Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 530: Mountain Trolls And Darui’s Hand
Arielle glanced back once more, looking at the boy who was sitting alone while facing the moonlight that fell through the window. Outside the house, the situation got even more chaotic. Maxieno was still spitting out his flames, and Darui agilely dodged it like nothing.
Arielle had to tell Maxieno right away that Darui’s hand was the key to get the snowdrop flower. She dodged when a wolf was thrown at her. Arielle turned to the side and found a dragon snorting at her and then flying high again.
A yellow dragon stopped in front of her. Arielle didn’t recognize it. Her eyes blinked a few times in confusion. Then, the dragon transformed back into a human, and Arielle recognized him as Luffy’s father! The man once introduced himself and thanked her for helping Luffy get back into training.
"Arielle!"
"Luffy’s father!"
"What are you doing here? You need to find the flower right away! Irene and Arthur already with Violet." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"I know! But I need Darui’s hand. Darui’s hand is the key to get the flower!"
"Hand?"
Arielle and Luffy’s father looked to the side to find Maxieno biting the gray wolf’s body and slamming it aside.
"Get on top of me! We have to tell Lord Maximeno before he chew him like a snack!"
Luffy’s father instantly transformed into a dragon again, and Arielle climbed onto his back straight away. She didn’t want to waste time. The dragon then flew towards Maxieno who tried to intimidate Darui and admitted his defeat. Maxieno was very satisfied to see the old wolf struggling to get up after being thrown away really hard. Besides, Darui’s weak claws were unable to penetrate his skin.
Arielle suddenly jumped from Luffy’s father’s back and fell right on top of Maxieno’s back.
"Arielle..." Maximeno growled in annoyance. He didn’t like humans stepping on his back. Arielle almost hit by Maxieno’s flames because he thought the girl was one of those stupid wolves who thought they could bite him.
"Maxieno! We need Darui’s left hand!"
"Only his left hand?"
"Yes! Only his left hand!"
Maxieno smiled at Darui who was trying to run away. "Hold on tight, Arielle. I won’t pick you up if you fall from my back," he said, then slid towards Darui who was running very fast.
From maneuvering then clawing at the wolf’s face, all of them were in vain. With a little difficulty, Maxieno continued to chase after Darui who had fled to the forest. His large size made it difficult for Maxieno to catch up with the wolf, so he just flew over the trees.
Maxieno didn’t care about the environment and the ecosystem in that place. He burned the forest like blowing out candles on a birthday cake. Every leaf and wood started to burn, and Maxieno smiled mischievously at Darui who was starting to slow down.
Arielle held Maxieno’s body tighter when in a part of the forest that had no trees, Darui could be seen still running with all his might. Maxieno instantly bit the wolf and slammed it once more on the ground.
"Close your eyes if you don’t want to see it."
Arielle closed her eyes and grimaced in disgust when she heard Darui’s shrill scream along with the sound of something being torn apart. Arielle knew what it was, but she tried to push the image away. The thought of it made her want to throw up.
"I have it. Where we going now?"
"T-to the southeast," Arielle replied nervously.
She felt Maxieno dive back into the sky at full speed and fly towards the southeast as instructed by Arielle. Then, they found a small hill with a Darui statue marking it.
Maxieno lowered Arielle near Darui’s stone statue and transformed back into a human again. Arielle turned her head, averting her gaze from Maxieno’s face which was full of Darui’s blood from the wolf’s hands that was still pouring profusely.
As if there was no feeling of guilt or fear, Maxieno took both of Darui’s chopped hands in a relaxed manner.
"I just met a boy who claimed to be from the unicorn clan. He told me that there would be two mountain trolls guarding the snowdrop garden, and they were blind. They can only recognize the touch of Darui’s hand."
"Do they recognize the voice?"
"Eum... I didn’t ask about it," replied Arielle, making Maxieno snort in amusement.
"Whatever. Even if they refuse to give way, I’ll burn them just like I did to Darui," Maxieno said confidently.
Arielle and Maximeno then walked down the accessible path. Maxieno had to turn into a human because if he was still in the form of a dragon, he certainly couldn’t pass this way.
"Light the flames in your hand. The road is really dark," Maxieno ordered while nudging Arielle’s shoulder to make the girl light the flames.
Arielle complied with Maxieno’s request and lit blazing flames in her palms. Now, they could easily see every branch on each side.
"Are you hurt?" Maxieno asked, looking at the girl’s shirt which was covered in blood. Arielle looked at the torn part of her sleeve. She didn’t realize she was hurt. Maybe she got the wounds when Darui pushed her back earlier.
"Oh, a little. I’ll be fine," Arielle replied, but Maxieno didn’t reply.
The two of them came out of the forest and met two to three meter tall mountain trolls who were sleeping while leaning against each other’s backs.
"I smell human," said one of the trolls who then rubbed its eyes.
"Lord Darui? Is that you? I smell blood?" said the other troll while pushing his friend away, so it could sit up straight.
Arielle looked up in surprise. This was her first experience meeting mountain trolls in person. In the past, her siblings used to mock her as a mountain troll when Arielle was playing with her pets. Of course the mockery was not true. Arielle was not as big as them!
"There’s a strange smell I haven’t smelled before. Lord Darui, why is your smell mixed with blood?" asked the troll.
