Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 257: Arielle Is Asleep
Kael rode in the back row. In the front was Lucas, who was wearing Ronan’s clothes and his mask. Meanwhile, Ronan himself wandered aimlessly with William. The sun would rise soon. In the South, it would be very easy to distinguish the days.
They had the sun to help them read the time, whereas, in the north, they had their own calculations. Sometimes, when it was a blizzard, even one o’clock in the afternoon could look like nighttime.
On the eastern horizon, the sun was starting to appear. Lucas raised his hand, giving the order for everyone to stop. They had to meet up with Lazarus and Archie’s group to set off together for the capital. Kael was starting to get annoyed that Lazarus hadn’t come even after the sun had risen perfectly. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
While waiting for the arrival of Lazarus’ group, Kael had to explore the surrounding area to kill some informant spies who saw that they were not continuing their journey.
He also ordered someone to track Lazarus’ group because, if they arrived late, they would also be late for the capital. Not long after, Lazarus arrived cheerfully.
"What made you late? You don’t think it takes time to get to the capital?" asked Kael in a whisper towards Lazarus.
"Chill. These things are very heavy, so it is a bit difficult to carry them."
Kael stretched out his hand, splitting the cavalry in half to help Lazarus’ group carry the chests. Archie just nodded, greeting Kael. The man returned the greeting in the same way. Kael immediately pulled the reins of his horse to move to the back row.
Archie would ride alongside Lucas. Meanwhile, Lazarus covered his group’s identity with clothes belonging to the Nieverdell soldiers they slaughtered last night. Kael was at the back so he could monitor everything with a broad view.

King Hugo again summoned everyone to gather in the hall like yesterday. Mr. Heath was still following Arielle, pretending to be watching her movements.
Until now, she had not even been able to meet Sasha, but Mr. Heath said Sasha was getting better, and last night, no one had visited Sasha but himself to treat the boy’s wounds.
This morning Arielle woke up with a sore stomach and a headache. She fell asleep without filling her stomach. Tania, who was feeling better, helped Arielle to get ready. As usual, Olin was waiting in front of her room with the other two knights.
In the hall, they were still carrying out the same agenda. They listened to the news from the informants. However, today was the day of the final confrontation, so they didn’t have any relaxed expressions.
Arielle’s breathing was a little heavy since last night. Several times she felt her throat was very dry, and when Tania checked her body, she said that Arielle did not have a fever.
From where she was sitting, she could clearly hear the sound of fireworks. Even though the day was still bright, the people had started to have fun.
Arielle did not know the next tactic that Ronan prepared. Nieverdell Palace was surrounded by forest and high stone walls. There was only one way to come in, and it was the main gate with a wider road.
The back gate that Arielle often passed to get to the town center or the market could only be accessed by going around the forest and river first. The troops led by Alexis were already in the forest. All the soldiers and artillery had been installed on each side of the wall.
Queen Rosalie was clasping her hands in prayer to wish Alexis the best out there. She believed that Alexis would be able to do it.
Even Archie, with only a few hundred soldiers, managed to defeat Admiral Lazarus’ troops. Supposedly Alexis, who was assisted with more complete equipment soldiers could finish off all the northerners without exception.
King Hugo stood up from his throne. He left the hall to look around the palace to make sure everything was properly installed. The squad leaders who were guarding their respective posts raised a green flag, indicating that everything was ready.
Arielle took the opportunity to leave the hall through the door on the side. She didn’t even listen to Aron’s call. The two knights on guard immediately followed Arielle. The girl sat on a sofa to calm her heartbeat.
"Everything will be fine, won’t it?" Arielle asked Mr. Heath.
The man didn’t make a sound but nodded confidently. It seemed like the princess was having a panic attack, judging by the sound of her breathing getting faster and the sweat dripping down her temples. A newcomer offered Arielle a drink.
Arielle, who was thirsty, down her drink. Slowly she began to calm down again. Her heartbeat wasn’t racing like before. Her body began to feel relaxed. However, strangely, Arielle became a little sleepy. The girl yawned.
"I think I’ll rest here first before heading back to the hall."
The maid who gave Arielle a drink earlier nodded and told the two knights who were watching Arielle to leave the room.
"No, I was assigned to look after Princess Arielle," said Mr. Heath stubbornly.
"I see, it’s just that you guys can guard the door of this room, so no one comes in, right? Let Princess Arielle rest for a while."
Mr. Heath insisted on staying there. The man was ready to draw his sword but was immediately restrained when the door leading to the hall opened, revealing Queen Rosalie.
"What is Arielle doing here?" asked the woman who saw Arielle asleep on the sofa.
"Princess Arielle looks unwell since this morning. Maybe she was exhausted and fell asleep."
"Then what are you guys fussing about?"
The maid pointed at Mr. Heath. "These two knights don’t want to leave the lounge to give Princess Arielle some space to rest."
"Sorry for my impudence, Your Majesty. King Hugo gave orders not to take our eyes off Princess Arielle, so Princess Arielle doesn’t run away."
"Nonsense," cut Queen Rosalie who then swung her fan. She ordered the man sternly. "Get out there. Just guard the front door!"
Mr. Heath still wanted to stay where he was, but his friend stopped him. They shouldn’t run the risk of being found out if they were knights in disguise. If they were found out, their plans would be ruined.
