Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 104: Regretful Mirabella
Mirabella trailed behind Cyrus, attempting to keep up with him as he walked faster than expected.
He didn’t seem to want to say anything to her, or did he only want to talk to her in the garden and not as they walked there?
They arrived on a balcony with a small table and two chairs nearby. It was a great place to eat lunch as it had a good sight of the ice garden.
There were trees made entirely of ice that bore blue flowers and fruits. There were also rare flowers in the garden, mostly white and blue with no sign of green.
They entered the garden, and Cyrus came to a halt, turning to face Mirabella, who was visibly nervous.
"I am well aware of your dislike for my wife, and it bothers me." Cyrus spoke calmly.
"I.."
"Do you despise her to the point of murdering her, as Isabella did?" Cyrus cut in.
"You already know how much I love you." Mirabella stated, her blue eyes welling up with tears.
"And ever since you told me, I have told you I do not love you and never will." Cyrus stated unequivocally.
"But I had hope, and..."
"Had." Cyrus shook his head and chuckled. "Because you are aware that I am now married, but you still wish to be that bad egg and take her away from me. Do you believe that if you do, I will become yours?" Cyrus inquired, disappointed, and Mirabella felt a blow to the heart.
"I am well aware that you frequently sneak into the dungeon, which is why you know the water mage. I am fond of you, and I do not want you to betray me like your father and Isabella did." Cyrus spoke calmly, while Mirabella’s eyes widened in surprise.
Cyrus had never spoken like he was right now; she almost thought she was dreaming until Cyrus pulled her hair and she slapped his hand away.
"Do not look at me that way." Cyrus smirked.
"What the hell is going on?" Mirabella exclaimed in surprise.
Cyrus appeared to be acting naturally.
"I am sure I am dreaming!" Cyrus pulled her hair again, causing her to squeak in pain and slap his head away.
"Stop doing that!" He chuckled and rolled his eyes at her as she yelled.
Mirabella, Isabella, and Cyrus grew up together, and despite the fact that Cyrus was mostly isolated as a child, he occasionally came out, and when they tried to play with him, he always called it a distraction.
"Do you not have a frozen heart?" Mirabella yelled.
"It has been melted. Isn’t it surprising?"
Mirabella stiffly nodded, not used to Cyrus being so... not Cyrus.
Mirabella took a deep breath. She had been so envious of Sage and obsessed with Cyrus that she had almost lost herself.
Cyrus looked at her blankly, seeing how sad she had become.
"You did nothing, you did not hurt her; if you had, I would have killed you with my own hands." He said this while patting her head, causing her to gasp and look at him.
"Or do you intend to get rid of her?" Cyrus abruptly inquired.
"Unfortunately, no," Mirabella laughed, and Cyrus nodded.
"Ashton has been bugging you lately; feel free to bug him as well." He said this while putting his hand back in his pocket.
Mirabella frowned and nodded as she remembered Ashton. "I will." She snarled.
Cyrus nodded and smiled faintly. "Do you know why Sergio assisted Darren in escaping?" He inquired.
"Father has been acting strangely since you married the fire mage without anyone’s knowledge, but I apologise; I have no idea why he helped Darren escape." Mirabella said nervously, her gaze not leaving Cyrus, who was now lost in his thoughts.
"How familiar are you with him?" Cyrus inquired once more.
"He despises you and is madly in love with Sage. He always speaks as if he was in a relationship with her, then you snatched her away from him." Mirabella replied, her gaze fixed on Cyrus.
"He will be back soon," Cyrus said abruptly as he walked past her.
"Cyrus!" Mirabella exclaimed and dashed to Cyrus’ front.
"What is the matter?"
"Thank you." Mirabella beamingly smiled.
Mirabella burst into tears as Cyrus walked past her, out of the garden, realising she had only fallen even deeper in love with him but wanted him to be happy.
Getting rid of Sage would make Cyrus even colder than he already was.
"I do not want that," she whimpered as she wiped her tears.
She exhaled, relieved and grateful that Cyrus had spoken to her and talked her out of her jealousy. If he had been in his dark state, he would have increased her jealousy and killed her if she made a mistake.
Mirabella had always sneaked into the dungeon and pretended to the guards that she had been sent by Cyrus.

She entered the eerie dungeon with a straight face, but her eyes kept darting around in wonder.
Many of the prisoners had been killed and thrown away because Cyrus disliked keeping prisoners in the dungeon for long periods of time.
Hearing a deep grunt of pain in a seemingly empty dark dungeon cell, she moved closer and saw a dark haired mage, his dark hair gradually turning blue, then abruptly turning black, causing the mage to groan in pain.
"What the hell did the ice dragon implant in me? Those potions!" He panted and growled.
"How nice that Cyrus is back to making potions," Mirabella muttered.
The mage raised his head and looked at Mirabella. His eyes widened and he became disoriented for a moment before Rage became visible in those dark eyes of his.
"Let me go! I want to see Sage!" He yelled.
"Oh? Who is she to you?" Mirabella inquired, intrigued.
He moaned in agony and attempted to stand, but he couldn’t. "I am her lover! That ice dragon stole her away from me!" He screamed.
Mirabella’s eyes widened, and she smiled, taken aback by the information.
"What is your name?" With a small chuckle, she inquired.
"Darren Aldea!" He replied, grunting through his teeth. He fell flat on the ground, unconscious.
