Manaless Mage-Chapter 290: We’ll meet soon… manaless mage
Chapter 290: We’ll meet soon... manaless mage
However, all he could remember was a vague image of the planet. Even the name he managed to recall didn’t sound right, making him feel even worse.
"At least... it’s something," he thought, gritting his teeth in frustration.
Unbeknownst to him, something completely unexpected was happening with the man locked inside the chain cage.
"Ugh..." The man grunted, wriggling helplessly within the grip of huge, black chains.
Blood trickled from his mouth, but the chains wrapped around his face trapped the liquid, choking him. His arms throbbed, bones snapping and healing in a torturous cycle, as if his body was caught in an endless loop of pain. Worse, the chains fed off his blood, growing stronger with each drop.
The pain was unbearable, and because his mouth was covered, he couldn’t even scream, only writhing in agony.
All around him was pitch black, the chain cage leaving no space for even a single ray of light to seep in.
’Kronos... celestials...’ He muttered inwardly, seething with rage.
Their faces were burned into his memory.
He would never forget them.
He would never forgive them.
Not until he repaid them a thousandfold for all the suffering they had put him through. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
’It’s not over yet,’ He thought, fighting against the pain coursing through his body as he focused deep within himself.
A faint blue flame flickered in his chest, glowing with a soft, yet brilliant light.
The flame acted as the only light within the peering darkness around him, filling his heart with hope.
His eyes widened in excitement as he coaxed the flame to life, guiding it through his battered body.
The pain eased slightly as the flame spread to his arms, warming his shattered bones.
’This is it... it’s back!’ He thought, quickly swallowing down the blood threatening to spill from his mouth.
He carefully pulled the blue flames from his arms, gathering them back into his chest. The flame suddenly bloomed like a flower, rapidly expanding until it covered his entire torso.
However, the man quickly compressed it, forcing the flame back into a single point in his chest.
He repeated this process, spreading the flame throughout his body before drawing it back in.
Though this task was incredibly difficult, he did it with such ease that it seemed like the simplest thing in the world.
’The time is near... I can feel it,’ he thought, watching the flame as it now flowed freely through his body.
Suddenly, a thin blue wisp of the flame twitched, causing his brow to furrow.
He slowly turned his head, ignoring the pain of the chains tugging at his neck.
The bones in his neck and even his jaw crumbled into dust, the sound echoing in the dark cage.
But he acted as if nothing had happened, his eyes fixed in the distance, as if he could see something there.
’We’ll meet soon, sooner than you think... manaless mage.’

Four Months Later...
’Finally...’ Harry thought, lazily stretching his arm.
He was sitting in a small yet neatly arranged room, with a bed and a sofa tucked off to the side.
The room was different from his own—it was one the academy had prepared for him to stay in for the night before the big day.
And that day was today—the day the World Academy Tournament would begin!

Over the past four months, he had spent a lot of time in the beast forest, completing quests and hunting whatever mana beasts he could find.
But despite his hard work, he hadn’t leveled up, mainly because of the large amount of EXP needed to advance.
He had also realized that hunting low-stage mana beasts didn’t cut it for him anymore.
With how strong he had gotten, even stage two and stage three beasts were no challenge.
Just one lightning ball was enough to take their lives, even without infusing the attack with his energy.
Their speed was so slow that the fights quickly became boring.
And because the gap between their strength and his own was so huge, he only gained small amounts of EXP from them.
Draining their mana gave him a bit more EXP, but it wasn’t much.
In the end, it was the quests he completed and the mana he drained from the beasts that accumulated to 200,000 EXP.
He had also gained stat points from some of the quests, which he used to increase his stats.
However, he still kept three hundred of his stat points in reserve, just in case of an emergency.
Even though his stats were now very high—higher than many Elementalists—he didn’t consider himself strong.
The powers he had seen in Leon’s memories were still fresh in his mind, constantly reminding him of how weak he still was.
There was also that stage four mana beast he had encountered a few months back... its stats were over four hundred!
He could still remember how helpless he felt in front of that beast, unable to react to its attacks.
Harry couldn’t help but wonder—if he faced that same mana beast today, would he be able to defeat it?
’If stage one to three mana beasts won’t work for me anymore, I’ll just have to go for stronger ones,’ Harry thought, clenching his hand into a fist.
The World Academy Tournament opened up different opportunities for talented Elementalists.
Mages from all over the world would be watching, looking for the next powerhouse.
The AMO and many other guilds would also have their eyes on the event, scouting for new talent.
But what Harry was most interested in were the rewards for the winners.
Not only would they secure a position in the AMO, but they would also receive a rank five beast core, a large monetary reward, and high-quality training materials.

With this Chapter, the fourth volume of manaless mage is officially over! For me, we have finally gotten to half of the story, though not literally, lol. I never thought I’d get this far to be honest, but here we are, and I hope it has been a fun ride so far.
From this point, we’ll be entering into the ’main part’ of the novel, and explore the world as we go. Kindly drop your thoughts and opinions on the story so far, I’ll really appreciate it.
