multiple strands of webbing toward opposite ends of the battlefield, pulling hard to create a massive net.
As Sandman lumbered forward, Peter pulled the trigger—
The net contracted, catching Sandman in its sticky grip and yanking him off balance.
Boom!
The massive figure crashed to the ground, sending up a thick cloud of dust.
For a moment, silence settled over the battlefield.
Peter cautiously stepped forward, about to assess the damage—
But before he could, Sandman surged upward, his body reforming at an alarming speed. His fist, now reinforced with dense, compacted sand, shot toward Peter's face.
Spider-Sense triggered again. Peter barely had time to react.
But he didn't need to.
From a short distance away, Finn lifted his hand.
The compass spun wildly, pulsating with golden energy. A beam of light shot out, striking Sandman directly.
Just like Electro before him, the massive sandstorm of a man vanished instantly—sent back to where he belonged.
Peter exhaled, shaking his head in disbelief. "Magic is insane."
Then, he noticed Finn's expression darken.
"Finn? What's wrong?"
Wanda stepped closer, sensing his unease.
Finn frowned, staring at the compass. The needle inside it was still turning.
"It looks like we have more guests in this universe than we thought," he murmured.
