The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 565: Can I join the club?

Narwhal ran for his life. He didn't know how Kai had become a Primordial, but that didn't matter because if he was caught, then he would die.

He had been alive for thousands of years, so he had seen his fair share of primordials, especially when he was around Aion so much. Their goal, their mission, revolved around exterminating deities, as he had seen when Aion would face Primordials and kill them.

One thing that each of those moments had in common was that he would simply watch.

Narwhal was one of the most powerful Titans to exist. He knew this, and everyone else knew this. But even with that power, he was nothing against a primordial, even if they had just become one not too long ago.

"Come on! Where are you going?! You sure you don't want to play around?" Kai shot multiple arcs of lightning across the asteroid field they were in, turning each one he hit into dust. If one of those bolts touched a planet, it would be vaporized in an instant.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! We should have killed him when he was a weak brat!" Narwhal tried hiding his presence, then flew behind an asteroid to avoid being seen. He hoped Kai wouldn't spot him, and when he saw other asteroids being destroyed around him, he breathed a sigh of relief.

'That bastard can't even sense me! Ha! While I have this chance, I need to contact my peers to come and pick me up.'

"Where are you, Narwhal? Did you flee with your space whale family? Come out, come out wherever you are!" Kai continued blasting asteroids, knowing where Narwhal actually was. He wanted to see what the guy would do.

'It looks as if he's trying to contact someone. Okay, I'll let that happen. Then that would lead me to your base. Hahaha!'

Kai continued destroying asteroids, slamming into them, splitting them apart with his hands, and blowing them up in order to find Narwhal.

Each time one of the massive space rocks exploded, Narwhal would flinch out of fear.

'Come on! Come on! I need to get out of here now!' As the explosions got closer, one of Narwhal's companions finally picked up.

"Narwhal? You're alive?"

"Yes! And I need an extraction! Track my mana signature! I need to leave, fast! I'm against Kai, he's a primordial!"

"W-What the fuck? Okay, I'm sending someone now!"

"Phew." Knowing that someone was coming to save him made Narwhal feel a lot better, causing him to sigh and relax. Upon looking up, he saw Kai's face staring right at him with a wide grin.

"Boo!"

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Narwhal teleported a good distance away, but a hand grabbed his hair, and a fist collided with his back.

"Arghh!" Intense pain spread through his body like a raging fire. It was nearly too much to bear, but he held on, turning around to strike Kai back.

"What? You wanna fight now?" Kai grabbed the arm Narwhal used to attack him, snapped it in half, then blasted him in the chest, ripping his arm off in the process.

"Hmm? This will come in handy." He tossed the arm into his inventory.

"Agh! Fuck! I'll kill you!" Narwhal shouted in a fit of rage, charging back at Kai with his arm regenerating.

"You promise?!" Kai was interested in seeing how Narwhal would try to kill him, but he knew that his death would never happen.

A wave of vibrant purple energy surged toward Kai like a wave from a tsunami. The power coming from the attack was enough to end a civilization.

Kai defended himself with a barrier made out of golden light, watching the water-like energy flow around him and collide with the asteroids, destroying them.

He remembered what Narwhal's power had felt like after taking a beating from him all those years ago, and seeing it again really angered him to the core. The helpless man he was before was now gone, replaced by a ruthless god killer. Well, he saw himself like that because he believed it was badass.

Before Kai could make his move, Narwhal made his own. Two massive purple hands slammed into Kai's barrier in an attempt to crush him. While the energy hands were powerful, Kai was stronger.

"Don't tell me that this is all you got? Come on! What happened to the same Narwhal who had no issues beating me all those years ago?"

"Tsk! I'll show you how I was back then!"

Kai laughed, appeared in front of the Titan, and placed his hand on his chest. "No, you won't."

A beam of energy shot into Narwhal's chest, sending him flying into the deep dark that was space. He flew so fast that someone would mistake him for a comet passing by.

Since there was nothing stopping Narwhal from moving, he continued to be knocked away in the direction Kai had blasted him in, that was, until a massive magic circle stopped his momentum.

