Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 521: First Hard Training Under Maxieno

"What are you doing on a beautiful morning like this? You want to spend your day lazing around in your bed, huh?" Maxieno asked, making Arielle stand up right away.

She was still confused and not fully awake yet.

"Prepare breakfast for me, and we’ll start the training after that."

Maximeno walked towards Arielle’s window. He lifted his legs to stand on top of the rail, then jumped out of the window. It made Arielle scream in surprise, but then a giant red dragon with golden eyes suddenly flew up and flapped his wings.

Arielle held her heart, which was almost jumped from its place by Maxieno’s crazy actions earlier.

"Bring my breakfast to the lake. I’ll give you an hour. If you’re not there within an hour, I’ll be back to sleep," Maxieno said, then flew out of the castle to the lake.

Arielle turned to look at Otis who was looking down. "I’m sorry, Arielle. It’s hard for me to control Maxieno."

"I thought I was having a bad dream."

"Sorry," said Otis again.

Arielle smiled and said that she was getting used to Maxieno’s strange attitude, so she didn’t really care about it. She was just worried that Maxieno committed suicide, then she would not have a teacher in the future.

Arielle rushed to fix her short hair. She liked her short hair now because it felt lighter and fresher. Also, her hair now didn’t bother her much. Arielle helped Otis in the kitchen like yesterday. However, after cutting two portions, Otis put it into the basket, asking Arielle to bring it Maxieno.

"Take this first. I can do the rest. You are being chased by time. After everything is done, I will follow you," Otis said.

"Thank you very much, Otis."

Arielle left the castle in a hurry. She didn’t have a pocket watch like Otis, so he didn’t know if the hour had passed or not. Arielle ran quickly while carrying a basket containing Maxieno’s breakfast.

In the middle of her journey, Arielle heard a dragon groan. Most likely it was Abigail. Otis had forbidden her from seeing Abigail for a while because Abigail was in a sensitive stage for the next few days.

No animals, dragons, or other creatures should be nearby. Arielle could understand that and continued on her way towards the lake.

From the window of her room located in the castle tower, Arielle could see the lake more clearly. It looked very close, but while walking alone like this, she felt that the distance between the castle and the lake was quite far. On the way, Arielle also saw several young dragons flying above her head. Seeing them reminded her of Luffy.

Where had that kid been lately? Since yesterday, it seemed Arielle didn’t see Luffy.

Arielle began to feel the fresh wind. It meant the lake was getting closer. She moved her legs to run faster, and she arrived in front of the lake. Arielle turned left and right to look for Maxieno’s whereabouts.

"Maxieno!!!" called Arielle.

No answer, and it made Arielle a little nervous. She couldn’t let Maxieno hide and meet her when the hour was up. The man would definitely use that excuse not to teach her today.

"Your Majesty Lord Maxieno!" Arielle shouted. It made one of the nearby trees burst out laughing.

Maxieno jumped down, causing some of the leaves to fall as well.

"Well, I liked your last call," Maxieno said, chewing on the red apple in his hand.

Arielle tried to smile between her gasping breaths. "How? Did I arrive on time?" she asked.

Maxieno took a pocket watch from his pants then pursed his lips while heaving a long sigh like an annoyed person. Arielle’s heart was beating fast, she was afraid that Maxieno would cancel his promise again today. Without realizing it, Arielle held tightly the handle of her wicker basket waiting for Maxieno’s answer.

"Unfortunately, you’re five minutes faster so I’ll train you today," Maxieno said lazily.

Arielle just cheered happily feeling that she had won. "Yeay! Thank you!" Arielle cheered, then give the basket filled with breakfast for Maxieno.

He rolled his eyes and accepted the basket. He sat under one of the shadows of a tree while examining the breakfast that Otis had provided.

"So what should I do?" asked Arielle.

"Oh, you go into the lake and make a fire in it," said Maxieno, who then took out a container to throw away the grapes that Otis had also put in.

"Pardon?"

"Why? You can’t do it? If you can’t, you can go back to the castle and just sleep," Maxieno said lightly.

Arielle still stood there. She looked around the lake anxiously.

"You can make fire in your hands, right?" Arielle nodded. Maxieno moved his chin to ask Arielle to do it.

Arielle tried to concentrate. Then clenched her fists briefly and slowly opened them. Now an orange flame enveloped her palm. Maxieno let Arielle last for a few minutes until the girl started to feel the stinging at the tips of her nails. Arielle waved her hand several times until the fire disappeared.

"Water is an element that can extinguish fire instantly because water is an element that can counteract the power of fire. If you manage to defeat your natural deterrent element then you can already control your power so as not to injure your own body."

"Besides, with water around you, your hands will not burn. It’s just that simple," said Maximeno. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Arielle nodded and couldn’t help but obey Maxieno’s words. She walked into the lake, dipping part of her body into the cold water.

"Feeling cold? You’re a fire, if you still feel cold it means you’re still weak," said Maxieno who then chewed his food.

Arielle didn’t give any comment. It’s better for her to bite her lips hard when she feels her body start to shiver than to hear Maxieno talked to her because she is weak.

Arielle dipped her hand and focused on opening her mana flow again. Like the priests in the cathedral, they can warm water which means Arielle can potentially do the same thing, because Arielle has the element of fire, not just heat.

Once Arielle concentrated, fire appeared and instantly disappeared. Arielle stayed in the lake long enough that her legs felt stiff. But so far Arielle has had a hard time getting what Maxieno wants.
