Chapter 119: Grand Breakfast 2

When Sage arrived at the hallway leading to the kitchen, Katherine met her and grabbed her arm, causing her to halt her steps and jerk her arm away from Katherine’s grip.

"Let go of me Katherine!" Sage pushed Katherine away from her and leaned back against the wall.

She rubbed the hand she had struck earlier and swallowed hard to keep the pain at bay.

Katherine remained silent, staring at Sage in disbelief. "You have a brother?!" She exclaimed.

"As I previously stated, I have a lot to tell you." Sage said with a deep sigh.

"I see that, and I am also surprised to see you and the ice dragon so close together."

"Yes, yes yes." Sage smiled faintly. "You should leave me and go eat your breakfast." She added.

Katherine locked her gaze on Sage, whose mind was filled with Stefan’s words which were echoing continuously in her head.

She didn’t want to be bothered by anyone but she was bothered.

She felt stupid for leaving the dining room in such a dramatic manner, which made her smile and roll her eyes.

"It is clear that Cyrus and um... Stefan do not get along, but you should learn to control your emotions in that kind of situation." Katherine provided advice.

Sage gave a nod. "The thing is, Stefan is right; Cyrus is meant to kill me. Stefan keeps reminding me, and it makes me feel foolish because I am in love with Cyrus, the one who will kill me." She spoke in a hard tone, closing her eyes and letting out a deep sigh as she finished her words.

Katherine was stunned, while Sage smiled, not regretting what she had said.

"I came for some fresh air because I was suffocating from the bad tension in the dining room." Katherine smiled as Sage laughed.

"What a dramatic fire mage." She scoffed, tapped Sage on the shoulder, and then grabbed her arm. "Now come and have breakfast with your wonderful husband." Katherine teased despite her strong dislike for Cyrus.

They returned to the dining room, smiling, and gasped in unison when they saw the chair Stefan had been sitting in was completely covered in ice.

Cyrus had his hand around Stefan’s neck and lifted him off the ground, staring calmly at Stefan, who was gasping for air and had a red face from lack of oxygen.

"Cyrus!" Sage called out in surprise.

"Why did you run out like that, parrot?" Cyrus exclaimed calmly without looking at her.

Ashton seemed amused by the drama, while Katherine returned to her seat next to the unbothered River. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"I ran out because I wanted to." Sage walked angrily towards Cyrus and Stefan.

"As a result of his words." Cyrus growled as he tightened his grip on Stefan’s neck.

"Let him go! Everything is fine with me!" Sage yelled.

Cyrus’ lips twitched and he released Stefan who fell to the ground landing on his butt making Ashton burst into laughter.

"Enough with the drama," Mirabella groaned in disgust and looked at the lords who all looked extremely tensed.

Cyrus knew Sage just wanted some fresh air because of the bad tension in the dining room, but he also knew she was affected by Stefan’s words, and when she struck her hand on the table, he had to act, which led to him wanting to turn Stefan into an ice sculpture, and when Stefan dodged his attack, he ended up wanting to strangle Stefan to death.

Arthur and Victor walked into the dining room, removed the frozen chair, and replaced it with a brand new one.

Sage frowned at Cyrus, who smirked and approached her. "Now that the bad tension is gone, do you want to have a nice breakfast?" He asked calmly, holding her struck hand and rubbing the bright red part that revealed she had really struck her hand.

"What if I say no?" Sage asked, rolling her eyes, furious at him for nearly killing her brother.

"I will gladly obey you, my love," Cyrus chuckled, causing Sage to scoff and jerk her hand away from his loose grip.

"They are so adorable," River teased.

"Adorable?" With a scoff, Ashton inquired. "You have not witnessed anything."

"Oh?!" River inquired, surprised.

Sage smiled faintly as she looked at Stefan, who was breathing slowly. "I apologize," she said.

"Do not apologize," he said as he grunted and stood up. "I am the one who should apologize for speaking in that manner."

"I am not impressed with such a cheesy lord." Stefan glared furiously at the happy looking demon as Ashton taunted him.

Cyrus took a seat and drew a chair for Sage next to him. "It is time to eat, I am hungry." he said to sage.

"This breakfast is taking much longer than anticipated." Sage grumbled and sat down next to him. "I will not blame anyone," She added with a small frown.

Stefan took his seat, avoiding everyone’s gaze, and Ashton smiled amusement at him.

Mirabella noticed this and her jaw dropped. "What in the hell.."

Everyone began eating, and Sage this time fed herself to avoid further fights, while Cyrus ate with his gaze fixed on her as she ignored him.

Everyone ate and drank to their hearts’ content, enjoying the delicious meals that the fightless atomsphere in the dinning room provided.

Just as the breakfast was getting ending, Cyrus’ gaze shifted to his wife and to the entrance, where he noticed a very frail-looking unwanted guest.

No one noticed him, so Cyrus returned his gaze to his wife until Ashton shifted his gaze to the unexpected visitor and smiled happily.

"The water mage has arrived! The reunion just keeps getting better and better." He laughed and slowly drank from the wine cup licking his lips.

Everyone’s gaze was drawn to Darren, who was looking at his friends, Sage and Katherine, with a shaky smile playing on his dried pale lips.

"Darren!" Sage and Katherine called shock and excitement.

They wanted to rush to him, but Cyrus grabbed Sage’s hand, causing her to stop, and River grabbed Katherine’s hands, causing her to stop.

The ladies looked at their partners in disbelief, and Ashton burst out laughing, anticipating another round of drama.