Strands of mana wrapped around his arms and legs, propping him up, and a magic circle appeared above him as well.

"Nnghh! W-What is this?"

"A spell I created. I call it Narwhal's special torture chamber because I hate the bastard so much and want him to suffer like the little bitch he is."

"H-Heh, that's a pretty long name for a spell."

"Meh, I was inspired by those long-ass manga titles."

"What?"

"Shut up." Kai snapped his fingers.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

Divine lightning from both magic circles shocked Narwhal all the way to his divine essence, causing him not only physical pain, but mental and spiritual pain. He couldn't escape the pain no matter what he did.

The more he screamed, the more Kai smiled. It was as if a part of him was being cleansed upon knowing that Narwhal would suffer the way he did.

But he made sure not to kill him. He wanted him alive, needed him alive. All that he was doing now was waiting for that escort to save him and follow them to their secret hideout.

'Ohh, they're here! Time to put on an act.'

"How does it feel, Narwhal? Knowing that you'll die by my hands?! Hahahaha! It must suck, huh? Your life is nothing! You serve ZERO purpose! You should kill yourself NOW! And give somebody else a piece of that oxygen and ozone layer that's covered up so that we can breathe inside this blue trapped bubble. Because what are you here for? To worship me? KILL...Wait. That won't work. We're not inside a planet right now. Dammit."

Narwhal had no idea what Kai was saying or what he meant, but the moment he saw his companion sneak up behind Kai, he grinned through the pain.

"What's so funny, you little shit?! Want me to kill yo—" Kai felt something stab him in the back, piercing his heart in the process. The pain was excruciating, and he lost his concentration, causing the spell to break.

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! This is what happens when you become too arrogant, young primordial! You should have killed me when you had the chance!" Narwhal flew over to Kai and started beating the shit out of him.

"P-Please! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Spare me!" Kai begged

"Hahahahaha! Spare you? Fuck that! I'm going to kill you right now!"

"Wait, Narwhal. We have to leave now. I felt Clarisse's energy nearby." The escort urged.

"Very well. Any last words, brother of Aion?"

"Y-You...you should have gone for the head." Kai blasted a hole in Narwhal's chest, hurting his friend in the process.

Again, he didn't kill him, but that injury would hurt for days to come.

"S-Shit!" The friend took Narwhal and warped away.

"Yeah! You'd better run! Fucking pussies. Nngh, in the heart, man? Come on." Kai healed himself, then cracked his neck.

"You let them get away?!" Clarisse watched the whole thing and didn't like that Kai was fooling around, which led to Narwhal getting away.

"You're like, a gazillion years old, how stupid are you? Stop thinking from my perspective and think from that warrior perspective that you have."

Clarisse paused, recounted the whole battle, then smirked. "His arm."

"There you go, you ancient fossil. His fucking arm. I made sure to grab a piece of him in order to track him later. Now, I will know where the bastard is, and he can't hide from anyone. Hahahahahahahaha!"

"You were fooling around the whole time."

"When you corner an injured wolf, either two things would happen. One, their pack will come and help them, or two, they die. Since I didn't kill him right away, he called for help, and boom, help arrived."

"But you were stabbed. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it was all a part of the act." Kai took out the arm and started sensing the energy coursing through it. Once he fully got a grasp of the energy signature, he searched the whole universe for Narwhal's location.

He didn't even know that he could search the universe. He just extended his senses as far as they could go, and boom, the entire universe is being sensed by him. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

"What the fuck? White holes exist?" Kai thought they were a scientific theory

"Yeah. All sorts of phenomena exist in the universe." Clarisse nodded.

"Wow. Well, he's in a white hole. It's approximately 1 million light-years away."

"Okay, let's get on the move, then."

"I wonder if they would let me join their club? Their little Aion-loving club. I could wipe them out from the inside, hahahahahahahaha!"

"What's up with you and these laughs?"

"No idea. I'm in my villain phase, I guess."
