Lustful Demon King: Summoned by the Demon Goddesses!-Chapter 101: Teasing Nulissa!
The duo continued eating, chatting about various topics related to the Demon Kingdom, and soon enough, the last of the crystal-glowing root vegetables was cleared away and the decanters of shimmering, blood-red wine were empty.
The duo had mostly finished the meal, and now all there was were the illusionary stars that continued their slow, silent drift across the ceiling of the private chamber.
Nulissa broke the stillness, her movements graceful as she rose from her chair. The soft velvet of the high-backed seat seemed to sigh as she stood
"Thank you, a-lot for this Jax," She said, her voice regaining a fraction of its Clan Leader composure, though the warmth from their personal conversation still lingered in her crimson eyes.
"Allow me to show you to a private chamber. You’ve had a long day, and you deserve a proper rest before your introduction to everyone," Nulissa said.
She gestured towards a section of the obsidian wall where the veining of crimson crystal seemed to flow together, hinting at a hidden passage.
As she took a step towards it, her posture was once more that of a dutiful hostess, her role as a leader reasserting itself. She was guiding her sovereign, ensuring his comfort. It was a safe, respectful distance to maintain.
But Jax had no interest in safe distances anymore.
Just as her hand was about to trace the activating rune on the wall, he moved. It wasn’t a rush, but a fluid, deliberate motion that closed the space between them in a heartbeat. His hand shot out, not roughly, but with unshakeable purpose, and gently but firmly encircled her wrist.
Nulissa froze, a soft gasp escaping her lips. She turned, her crimson eyes wide with a mixture of surprise and a sudden, flaring nervousness.
"Jax?" she breathed, her voice barely a whisper. She could feel the warmth of his hand searing into her cool skin, a stark, thrilling contrast that sent a jolt straight through her.
He didn’t answer with words. He simply tugged, a gentle, undeniable pull that turned her fully towards him. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
He stepped into her personal space, his presence overwhelming, filling her senses with the clean, masculine scent of him and the raw power he exuded. He was so close she could see the faint, golden flecks in his dark eyes, could feel the heat radiating from his body.
"Nulissa," he murmured, his voice a low, intimate rumble that vibrated through her very bones. His other hand came up to cup the side of her face, his thumb gently stroking the sharp line of her cheekbone. His touch was electric, a caress that was both tender and possessive.
And then, he kissed her.
It wasn’t a chaste, polite peck. It wasn’t the hesitant brush of lips between two nervous strangers. It was a claiming.
His lips, firm and warm, pressed against hers with a confident certainty that stole the air from her lungs. He wasn’t asking for permission; he was taking what was now his, sealing their new understanding with the most primal of declarations.
For a moment, Nulissa was paralyzed. Her entire body went rigid, her mind a blank slate of shock.
This was the Demon King, the sovereign she had just pledged her clan to, the man who held the fate of her people in his hands. He was kissing her. The sheer audacity of it, the raw, dominant power of his actions, was terrifying.
But then, something inside her broke. It was the wall of composure she had so carefully built over years of leadership, of suppressing her own desires for the sake of her clan. Under the insistent, persuasive pressure of his lips, that wall crumbled into dust.
A soft, involuntary whimper escaped her, and she felt herself melting against him. Her tense shoulders relaxed, her body softened, and she hesitantly, shyly, began to kiss him back.
Her hands, which had been hanging limply at her sides, rose to rest tentatively on his chest. She could feel the steady, strong beat of his heart beneath the linen of his shirt, a reassuring rhythm that grounded her.
She parted her lips slightly, a silent invitation, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue sweeping into her mouth to tangle with hers. It was a slow, exploratory dance, a tasting, a learning. He was savoring her, and the thought sent a fresh wave of heat pooling in her belly.
When he finally pulled back, it was only enough to rest his forehead against hers. They were both breathing a little heavier, the air between them thick with unspoken desire.
Nulissa’s eyes were still closed, her lips slightly swollen and glistening. A deep, dark blush, the color of the richest bloodwine, stained her pale cheeks, a testament to her flustered state.
Jax chuckled, a low, warm sound that rumbled in his chest. "You’re cute when you blush," he said, his voice a husky whisper. He had noticed it before, but now, seeing it up close, a direct result of his actions, it was infinitely more endearing.
Her eyes fluttered open at his words, and the blush deepened, if that were even possible. She tried to look away, mortified, but his hand on her face held her gently but firmly in place. "I... I am not used to... this," she stammered, her voice barely audible. "It is... unfamiliar."
"I know," Jax said softly, his thumb still stroking her cheek. "But if we’re going to do this, if we’re going to date, if you’re going to be my mate, then we need to get used to it."
He looked her straight in the eye, his golden gaze serious and sincere. "We need to do things like this. Now. Not later. Not when it’s ’convenient.’ I’m not interested in a political arrangement, Nulissa. I’m interested in you,"
The directness of his words, the raw honesty in his eyes, was more disarming than any forceful advance. It stripped away the last of her defenses, leaving her feeling vulnerable and exposed, but also cherished in a way she had never experienced. He saw *her*, not just the Clan Leader.
He leaned in again, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead. "I want you to be comfortable with me. I want you to want this as much as I do."
He pulled back once more, his eyes searching hers, a silent question hanging in the air between them. He held her wrist still, his other hand dropping from her face to rest possessively on the curve of her hip.
He gestured with a nod towards the hidden door she had been about to open. "So, I’ll ask you again," he said, his voice dropping to a low, seductive murmur. "Do you want to come inside with me, Nulissa?"
